2 Chronicles Chapter 20 - | Early Church Bible

1: And [G2532] after [G3326] these [things] [G3778] came [G2064] the [G3588] sons [G5207] of Moab, and [G2532] sons [G5207] of Ammon, and [G2532] with [G3326] them [G1473] [ones] of [G1537] the [G3588] Ammonites against [G1909] Jehoshaphat for [G1519] war [G4171].
2: And [G2532] they came [G2064] and [G2532] reported [to the [G3588] Jehoshaphat, saying [G3004], comes [G2240] against [G1909] you [G1473] multitude [G4128] a vast [G4183] from [G1537] the [G3588] other side [G4008] of the [G3588] sea [G2281], from Syria; and [G2532] look [G2400], they are in [G1722] Hazazon-tamar -- this [G3778] is En-gedi.
3: And [G2532] Jehoshaphat feared [G5399] and [G2532] put [G1325] the [G3588] his face [G4383][G1473] to seek after [G1567] the [G3588] Boss '[G2962]. And [G2532] he proclaimed [G2784] a fast [G3521] in [G1722] all [G3956] Judah.
4: And [G2532] Judah gathered [G4863] to seek after [G1567] the [G3588] Boss '[G2962]; and [G2532] they came [G2064] from [G1537] all [G3956] the [G3588] cities [G4172] of Judah to seek [G2212] the [G3588] Boss '[G2962].
5: And [G2532] Jehoshaphat rose up in [G1722] the [G3588] assembly [G1577] of Judah in [G1722] Jerusalem, in [G1722] house [G3624] of Boss '[G2962], in [G2596] front [G4383] of the [G3588] courtyard the [G3588] new [G2537],
6: and [G2532] he said [G2036], O Boss '[G2962] the [G3588] God '[G2316] of the [G3588] fathers [G3962] of us [G1473], you not [G3780][G1473] are God '[G2316] in [G1722] raised-place-above (sky) '[G3772]? And [G2532] [do] you [not [G1473] dominate [G2961] all [G3956] the [G3588] kingdoms of the [G3588] tradition-peoples (ethnics) '[G1484]? And [G2532] [is not] in [G1722] the [G3588] your hand [G5495][G1473] strength [G2479] and [G2532] dominion , and [G2532] there is no one [G3756] against [G3844] you [G1473] the [G3588] to oppose ?
7: you not [G3780][G1473] Are the [G3588] our God '[G2316][G1473], the [G3588] [one] utterly destroying [G1842] the [G3588] [ones] dwelling [G2730] the [G3588] this land '[G1093][G3778] from in front [G4383] of the [G3588] your people [G2992][G1473] Israel, and [G2532] gave [G1325] it [G1473] to seed [G4690] of Abraham, [to the [G3588] your friend [G5384][G1473] into [G1519] the [G3588] age (term) `?
8: And [G2532] they dwell [G2730] in [G1722] it [G1473], and [G2532] built [G3618] to you [G1473] in [G1722] it [G1473] a sanctuary [to] the [G3588] name [G3686] of you [G1473], saying [G3004],
9: If [G1437] should come [G1904] against [G1909] us [G1473] evils [G2556] -- broadsword [G4501], judgment [G2920], plague [G2288], famine [G3042], we will stand [G2476] before [G1726] the [G3588] this house [G3624][G3778], and [G2532] before [G1726] you [G1473], (for [G3754] the [G3588] name [G3686] of you [G1473] is called upon [G1941] in [G1722] the [G3588] this house, [G3624][G3778]) and [G2532] we will yell to [G4314] you [G1473] from the [G3588] our affliction [G2347][G1473], and [G2532] you will hear and [G2532] will deliver [G4982].
10: And [G2532] now [G3568], look [G2400], the [G3588] sons [G5207] of Ammon, and [G2532] Moab, and [G2532] raised-place (mountain) '[G3735] Seir, in [G1519] which [G3739] you did not [G3756] grant [G1325] the [G3588] Israel to go [G1330] through [G1223] them [G1473], in their coming forth [G1831][G1473] from out of [G1537] land '[G1093] of Egypt, for [G3754] they turned aside [G1578] from them [G1473], and [G2532] they did not [G3756] utterly destroy [G1842] them [G1473] --
11: and [G2532] look [G2400], they [G1473] make an attempt [G2021] against [G1909] us [G1473], the [G3588] to come [G2064] and [G2532] to cast [G1544] us [G1473] from the [G3588] our inheritance [G2817][G1473], of which [G3739] you have given [G1325] to us [G1473].
12: O Boss '[G2962] the [G3588] our God '[G2316][G1473], will you not [G3756] judge [G2919][G1722] them [G1473]? For [G3754] there not [G3756] is to us [G1473] strength [G2479] the [G3588] to oppose against [G4314] the [G3588] multitude [G4128] the [G3588] this vast [G4183][G3778] the [G3588] coming [G2064] against [G1909] us [G1473]. And [G2532] we do not know [G3756][G1492] what [G5100] we should do [G4160], but [G3754] [are] unto [G1909] you [G1473] the [G3588] eyes [G3788] of us [G1473].
13: And [G2532] all [G3956] Judah stood [G2476] before [G1725] Boss '[G2962], and [G2532] the [G3588]ir children [G3813][G1473], and [G2532] the [G3588]ir wives [G1135][G1473], and [G2532] the [G3588]ir sons [G5207][G1473].
14: And [G2532] Jahaziel the [G3588] [son of the [G3588] Zechariah, son [G5207] of Benaiah, son [G5207] of Jeiel, son [G5207] of Mattaniah the [G3588] Levite off the [G3588] sons [G5207] of Asaph -- came [G1096] upon [G1909] him [G1473] wind/spirit/breathing '[G4151] of Boss '[G2962] in [G1722] the [G3588] assembly [G1577].
15: And [G2532] he said [G2036], Hearken all [G3956] Judah, and [G2532] the [G3588] [ones] dwelling [G2730] in [G1722] Jerusalem, and [G2532] the [G3588] king Jehoshaphat! Thus [G3592] says [G3004] Boss '[G2962] to you [G1473], Do not [G3361] fear [G5399] nor [G3366] be terrified [G4422] from face [G4383] the [G3588] crowd [G3793] the [G3588] vast [G4183] of this [G3778]! for [G3754] not [G3756] to you [G1473] is the [G3588] battle array , but the [G3588] to God '[G2316].
16: Tomorrow go down [G2597] against [G1909] them [G1473]! look [G2400], they go up according to [G2596] the [G3588] ascent of Ziz; and [G2532] you will find [G2147] them [G1473] at [G1909] tip of river [G4215] of the [G3588] wilderness [G2048] of Jeruel.
17: not [G3756] for you [G1473] It is to wage war [G4170] in [G1722] this [G3778]. Stand [G2476], and [G2532] perceive [G4920], and [G2532] see [G1492] the [G3588] deliverance [G4991] of Boss '[G2962] with [G3326] you [G1473], O Judah, and [G2532] Jerusalem! Do not [G3361] fear [G5399] nor [G3366] be terrified [G4422] tomorrow coming forth [G1831] for [G1519] meeting them [G1473]! for [G2532] Boss '[G2962] [is] with [G3326] you [G1473].
18: And [G2532] Jehoshaphat bowed [G2955] upon [G1909] his face [G4383][G1473] upon [G1909] the [G3588] land '[G1093]; and [G2532] all [G3956] Judah and [G2532] the [G3588] [ones] dwelling [G2730] Jerusalem fell [G4098] before [G1725] Boss '[G2962], the [G3588] to do obeisance to [G4352] Boss '[G2962].
19: And [G2532] rose up the [G3588] Levites] from the [G3588] sons [G5207] of Kohath, and [G2532] from the [G3588] sons [G5207] of of the [G3588] Korahites, the [G3588] to give praise [to the] Boss '[G2962], to the [G3588] God '[G2316] of Israel with [G1722] voice [G5456] a great [G3173] unto [G1519] height [G5311].
20: And [G2532] they rose early [G3719] in the morning [G4404], and [G2532] they went forth [G1831] into [G1519] the [G3588] wilderness [G2048] of Tekoa. But in [G1722][G1161] the [G3588]ir going forth [G1831][G1473], Jehoshaphat stood [G2476] and [G2532] yelled , and [G2532] said [G2036], Hear me [G1473], O Judah, and [G2532] O ones the [G3588] dwelling [G2730] in [G1722] Jerusalem! Entrust in Boss '[G2962] the [G3588] God '[G2316] of you [G1473]! and [G2532] you will be entrusted . Entrust in [G1722] his prophet [G4396][G1473]! and [G2532] your way will be prosperous [G2137].
21: And [G2532] being advised [G4823] with [G3326] the [G3588] people [G2992], and [G2532] he stationed [G2476] psalm singers and [G2532] ones praising the [G3588] Boss '[G2962], the [G3588] to acknowledge [G1843] and [G2532] to praise in the [G3588] pure ', in [G1722] the [G3588] going forth [G1831] before [G1715] for the [G3588]ce [G1411]. And [G2532] they said [G3004], Give acknowledgment [G1843] to the [G3588] Boss '[G2962], for [G3754] into [G1519] the [G3588] age (term) ` the [G3588] [is] his compassion [G1656][G1473]!
22: And [G2532] when [G1722] the [G3588]y began [G1473] the [G3588] praise and [G2532] the [G3588] acknowledgment , BOSS appointed [G1325][G2962] an ambush [G1749] the [G3588] to wage war [G4170] for the [G3588] sons [G5207] of Ammon] against [G1909] Moab and [G2532] raised-place (mountain) '[G3735] Seir of the [G3588] [ones] coming forth [G1831] against [G1909] Judah; and [G2532] they put [them] to flight .
23: And [G2532] there rose up the [G3588] sons [G5207] of Ammon and [G2532] Moab against [G1909] the [G3588] [ones] dwelling [G2730] in raised-place (mountain) '[G3735] Seir, to utterly destroy [G1842] and [G2532] to obliterate them [G1473]. And [G2532] as [G5613] they finished off [G4931] the [G3588] [ones] dwelling [G2730] in Seir, they rose up against [G1909] one another , and [G2532] took [G2983] a man the [G3588] his neighbor [G4139][G1473] for [G1519] hurt [G1312].
24: And [G2532] Judah came [G2064] upon [G1909] the [G3588] height in [G1519] the [G3588] wilderness [G2048], and [G2532] looked [G1914]. And [G2532] they looked [at] [G1492] the [G3588] multitude [G4128], and [G2532] look [G2400], all [G3956] [were] dead [G3498] having fallen [G4098] upon [G1909] the [G3588] land '[G1093]; there was not [G3756] one surviving .
25: And [G2532] Jehoshaphat came forth [G2064], and [G2532] the [G3588] his people [G2992][G1473], to despoil the [G3588]ir spoils [G4661][G1473]. And [G2532] they found [G2147] cattle [G2934] much [G4183], and [G2532] belongings , and [G2532] spoils [G4661], and [G2532] items [G4632] desirable . And [G2532] they despoiled for themselves [G1438]. And [G2532] they were [G1096] days [G2250] three [G5140] plundering the [G3588] spoils [G4661], for [G1360] there was much [G4183].
26: And [G2532] on the [G3588] day [G2250] the [G3588] fourth [G5067] they assembled [G1996] in [G1519] the [G3588] Valley of the [G3588] Blessing [G2129]; for there [G1563][G1063] they blessed [G2127] the [G3588] Boss '[G2962]. On account [G1223] of this [G3778] they call [G2564] the [G3588] name [G3686] of the [G3588] that place [G5117][G1565], Valley of Blessing [G2129], until [G2193] the [G3588] this day [G2250][G3778].
27: And [G2532] returned [G1994] every [G3956] man of Judah] to [G1519] Jerusalem, and [G2532] Jehoshaphat the [G3588] [one] leading [G2233] them [G1473] returned [G5290] to [G1519] Jerusalem in [G1722] gladness [G2167] great [G3173], for [G3754] gladdened [G2165] them [G1473] Boss '[G2962] from the [G3588]ir enemies [G2190][G1473].
28: And [G2532] they entered [G1525] into [G1519] Jerusalem with [G1722] stringed instruments , and [G2532] lutes , and [G2532] with [G1722] trumpets [G4536] into [G1519] house [G3624] of Boss '[G2962].
29: And [G2532] came to pass [G1096] a change of state [G1611] of Boss '[G2962] upon [G1909] all [G3956] the [G3588] kingdoms of the [G3588] land '[G1093], in [G1722] the [G3588]ir hearing [G1473] that [G3754] Boss '[G2962] waged war [G4170] with [G3326] the [G3588] [ones] being opponents [G5227] of Israel.
30: And [G2532] had peace [G1514] the [G3588] government ' of Jehoshaphat], and [G2532] rested [G2664] him [G1473] the [G3588] his God '[G2316][G1473] round about [G2943].
31: And [G2532] Jehoshaphat reigned over [G1909] the [G3588] Judah, being thirty-five years [old [G2094] in [G1722] the [G3588] his taking reign [G1473], and [G2532] twenty [G1501] and [G2532] five [G4002] years [G2094] he reigned in [G1722] Jerusalem. And [G2532] name [G3686] of the [G3588] his mother [G3384][G1473] [was] Azubah daughter [G2364] of Shilhi.
32: And [G2532] he went [G4198] in [G1722] the [G3588] ways [G3598] of Asa the [G3588] his father [G3962][G1473]. And [G2532] he did not [G3756] turn aside [G1578] from them [G1473], the [G3588] to do [G4160] the [G3588] upright before [G1799] Boss '[G2962].
33: Only [G4133] the [G3588] high [places [G5308] he did not remove [G3756][G1808], and [G2532] still [G2089] the [G3588] people [G2992] did not [G3756] straighten out [G2720] the [G3588]ir heart [G2588][G1473] to [G4314] Boss '[G2962] the [G3588] God '[G2316] of the [G3588]ir fathers [G3962][G1473].
34: And [G2532] the [G3588] rest [G3062] of words [G3056] of Jehoshaphat, the [G3588] first [G4413] and [G2532] the [G3588] last [G2078], look [G2400], they are written [G1125] in [G1722] words [G3056] of Jehu the [son of the [G3588] Hanani, which [G3739] he wrote down upon [G1909] a scroll of kings of Israel.
35: And [G2532] after [G3326] these [things] [G3778], participated [G2841] Jehoshaphat king of Judah] with [G3326] Ahaziah king of Israel. And [G2532] he [G3778] acted lawlessly the [G3588] to do [G4160].
36: And [G2532] he participated [G2841] with [G3326] him [G1473] the [G3588] to make [G4160] boats [G4143] even [G2532] to go [G4198] to [G1519] Tarshish. And [G2532] he made [G4160] boats [G4143] in [G1722] Ezion Gaber.
37: And [G2532] prophesied [G4395] Eliezer the [G3588] [son of the [G3588] Dodavah from [G1537] Mareshah] against [G1909] Jehoshaphat, saying [G3004], As [G5613] you participated with [G2841] the [G3588] Ahaziah, BOSS cut through [G2962] the [G3588] works [G2041] of you [G1473], and [G2532] were broken [G4937] the [G3588] your boats [G4143][G1473], and [G2532] they were not able [G3756][G1410] the [G3588] to go [G4198] into [G1519] Tarshish.
