1: In like manner [G3668] the [G3588] wives [G1135], being submitted [G5293] [to] [their the [G3588] own [G2398] husbands ; that [G2443] even [G2532] if any [G1536] resist persuasion to the [G3588] word [G3056], by [G1223] of the [G3588] [G3588] wives [G1135] behavior without a word [G3056] they will be gained [G2770],
2: having scrutinized [G2029] the [G3588] in [G1722] fear [G5401] pure behavior your [G1473].
3: Whom [G3739] let there not be [G3756] the [G3588] outward [G1855] braiding [G1708] of hair [G2359], and [G2532] adornment [G4025] of gold [G5553] or [G2228] clothing [G1745] of garments [G2440] of arrangement '[G2889]!
4: But [let it be the [G3588] hidden [G2927] of the [G3588] heart [G2588] mankind , in [G1722] the [G3588] incorruptible [ornament of the [G3588] cooperative [G4239] and [G2532] unassuming [G2272] wind/spirit/breathing '[G4151], which [G3739] is in the presence of [G1799] of the [G3588] God '[G2316] lavish [G4185].
5: For thus [G3779][G1063] at some time or other [G4218] also [G2532] the [G3588] pure ' women [G1135], the [G3588] [ones] hoping [G1679] upon [G1909] the [G3588] God '[G2316], adorned [G2885] themselves [G1438], being submitted [G5293] to [their the [G3588] own [G2398] husbands ;
6: as [G5613] Sarah obeyed [G5219] [to the [G3588] Abraham, boss [G2962] him [G1473] calling [G2564]; of whom [G3739] you became [G1096] children [G5043], doing good and [G2532] not [G3361] fearing [G5399] with any [G3367] terror [G4423].
7: The [G3588] husbands , in like manner [G3668], living with [them [G4924] according to [G2596] knowledge [G1108], as [G5613] being a weaker utensil [G4632] in the [G3588] feminine [way [G1134], bestowing honor [G5092] as [G5613] also [G2532] joint-heirs [G4789] of favor [G5484] of life [G2222], so as to not [G1519] the [G3588][G3361] hinder [G1465] the [G3588] your prayers [G4335][G1473].
8: But the [G3588][G1161] conclusion [G5056] -- all [be [G3956] agreeing [G3675], sympathizing [G4835], having brotherly affection [G5361], compassionate [G2155], obliging [G5391],
9: not [G3361] rendering evil [G2556] for evil [G2556], or [G2228] reviling [G3059] for reviling [G3059]; but on the other hand [G5121][G1161], blessing [G2127], knowing [G1492] that [G3754] in [G1519] this [G3778] you were called [G2564], that [G2443] a blessing [G2129] you should inherit [G2816].
10: For the [G3588] [one] [G1063] wanting [G2309] life [G2222] to love , and [G2532] to look [at] [G1492] days [G2250] good , let [him] cease [G3973] the [G3588] his tongue [G1100][G1473] from evil [G2556], and [G2532] his lips [G5491][G1473] the [G3588] to not speak [G3361][G2980] deceit [G1388]!
11: Let [him] turn aside [G1578] from evil [G2556], and [G2532] let [him] do [G4160] good ! Let [him] seek [G2212] peace [G1515], and [G2532] pursue [G1377] it [G1473]!
12: For [G3754] the [G3588] eyes [G3788] of Boss '[G2962] [are] upon [G1909] righteous [G1342], and [G2532] his ears [G3775][G1473] towards [G1519] their supplication [G1162][G1473]. But face [G4383][G1161] of Boss '[G2962] [is] against [G1909] the ones doing [G4160] evil [G2556].
13: And [G2532] who [is [G5100] the [G3588] [one] afflicting [G2559] you [G1473], if [G1437] of the [G3588] good mimics [G3402] you should become [G1096]?
14: But if [G1487] also [G2532] you may suffer [G3958] because of [G1223] righteousness [G1343], blessed [are you [G3107]; but the [G3588][G1161] fear [G5401] of them [G1473] you should not [G3361] fear [G5399], nor [G3366] should you be disturbed [G5015].
15: Boss '[G2962] But [G1161] the [G3588] God '[G2316] sanctify in [G1722] the [G3588] your hearts [G2588][G1473], and [be] ready [G2092][G1161] continually for [G4314] a defense to all [G3956], to the [G3588] [one] asking you [G1473] a word [G3056] concerning [G4012] the [G3588] in [G1722] you [G1473] hope [G1680], with [G3326] gentleness [G4240] and [G2532] fear [G5401];
16: conscience [G4893] having [G2192] a good , that [G2443] in [G1722] what [G3739] they should speak ill [G2635] of you [G1473] as [G5613] ones doing evil [G2555], should be put to shame [G2617] the [G3588] [ones] threatening [G1908] your [G1473] the [G3588] good in [G1722] Anointed "'[G5547] behavior .
17: For [it is] better [G2908][G1063] [for] doing good if [G1487] wants [you [G2309] the [G3588] will [G2307] of the [G3588] God '[G2316] to suffer [G3958], than [G2228] doing evil [G2554].
18: For [G3754] Anointed One also [G2532][G5547] once for [G4012] sins suffered [G3958], just [G1342] for [G5228] unjust , that [G2443] he should lead us forward [G1473][G4317] [to the [G3588] God '[G2316], having put to death [G2289] indeed [G3303] flesh [G4561], but being restored to life [G2227][G1161] to the [G3588] wind/spirit/breathing '[G4151];
