1: O son [G5207], to my [G1699] wisdom [G4678] take heed [G4337], to my [G1699] and [G1161] words [G3056] set aside [G3846] your [G4674] ear [G3775]!
2: that [G2443] you should guard [G5442] insight [G1771] good . And perception [G1161] of my [G1699] lips [G5491] I give charge [G1781] to you [G1473]. Give no heed [G3361][G4337] to a vile [G5337] woman [G1135]!
3: For honey [G3192][G1063] drops from lips [G5491] woman [G1135] of a harlot [G4204], which for the [G3588] [G4314] a time [G2540] fattens your [G4674] throat .
4: Afterwards [G5305] however [G3305] more bitter [G4089] than bile [G5521] you will find [it [G2147], and [G2532] being more sharpened rather than [G3123] sword [G3162] a double-edged [G1366].
5: for the [G3588] [G1063] of folly the [G3588] feet [G4228] lead down [G2609] the [G3588] [ones] dealing with [G5530] her [G1473] with [G3326] death [G2288] unto [G1519] the [G3588] Hades ; the [G3588] and [G1161] her tracks [G2487][G1473] are not [G3756] established [G2043];
6: ways [G3598] for [G1063] of life [G2222] she does not [G3756] come by [G1904]; [are] slippery but [G1161] the [G3588] her tracks [G5163][G1473], and [G2532] not [G3756] well-known .
7: Now [G3568] then [G3767], O son [G5207], hear me [G1473]! and [G2532] you should not [G3361] void [works [G3361] do [G4160] of my [G1699] words [G3056].
8: far [G3112] Make [G4160] from her [G1473] your [G4674] way [G3598]! You should not [G3361] approach [G1448] to [G4314] doors [G2374] of her houses [G3624][G1473];
9: that [G2443] you should not [G3361] let go to others your [means of] life [G2222][G1473], and [G2532] your [G4674] livelihood to unmerciful ;
10: that [G2443] should not [G3361] be filled with [G4130] strangers your [G4674] strength [G2479], the [G3588] and [G1161] your [G4674] toils [G4192] into [G1519] houses [G3624] of strangers should enter [G1525];
11: and [G2532] you will be repenting [G3338] at [G1909] last [G2078] when [G2259] ever wears away flesh [G4561] from your body [G4983][G1473].
12: And [G2532] you will say [G2046], O how [G4459] I detested [G3404] instruction [G3809], and [G2532] reproofs [G1650] turned aside [G1578] the [G3588] my heart [G2588][G1473]!
13: I did not [G3756] hear voice [G5456] of one correcting [G3811] me [G1473] and [G2532] teaching [G1321] me [G1473]; nor [G3761] did I set aside [G3846] the [G3588] my ear [G3775][G1473].
14: By [G3844] little [G3641] I came [G1096] unto [G1722] every [G3956] evil [G2556] in [G1722] midst of [G3319] assembly [G1577] and [G2532] congregation [G4864].
15: O son [G5207], drink [G4095] waters [G5204] from your own [G4674] receptacles , and [G2532] from your own [G4674] wells [G5421] flow [G4077]!
16: Let overflow to you [G1473] the [G3588] waters [G5204] from out of [G1537] the [G3588] your own [G4674] spring [G4077]; and into [G1519][G1161] your own [G4674] squares [G4113] let go along [G1279] the [G3588] your [G4674] waters [G5204]!
17: Let it be to you [G1473] alone [G3441] existing [G5224], and [G2532] let not [G3367] a stranger partake [G3348] with you [G1473]!
18: The [G3588] spring [G4077] of your [G1473] the [G3588] water [G5204] -- let it be to you [G1473] in particular [G2398]! and [G2532] be glad with [G3326] wife [G1135] of the [G3588] [G1537] your youth [G3503][G1473]!
19: [Let] [your] hind of friendship [G5373], and [G2532] filly [G4454] your [G4674] of favors [G5484], consort [G3656] with you [G1473]! the [G3588] and [G1161] in particular [G2398] let her be esteemed [G2233] by you [G1473], and [G2532] be with [G4895] you [G1473] at [G1722] all [G3956] time [G2540]! For in [G1722][G1063] the [G3588] this [G3778] friendship [G5373] accommodated a great deal you will be .
20: not [G3361] much [G4183] Be with [G4314] strange [woman , nor [G3366] hold [G4912] in embraces the [G3588] [one] not [G3361] your own [G2398]!
21: before [G1799] For [G1063] are of the [G3588] [G3588] God '[G2316] eyes [G3788] ways [G3598] of a man , unto [G1519] and [G1161] all [G3956] the [G3588] his tracks [G5163][G1473] he watches [G4648].
22: Unlawful [deeds [G3892] a man ensnare ; chains [G4577] and [G1161] of the [G3588] [ones] own [G1438] sins each [G1538] [is] grasped by .
23: This man [G3778] comes to an end [G5053] with [G3326] uninstructed ; and from [G1537][G1161] abundance [G4128] of the [G3588] his own [G1438] sustenance was cast forth , and [G2532] perished through [G1223] folly .
