And [G2532] again [G3825] he began to teach [G1321] by [G3844] the [G3588] sea [G2281]. And [G2532] was gathered together [G4863] to [G4314] him [G1473] crowd [G3793] a great [G4183], so that [G5620] he [G1473] having stepped [G1684] into [G1519] the [G3588] boat [G4143], sat down [G2521] in [G1722] the [G3588] sea [G2281]; and [G2532] all [G3956] the [G3588] crowd [G3793] close [G4314] to the [G3588] sea [G2281] upon [G1909] the [G3588] land '[G1093] were .

And [G2532] he taught [G1321] them [G1473] in [G1722] paralells '[G3850] many [things] [G4183], and [G2532] said [G3004] to them [G1473] in [G1722] the [G3588] his teaching [G1322][G1473],

Hearken ! look [G2400], went forth [G1831] the [G3588] [one] sowing [G4687] the [G3588] to sow [G4687].

And [G2532] it came to pass [G1096] in [G1722] the [G3588] sowing [G4687], some [seed [G3739][G3303] fell [G4098] by [G3844] the [G3588] way [G3598], and [G2532] came [G2064] the [G3588] birds [G4071] of the [G3588] raised-place-above (sky) '[G3772] and [G2532] devoured [G2719] it [G1473].

And other [G1161] fell [G4098] upon [G1909] the [G3588] rocky [place] [G4075], where [G3699] it did not [G3756] have [G2192] land '[G1093] much [G4183]; and [G2532] immediately [G2112] it rose up [G1816], because of [G1223] the [G3588] not [G3361] having [G2192] a depth of land '[G1093].

And sun [G2246][G1161] having arisen , it was scorched [G2739], and [G2532] because of [G1223] the [G3588] not [G3361] having [G2192] root [G4491] it was dried up [G3583].

And [G2532] other fell [G4098] into [G1519] the [G3588] thorns , and [G2532] went up the [G3588] thorns , and [G2532] choked [G4846] it [G1473], and [G2532] fruit [G2590] it did not give [G3756][G1325].

And [G2532] other fell [G4098] into [G1519] the [G3588] land '[G1093] the [G3588] good [G2570], and [G2532] gave [G1325] fruit [G2590] going up and [G2532] growing ; and [G2532] bore [G5342] one [G1520] thirty [G5144], and [G2532] one [G1520] sixty [G1835], and [G2532] one [G1520] a hundred [G1540].

And [G2532] he said [G3004] to them [G1473], the [G3588] [one] having [G2192] ears [G3775] to hear , let him hear !

And when [G3753][G1161] he was [G1096] alone [G2651], they asked [G2065] him [G1473], (the [ones] [G3588] around [G4012] him [G1473] with [G4862] the [G3588] twelve, [G1427]) the [G3588] paralell '[G3850].

And [G2532] he said [G3004] to them [G1473], To you [G1473] has been given [G1325] to know [G1097] the [G3588] mystery [G3466] of the [G3588] government ' of the [G3588] God '[G2316]; but to those [G1565][G1161], to the [G3588] [ones] outside [G1854], in [G1722] paralells '[G3850] all [things] the [G3588][G3956] happen [G1096].

That [G2443] [in] seeing they should see , and [G2532] not [G3361] know [G1492]; and [G2532] [in] hearing they should hear , and [G2532] not [G3361] perceive [G4920]; lest at any time [G3379] they should turn [G1994], and [G2532] should be forgiven them [G1473] [their the [G3588] sins .

And [G2532] he says [G3004] to them [G1473], Do you not [G3756] know [G1492] the [G3588] this paralell '[G3850][G3778]? and [G2532] how [G4459] all [G3956] the [G3588] paralells '[G3850] will you know [G1097]?

the [one] [G3588] sowing [G4687] the [G3588] word [G3056] sows [G4687].

And these [G3778][G1161] are the [G3588] [ones] by [G3844] the [G3588] way [G3598] where [G3699] is sown [G4687] the [G3588] word [G3056]; and [G2532] whenever [G3752] they hear , immediately [G2112] comes [G2064] the [G3588] Satan [G4567] and [G2532] takes away the [G3588] word [G3056], the [G3588] [one] being sown [G4687] in [G1722] the [G3588]ir hearts [G2588][G1473].

And [G2532] these [G3778] are in like manner [G3668] the [G3588] [ones] upon [G1909] the [G3588] rocky [places [G4075] being sown [G4687]; the ones [G3739] whenever [G3752] they should hear the [G3588] word [G3056], immediately [G2112] with [G3326] joy [G5479] they receive [G2983] it [G1473];

and [G2532] they do not have [G3756][G2192] root [G4491] in [G1722] themselves [G1438], but are temporary [G4340]; then when [G1534] happens [G1096] affliction [G2347] or [G2228] pursuit [G1375] because of [G1223] the [G3588] word [G3056], immediately [G2112] they are caused to stumble [G4624].

And [G2532] these [G3778] are the [G3588] [ones] among [G1519] the [G3588] thorns being sown [G4687]; the [G3588] [ones] the [G3588] word [G3056] having heard ,

and [G2532] the [G3588] anxieties [G3308] of the [G3588] this age (term) `[G3778], and [G2532] the [G3588] deception of the [G3588] riches [G4149], and [G2532] the [G3588] on account of [G4012] the [G3588] remaining [G3062] desires [G1939] entering in [G1531], they choke [G4846] the [G3588] word [G3056], and [G2532] unfruitful it becomes [G1096].

And [G2532] these [G3778] are the [G3588] [ones] upon [G1909] the [G3588] land '[G1093] the [G3588] good [G2570] having been sown [G4687]; the ones who [G3748] hear the [G3588] word [G3056], and [G2532] welcome [it [G3858], and [G2532] bear fruit [G2592] -- one [G1520] thirty [G5144], and [G2532] one [G1520] sixty [G1835], and [G2532] one [G1520] a hundred [G1540].

And [G2532] he said [G3004] to them [G1473], Does [G3385] the [G3588] lamp [G3088] come [out [G2064] that [G2443] under [G5259] the [G3588] bushel [G3426] it should be put [G5087], or [G2228] under [G5259] the [G3588] bed [G2825]? [Is it] not [G3756] that [G2443] upon [G1909] the [G3588] lamp-stand [G3087] it should be placed [G2007]?

For not [G3756][G1063] is anything [G5100] hidden [G2927] which [G3739] should not [G1437][G3361] be made manifest [G5319], nor [G3761] becomes [G1096] concealed , but that [G2443] into [G1519] open [G5318] it should come [G2064].

If [G1487] any [G5100] has [G2192] ears [G3775] to hear let him hear !

And [G2532] he said [G3004] to them [G1473], Take heed what [G5100] you hear ! In [G1722] what [G3739] measure [G3358] you measure [G3354], it will be measured [G3354] to you [G1473]. And [G2532] it will be added [G4369] to you [G1473] to the [G3588] [ones] hearing .

For who [G3739][G1063] ever has [G2192], it will be given [G1325] to him [G1473]; and [G2532] the one who [G3739] does not [G3756] have [G2192], even [G2532] what [G3739] he has [G2192] will be taken from him [G1473].

And [G2532] he said [G3004], Thus [G3779] is the [G3588] government ' of the [G3588] God '[G2316], as [G5613] if [G1437] a man should cast the [G3588] seed [G4703] upon [G1909] the [G3588] land '[G1093],

and [G2532] should sleep [G2518], and [G2532] should arise [G1453] night [G3571] and [G2532] day [G2250], and [G2532] the [G3588] seed [G4703] should burst forth , and [G2532] should lengthen [G3373] as [G5613] not [G3756] he knows [G1492][G1473].

For by itself [G1063] the [G3588] land '[G1093] bears fruit [G2592]; first [G4412] blade [G5528], then [G1534] stalk [G4719], then [G1534] full [G4134] grain [G4621] in [G1722] the [G3588] stalk [G4719].

And whenever [G3752][G1161] should be delivered up [G3860] the [G3588] fruit [G2590], immediately [G2112] he sends the [G3588] sickle [G1407], for [G3754] stands by [G3936] the [G3588] harvest [G2326].

And [G2532] he said [G3004], To what [G5100] should we liken [G3666] the [G3588] government ' of the [G3588] God '[G2316]? or [G2228] by [G1722] what kind [G4169] of paralell '[G3850] will we compare [G3846] it [G1473]?

As [G5613] a kernel [G2848] of mustard [G4615], which [G3739] whenever [G3752] it should be sown [G4687] upon [G1909] the [G3588] land '[G1093] lesser than [G3397] all [G3956] the [G3588] seeds [G4690] is of the [G3588] [ones] upon [G1909] the [G3588] land '[G1093].

And [G2532] whenever [G3752] it should be sown [G4687] it ascends and [G2532] becomes [G1096] [than] all [G3956] the [G3588] vegetation [G3001] greater [G3173], and [G2532] produces [G4160] branches [G2798] great [G3173], so as [G5620] to enable [G1410] under [G5259] the [G3588] its shade [G4639][G1473] the [G3588] birds [G4071] of the [G3588] raised-place-above (sky) '[G3772] to encamp [G2681].

And [G2532] with such [G5108] paralells '[G3850] many [G4183] he spoke [G2980] to them [G1473] the [G3588] word [G3056], as [G2531] they were able [G1410] to hear .

And without [G5565][G1161] paralells '[G3850] he did not [G3756] speak [G2980] to them [G1473]. in [G2596] private [G2398] But [G1161] [to the [G3588] his trainees '[G3101][G1473] he explained [G1956] all [G3956].

And [G2532] he says [G3004] to them [G1473] in [G1722] that [G1565] the [G3588] day [G2250], Evening [G3798] becoming [G1096], we should go through [G1330] unto [G1519] the [G3588] other side [G4008].

And [G2532] letting go the [G3588] crowd [G3793], they take him with themselves [G3880], as [G5613] he was in [G1722] the [G3588] boat [G4143]. But also other [G2532][G1161] small boats [G4142] were with [G3326] him [G1473].

And [G2532] comes [G1096] a tempest [G2978] wind of a great [G3173], and the [G3588][G1161] waves [G2949] put upon [G1911] into [G1519] the [G3588] boat [G4143], so that [G5620] it [G1473] already [G2235] was filling [G1072].

And [G2532] he was himself [G1473] at [G1909] the [G3588] stern [G4403] upon [G1909] the [G3588] pillow [G4344] sleeping [G2518]. And [G2532] they awaken [G1326] him [G1473], and [G2532] say [G3004] to him [G1473], Teacher [G1320] ["Rabbi [G4461]" John 1:38], is it not [G3756] a care [G3199] to you [G1473] that [G3754] we perish ?

And [G2532] having awakened [G1326], he gave reproach [G2008] to the [G3588] wind , and [G2532] said [G2036] to the [G3588] sea [G2281], Be silent [G4623]! Be halted [G5392]! And [G2532] abated [G2869] the [G3588] wind , and [G2532] there became [G1096] calm [G1055] a great [G3173].

And [G2532] he said [G2036] to them [G1473], Why [G5100] timid [G1169] are you so [G3779]? How [G4459] do you not [G3756] have [G2192] trust '[G4102]?
41
And [G2532] they feared [G5399] fear [G5401] a great [G3173], and [G2532] they said [G3004] to [G4314] one another , Who [G5100] then is this [G3778], that [G3754] even [G2532] the [G3588] wind and [G2532] the [G3588] sea [G2281] obey [G5219] him [G1473]?
