Ruth Chapter 1 - | Early Church Bible

1: And [G2532] it came to pass [G1096] in [G1722] the [G3588] days [G2250] in [G1722] the [G3588] judging [G2919] of the [G3588] judges [G2923]. And [G2532] came to pass [G1096] a famine [G3042] in [G1722] the [G3588] land '[G1093]. And [G2532] went forth [G4198] a man from Beth-lehem the [G3588] of Judea the [G3588] to sojourn [G3939] in [G1722] field of Moab, he [G1473], and [G2532] the [G3588] his wife [G1135][G1473], and [G2532] the [G3588] two [G1417] sons [G5207] of him '[G1473].
2: And [G2532] name [G3686] to the [G3588] man [was] Elimelech, and [G2532] name [G3686] [to the [G3588] his wife [G1135][G1473] was Naomi, and [G2532] name [G3686] [to the [G3588] two [G1417] sons [G5207] of him '[G1473] -- Mahlon and [G2532] Chilion, Ephrathites from [G1537] Beth-lehem the [G3588] of Judah. And [G2532] they came [G2064] into [G1519] country of Moab, and [G2532] were there [G1563].
3: And [G2532] died Elimelech the [G3588] husband of the [G3588] Naomi], and [G2532] were left [G2641][G1473] she [G1473] and [G2532] the [G3588] two [G1417] sons [G5207] her [G1473].
4: And [G2532] they took [G2983] to themselves [G1438] Moabite wives [G1135]; name [G3686] to the [G3588] [one] [G1520] [was] Orpah, and [G2532] name [G3686] to the [G3588] second [G1208] Ruth. And [G2532] they dwelt [G2730] there [G1563] about [G5613] ten [G1176] years [G2094].
5: And [G2532] died also [G2532] indeed [G1065] both Mahlon and [G2532] Chilion]. And [G2532] was left [G2641] the [G3588] woman [G1135] off the [G3588] two [G1417] sons [G5207] her [G1473], and [G2532] off the [G3588] her husband [G1473].
6: And [G2532] she rose up [G3778], and [G2532] the [G3588] two [G1417] daughter-in-laws [G3565] her [G1473], and [G2532] they returned from out of [G1537] country of Moab; for [G3754] they heard in [G1722] country of Moab that [G3754] BOSS visited [G1980][G2962] the [G3588] his people [G2992][G1473] the [G3588] to give [G1325] to them [G1473] bread [loaves .
7: And [G2532] she went forth [G1831] from out of [G1537] the [G3588] place [G5117] of which [G3739] she was there [G1563], and [G2532] the [G3588] two [G1417] daughter-in-laws [G3565] her [G1473] with [G3326] her [G1473]; and [G2532] they went [G4198] by [G1722] the [G3588] journey [G3598] the [G3588] to return [G1994] to [G1519] the [G3588] land '[G1093] of Judah.
8: And [G2532] Naomi said [G2036] [to the [G3588] two [G1417] daughters-in-law [G3565] her [G1473], Go [G4198] please [G1211]! Let return each [G1538] to [G1519] the [G3588] house [G3624] of her mother [G3384]! [May the] BOSS deal [G4160][G2962] with [G3326] you [G1473] compassion [G1656], as [G2531] you did [G4160] with [G3326] the [G3588] [ones] having died [G2348], and [G2532] with [G3326] me [G1473].
9: May BOSS give [G1325][G2962] to you [G1473] that [G2532] you should find [G2147] rest each [G1538] in [G1722] house [G3624] of her husband [G1473]. And [G2532] she kissed [G2705] them [G1473], and [G2532] they lifted up [G1869] the [G3588]ir voice [G5456][G1473] and [G2532] wept [G2799].
10: And [G2532] they said [G2036] to her [G1473], with [G3326] you [G1473] We will return [G1994] unto [G1909] the [G3588] your people [G2992][G1473].
11: And [G2532] Naomi said [G2036], Return [G1994] please [G1211], my daughters [G2364][G1473]! Why [G2444] do you go [G4198] with [G3326] me [G1473]? [Are there [G3361] still [G2089] to me [G1473] sons [G5207] in [G1722] the [G3588] my belly [G2836][G1473], and [G2532] will they be to you [G1473] for [G1519] husbands ?
12: Turn back [G1994] please [G1211], my daughters [G2364][G1473]! Go [G4198] please [G1211]! for [G3754] I grow old [G1095] the [G3588] to not [have [G3361] a husband . For [G3754] I said [G2036], Is it to me [G1473] a reality [G5287] the [G3588] to be [G1096] to me [G1473] a husband , and [G2532] will I give birth to [G5088] sons [G5207]?
13: will [G3361] you wait for them [G1473][G4327] until [G2193] of which [time] [G3739] they should become manly ? Or [G2228], for them [G1473] will you hold up [G2722] the [G3588] to not [G3361] have [G1096] a husband ? No [G3361], my daughters [G2364][G1473]; for [G3754] it is made bitter [G4087] to me [G1473] exceedingly [G4970] for [G5228] you [G1473], that [G3754] came forth [G1831] against [G1722] me [G1473] hand [G5495] [of the] Boss '[G2962].
14: And [G2532] they lifted up [G1869] the [G3588]ir voice [G5456][G1473] and [G2532] wept [G2799] again [G2089]. And [G2532] Orpah kissed [G2705] the [G3588] her mother-in-law [G3994][G1473], and [G2532] turned back [G1994] to [G1519] the [G3588] her people [G2992][G1473]. But Ruth [G1161] followed her [G1473].
15: And [G2532] Naomi said [G2036] to [G4314] Ruth, look [G2400], returned the [G3588] sister-in-law your [G1473] to [G4314] the [G3588] her people [G2992][G1473], and [G2532] to [G4314] the [G3588] her gods '[G2316][G1473]; turn back [G1994] please [G1211] also [G2532] you [G1473] after [G3694] the [G3588] your sister-in-law [G1473]!
16: said [G2036] And [G1161] Ruth], Do not [G3361] confront me [G1473] the [G3588] to leave [G2641] you [G1473] or [G2228] to turn behind [G3693] you [G1473]! For [G3754] you [G1473] -- where [G3699] ever [G1437] you should go [G4198], I will go [G4198]; and [G2532] where [G3699] ever [G1437] you should lodge , I will lodge . the [G3588] Your people [G2992][G1473] [will be] my people [G2992][G1473], and [G2532] the [G3588] God '[G2316] of you [G1473] God '[G2316] of me [G1473].
17: And [G2532] where [G3739] ever [G1437] you should die , I will die , and there [G1563] I will be entombed [G2290]. Thus [G3592] do [G4160] Boss '[G2962] to me [G1473]! and [G2532] thus [G3592] may he add more [G4369]. For [G3754] death [only [G2288] will separate [G1291] between me [G1473] and [G2532] you [G1473].
18: seeing [G1492] And [G1161] Naomi] that [G3754] she was determined [G2901][G1473] the [G3588] to go [G4198] with [G3326] her [G1473], she abated [G2869] the [G3588] to speak [G2980] to [G4314] her [G1473] any more [G2089].
19: went [G4198] And [G1161] both until [G2193] the [G3588]ir arriving [G3854][G1473] in [G1519] Beth-lehem. And [G2532] it came to pass [G1096] in [G1722] the [G3588]ir coming [G2064][G1473] unto [G1519] Beth-lehem, that [G2532] resounded [G2278] all [G3956] the [G3588] city [G4172] concerning [G1909] them [G1473]. And [G2532] they said [G2036], Is this [G1487][G3778] Naomi?
20: And [G2532] she said [G2036] to [G4314] them [G1473], Do not [G3361] indeed [G1211] call [G2564] me [G1473] Naomi! Call [G2564] me [G1473], Bitter one [G4089]! for [G3754] embittered [G4087][G1722] me [G1473] the [G3588] worthy one [G2425] exceedingly [G4970].
21: I [G1473] went out [G4198] full [G4134], and [G2532] empty [G2756] returned me [G1473] the Boss '[G2962]. And [G2532] why [G2444] do you call [G2564] me [G1473] Naomi, and [G2532] Boss '[G2962] humbled [G5013] me [G1473], and [G2532] the [G3588] worthy one [G2425] afflicted [G2559] me [G1473]?
22: And [G2532] Naomi returned [G1994], and [G2532] Ruth the [G3588] Moabitess, the [G3588] her daughter-in-law [G3565][G1473], with [G3326] her [G1473], to return [G1994] from [G1537] country of Moab. And they [G1473][G1161] came [G3854] unto [G1519] Beth-lehem at [G1722] beginning harvest [G2326] of barley [G2915].
