Psalms Chapter 78 - | Early Church Bible

1: Take heed [G4337], O my people [G2992][G1473], the [G3588] to my law [G3551][G1473]! Lean [G2827] the [G3588] your ear [G3775][G1473] to [G1519] the [G3588] words [G4487] of the [G3588] mouth [G4750] of me [G1473]!
2: I will open in [G1722] paralells '[G3850] the [G3588] mouth [G4750] of me [G1473]; I will utter [G5350] riddles from beginning ;
3: as many as [G3745] we heard and [G2532] we know [G1097] them [G1473], and [G2532] the [G3588] our fathers [G3962][G1473] described [G1334] to us [G1473].
4: They were not [G3756] hidden [G2928] from the [G3588]ir children [G5043][G1473] for [G1519] generation [G1074] another [G2087]; [but are] reporting the [G3588] praises of the [G3588] Boss '[G2962], and [G2532] the [G3588] his dominations [G1473], and [G2532] the [G3588] his wonders [G2297][G1473] which [G3739] he did [G4160].
5: For [G2532] he raised up a testimony [G3142] in [G1722] Jacob, and [G2532] a law [G3551] he put [G5087] in [G1722] Israel, which [G3739] he gave charge [G1781] [to the [G3588] our fathers [G3962][G1473], the [G3588] to make them known [G1107][G1473] [to the [G3588]ir sons [G5207][G1473];
6: so [G3704] that should know [G1097] generation [G1074] another [G2087] -- sons [G5207] the [G3588] being birthed [G5088]. And [G2532] they will rise up and [G2532] report them [G1473] [to the [G3588]ir sons [G5207][G1473],
7: that [G2443] they should put [G5087] upon [G1909] the [G3588] God '[G2316] the [G3588]ir hope [G1680][G1473], and [G2532] should not [G3361] forget [G1950] the [G3588] works [G2041] of the [G3588] God '[G2316], but [G2532] of the [G3588] his commandments [G1785][G1473] will inquire [G1567];
8: that [G2443] they should not [G3361] become [G1096] as [G5613] the [G3588]ir fathers [G3962][G1473] -- generation [G1074] a crooked [G4646] and [G2532] greatly embittered [G3893]; a generation [G1074] which [G3748] did not [G3756] straightened out [G2720] the [G3588] its own heart [G2588][G1438], and [G2532] was not [G3756] trustworthy [G4104] with [G3326] the [G3588] God '[G2316] the [G3588] its wind/spirit/breathing '[G4151][G1473].
9: sons [G5207] of Ephraim stretching tight and [G2532] shooting with bows [G5115], turned [back [G4762] in [G1722] day [G2250] of battle [G4171].
10: They did not [G3756] guard [G5442] the [G3588] covenant [G1242] of the [G3588] God '[G2316], and [G2532] by [G1722] the [G3588] his law [G3551][G1473] they did not [G3756] want [G1014] to go [G4198].
11: And [G2532] they forgot [G1950] the [G3588] his good works [G2108][G1473], and [G2532] the [G3588] his wonders [G2297][G1473] which [G3739] he showed [G1166] to them [G1473],
12: before [G1726] the [G3588]ir fathers [G3962][G1473]; what [G3739] he did [G4160] wonders [G2297] in [G1722] land '[G1093] of Egypt in [G1722] plain of Tanis.
13: [How] he tore up [G1284] sea [G2281], and [G2532] led them through [G1236][G1473]; [and] he stood [G3936] waters [G5204] as [G5616] a water bag .
14: And [G2532] he guided [G3594] them [G1473] with [G1722] a cloud [G3507] by day [G2250], and [G2532] entire [G3650] the [G3588] night [G3571] with [G1722] illumination [G5462] of fire [G4442].
15: He tore open [G1284] rock [G4073] in [G1722] wilderness [G2048], and [G2532] he gave them a drink [G4222][G1473] as [G5613] in [G1722] deep a vast [G4183].
16: And [G2532] he brought [G1806] water [G5204] from [G1537] rock [G4073], and [G2532] he led [it] down [G2609] as [G5613] rivers [G4215] of waters [G5204].
17: And [G2532] they proceeded [G4369] still [G2089] the [G3588] to sin against him [G1473]; they greatly embittered [G3893] the [G3588] highest [G5310] in [G1722] a waterless [place] .
18: And [G2532] they put God to the test [G1598] the [G3588][G2316] in [G1722] the [G3588]ir hearts [G2588][G1473], the [G3588] to ask foods [G1033] for the [G3588]ir lives [G5590][G1473].
19: And [G2532] they spoke ill [G2635] of the [G3588] God '[G2316]. And [G2532] they said [G2036], will [G3361] God be able [G1410] the [G3588][G2316] to prepare [G2090] a table [G5132] in [G1722] wilderness [G2048]?
20: For when [G1893] he struck [G3960] rock [G4073], and [G2532] there flowed [G4482] waters [G5204], and [G2532] rushing streams [G5493] inundated [G2626], will [G3361] also [G2532] bread he be able [G1410] to give [G1325] or [G2228] prepare [G2090] a table [G5132] [for the [G3588] his people [G2992][G1473]?
21: On account of [G1223] this [G3778] BOSS heard [G2962], and [G2532] was raised [in anger . And [G2532] a fire [G4442] was lit in [G1722] Jacob, and [G2532] anger [G3709] went up upon [G1909] the [G3588] Israel.
22: For [G3754] they did not [G3756] trust '[G4100] in [G1722] the [G3588] God '[G2316], nor [G3761] did they hope [G1679] upon [G1909] the [G3588] his deliverance [G4992][G1473].
23: And [G2532] he gave charge [G1781] to clouds [G3507] far above , and [G2532] doors [G2374] of raised-place-above (sky) '[G3772] were opened ,
24: and [G2532] rained upon [G1026] them [G1473] manna [G3131] to eat [G2068]; and [G2532] bread of raised-place-above (sky) '[G3772] he gave [G1325] to them [G1473].
25: bread of word-conveyers (messengers) ' ate [G2068] Man ; provisions [G1979] he sent to them [G1473] in [G1519] fullness [G4140].
26: He departed south [wind [G3558] from [G1537] raised-place-above (sky) '[G3772], and [G2532] he brought on [G1863] by [G1722] the [G3588] power [G1411] of him [G1473] southwest wind [G3047].
27: And [G2532] he rained [G1026] upon [G1909] them [G1473] as [G5616] dirt [G5522] flesh [G4561]; even [G2532] as [G5616] sand of seas [G2281] winged creatures [G4071] feathered .
28: And [G2532] they fell [G1968] in [G1519] midst [G3319] of the [G3588]ir camp [G3925][G1473] round about [G2945] the [G3588]ir tents [G4638][G1473].
29: And [G2532] they ate [G2068], and [G2532] were filled up [G1705] exceedingly [G4970]. And [G2532] the [G3588]ir desire [G1939][G1473] he brought [G5342] to them [G1473].
30: They were not [G3756] deprived off the [G3588]ir desire [G1939][G1473]; but [G2089] the [G3588] food [G1035] [was in [G1722] the [G3588]ir mouth [G4750][G1473],
31: and [G2532] anger [G3709] of the [G3588] God '[G2316] went up upon [G1909] them [G1473]; and [G2532] he killed in [G1722] the [G3588]ir plenty [G1473]; and [G2532] the [G3588] chosen ones [G1588] of the [G3588] Israel he impeded .
32: In [G1722] all [G3956] these [things] [G3778] they sinned still [G2089], and [G2532] did not [G3756] trust '[G4100] in [G1722] the [G3588] his wonders [G2297][G1473].
33: And [G2532] ended [G1587] in [G1722] folly [G3153] the [G3588] days [G2250] of them [G1473], and [G2532] the [G3588]ir years [G2094][G1473] with [G3326] haste [G4710].
34: Whenever [G3752] he killed them [G1473], then [G5119] they sought [G2212] him [G1473]; and [G2532] they turned [G1994] and [G2532] rose early [G3719] to [search for [G4314] the [G3588] God '[G2316].
35: And [G2532] they remembered [G3403] that [G3754] the [G3588] God '[G2316] their helper [G1473] is , and [G2532] the [G3588] God '[G2316] the [G3588] Highest [G5310] ransomer [G3086] is their [G1473].
36: And [G2532] they loved him [G1473] by [G1722] the [G3588]ir mouth [G4750][G1473], but [G2532] the [G3588] by their tongue [G1100][G1473] they lied [G5574] to him [G1473].
37: the [G3588] And [G1161] their heart [G2588][G1473] was not [G3756] straight [G2117] with [G3326] him [G1473], nor [G3761] did they trust [G4104] in [G1722] the [G3588] his covenant [G1242][G1473].
38: But he [G1473][G1161] is one pitying [G3629], and [G2532] he will atone [G2433] the [G3588]ir sins [G1473], and [G2532] he will not [G3756] utterly destroy [G1311]. And [G2532] he will fill [G4129] the [G3588] turning of the [G3588] his rage [G2372][G1473], and [G2532] will not [G3780] kindle [G1572] all [G3956] the [G3588] his anger [G3709][G1473].
39: And [G2532] he remembered [G3403] that [G3754] they are flesh [G4561]; a wind/spirit/breathing '[G4151] going forth [G4198] and [G2532] not [G3756] returning [G1994].
40: How often [G4212] they greatly embittered [G3893] him [G1473] in [G1722] the [G3588] wilderness [G2048]; they provoked him to anger [G3949][G1473] in [G1722] land '[G1093] a waterless .
41: And [G2532] they turned [G1994] and [G2532] tested [G3985] the [G3588] God '[G2316]; even [G2532] the [G3588] holy one of the [G3588] Israel they provoked [G3947].
42: They did not [G3756] remember [G3403] the [G3588] his hand [G5495][G1473] day [G2250] of which [G3739] he ransomed [G3084] them [G1473] from out of [G1537] hand [G5495] of one afflicting [G2346];
43: [or] how [G5613] he made [G5087] in [G1722] Egypt the [G3588] his signs [G4592][G1473], and [G2532] the [G3588] his miracles [G5059][G1473] in [G1722] plain of Tanis;
44: and [G2532] he converted [G3344] into [G1519] blood the [G3588]ir rivers [G4215][G1473], and [G2532] the [G3588]ir showers [G1473] so as [G3704] to not [G3361] drink [G4095].
45: He sent [G1821] to [G1519] them [G1473] dog-fly , and [G2532] it devoured them [G2719][G1473]; and [G2532] frog , and [G2532] it ruined [G1311] them [G1473].
46: And [G2532] he appointed [G1325] the [G3588] blight for the [G3588]ir fruits [G2590][G1473]; and [G2532] for the [G3588]ir miseries [G4192][G1473] the [G3588] locust .
47: He killed by [G1722] hail [G5464] the [G3588]ir grapevine [G1473], and [G2532] the [G3588]ir sycamine trees [G4807][G1473] by [G1722] the [G3588] frost .
48: And [G2532] he delivered up [G3860] unto [G1519] hail [G5464] the [G3588]ir cattle [G2934][G1473], and [G2532] the [G3588]ir possessions [G5223][G1473] to the [G3588] fire [G4442].
49: He sent out [G1821] to [G1519] them [G1473] anger [G3709] of his rage [G2372][G1473]; rage [G2372] and [G2532] anger [G3709] and [G2532] affliction [G2347]; a commission through [G1223] word-conveyers (messengers) ' wicked [G4190].
50: He opened road [G5147] of the [G3588] his anger [G3709][G1473]; he did not [G3756] spare [G5339] from death [G2288] the [G3588]ir souls [G5590][G1473]; and [G2532] the [G3588]ir cattle [G2934][G1473] to [G1519] death [G2288] he consigned [G4788].
51: And [G2532] he struck [G3960] every [G3956] first-born [G4416] in [G1722] land '[G1093] of Egypt; first-fruit of all [G3956] their toil [G4192][G1473] in [G1722] the [G3588] tents [G4638] of Ham.
52: And [G2532] he departed as [G5613] sheep [G4263] the [G3588] his people [G2992][G1473]; and [G2532] he led them up [G1473] as [G5616] a flock [G4168] in [G1722] wilderness [G2048].
53: And [G2532] he guided [G3594] them [G1473] with [G1909] hope [G1680]; and [G2532] they were not [G3756] timid [G1168], and [G2532] the [G3588]ir enemies [G2190][G1473] covered [G2572] sea [G2281].
54: And [G2532] he brought [G1521] them [G1473] into [G1519] raised-place (mountain) '[G3735] his sanctified [G1473]; this raised-place (mountain) '[G3735][G3778] which [G3739] acquired [G2932] the [G3588] right [hand] [G1188] of him [G1473].
55: And [G2532] he cast out [G1544] before their face [G4383][G1473] tradition-peoples (ethnics) '[G1484], and [G2532] he allotted them [G1473] by [G1722] a line [G4979] of inheritance . And [G2532] he encamped [G2681] among [G1722] the [G3588]ir tents [G4638][G1473] the [G3588] tribes [G5443] of the [G3588] Israel].
56: And [G2532] they tested [G3985] and [G2532] greatly embittered [G3893] the [G3588] God '[G2316] the [G3588] highest [G5310]; and [G2532] the [G3588] his testimonies [G3142][G1473] they did not [G3756] keep [G5442].
57: And [G2532] they turned and [G2532] annulled , as [G2531] also [G2532] the [G3588]ir fathers [G3962][G1473] converted [G3344] into [G1519] bow [G5115] a crooked .
58: And [G2532] they provoked him to anger [G3949][G1473] in [G1722] the [G3588]ir hills [G1015][G1473]; and [G2532] in [G1722] the [G3588]ir carvings [G1473] they provoked him to jealousy [G3863][G1473].
59: God heard the [G3588][G2316], and [G2532] he overlooked [G5237]; and [G2532] he treated with contempt [G1847] exceedingly [G4970] the [G3588] Israel].
60: And [G2532] he thrust away the [G3588] tent [G4633] of Shiloh, tent [G4638] in which [G3739] he encamped [G2681] among [G1722] men .
61: And [G2532] he delivered up [G3860] into [G1519] captivity the [G3588]ir strength [G2479][G1473], and [G2532] the [G3588]ir beauty [G1473] into [G1519] hands [G5495] of enemies [G2190].
62: And [G2532] he consigned [G4788] by [G1722] broadsword [G4501] the [G3588] his people [G2992][G1473]; and [G2532] the [G3588] his inheritance [G2817][G1473] he overlooked [G5237].
63: the [G3588]ir young men [G3495][G1473] were devoured [G2719] by fire [G4442], and [G2532] the [G3588]ir virgins [G3933][G1473] were not [G3756] mourned for [G3996].
64: the [G3588]ir priests [G2409][G1473] by [G1722] broadsword [G4501] fell [G4098], and [G2532] the [G3588]ir widows [G5503][G1473] will not be wept [over] [G3756][G2799].
65: And [G2532] awakened [G1825] as [G5613] the [G3588] from sleep Boss '[G2962]; as [G5613] a mighty one [G1415] being dizzy from [G1537] wine [G3631].
66: And [G2532] he struck [G3960] the [G3588] his enemies [G2190][G1473] unto [G1519] the [G3588] rear [G3694]; scorn [G3681] for of the term (age) ' he appointed [G1325] them [G1473].
67: And [G2532] he thrust away the [G3588] tent [G4638] of Joseph; and [G2532] the [G3588] tribe [G5443] of Ephraim he did not [G3756] choose [G1586].
68: He chose [G1586] the [G3588] tribe [G5443] of Judah, the [G3588] raised-place (mountain) '[G3735] the [G3588] Zion which [G3739] he loved .
69: And [G2532] he built [G3618] as [G5613] unicorn the [G3588] his sanctuary [G1473] in [G1722] the [G3588] land '[G1093]; he laid its foundation [G2311][G1473] into [G1519] the [G3588] age (term) `.
70: And [G2532] he chose [G1586] David the [G3588] his servant [G1401][G1473]; and [G2532] he took him [G1473] from out of [G1537] the [G3588] flocks [G4168] of the [G3588] sheep [G4263];
71: [even] from behind the [G3588] [ones] giving birth he took [G2983] him [G1473], to tend [G4165] Jacob the [G3588] his servant [G1401][G1473], and [G2532] Israel the [G3588] his inheritance [G2817][G1473].
72: And [G2532] he tended [G4165] them [G1473] in [G1722] the [G3588] innocence of the [G3588] his heart [G2588][G1473]; and [G2532] in [G1722] the [G3588] skillfulness [G4907] of the [G3588] his hands [G5495][G1473] he guided [G3594] them [G1473].
