Nehemiah Chapter 1 - | Early Church Bible

1: words [G3056] of Nehemiah son [G5207] of Hachaliah. And [G2532] it came to pass [G1096] in [G1722] month [G3376] of Chislev, year [G2094] [in the] twentieth , that [G2532] I [G1473] was in [G1722] Susa Abira.
2: And [G2532] there came [G2064] Hanani one [G1520] off my brothers [G1473], he [G1473] and [G2532] men of Judah. And [G2532] I asked [G2065] them [G1473] concerning [G4012] the [G3588] Jews, of the [G3588] [ones] having survived [G1295], the ones [G3739] left behind [G2641] from the [G3588] captivity , and [G2532] concerning [G4012] Jerusalem.
3: And [G2532] they said [G2036] to [G4314] me [G1473], the [G3588] [ones] remaining behind [G5275] the [G3588] surviving [G2641] from the [G3588] captivity there [G1563] in [G1722] the [G3588] place [G5561] [are] among [G1722] wickedness [G4189] great [G3173], and [G2532] in [G1722] scorning [G3680]; and [G2532] the [G3588] walls [G5038] of Jerusalem are being demolished [G2507], and [G2532] its gates [G4439][G1473] were burnt [G1714] by [G1722] fire [G4442].
4: And [G2532] it came to pass [G1096] in [G1722] the [G3588] my hearing [G1473] the [G3588] words [G3056] these [G3778], I sat down [G2523] and [G2532] wept [G2799] and [G2532] mourned [G3996] [for] days [G2250], and [G2532] I was fasting [G3522] and [G2532] praying [G4336] before [G1799] the [G3588] God '[G2316] of the [G3588] raised-place-above (sky) '[G3772].
5: And [G2532] I said [G2036], O [G5599] indeed [G1211], O Boss '[G2962] the [G3588] God '[G2316] of the [G3588] raised-place-above (sky) '[G3772], the [G3588] strong [G2478] and [G2532] great [G3173] and [G2532] fearful [one [G5398], guarding [G5442] the [G3588] covenant [G1242] and [G2532] the [G3588] compassion [G1656] to the [G3588] [ones] loving him [G1473] and [G2532] to the [G3588] [ones] guarding [G5442] the [G3588] commandments [G1785] of him [G1473].
6: Let it be indeed [G1211] the [G3588] your ear [G3775][G1473] heeds [G4337], and [G2532] the [G3588] eyes [G3788] of you [G1473] open the [G3588] to hear prayer [G4335] of the [G3588] your servant [G1401][G1473]! which [G3739] I [G1473] pray [G4336] before [G1799] you [G1473] today's [G4594] day [G2250] and [G2532] night [G3571], for [G4012] sons [G5207] of Israel your servants [G1401][G1473]. And [G2532] I declare openly concerning [G1909] sins of sons [G5207] of Israel, in which [G3739] we sinned against you [G1473]; both [G2532] I [G1473] and [G2532] the [G3588] house [G3624] of the [G3588] father [G3962] of me [G1473] sinned .
7: In parting , we parted [G1262] from [G4314] you [G1473], and [G2532] we guarded not [G3756][G5442] the [G3588] commandments [G1785], and [G2532] the [G3588] orders , and [G2532] the [G3588] judgments [G2917], which [G3739] you gave charge [G1781] [to the [G3588] Moses servant [G3816] of you [G1473].
8: Remember [G3403] indeed [G1211]! the [G3588] word [G3056] which [G3739] you gave charge [G1781] to Moses, [to the [G3588] servant [G3816] of you [G1473], saying [G3004], If [G1473] should break contract You [G1473], I [G1473] will disperse [G1287] you [G1473] among [G1722] the [G3588] peoples [G2992].
9: But [G2532] if [G1437] you should return [G1994] to [G4314] me [G1473], and [G2532] should guard [G5442] the [G3588] my commandments [G1785][G1473], and [G2532] observe [G4160] them [G1473]; and [G2532] if [G1437] might be the [G3588] your dispersion [G1290][G1473] unto [G2193] tip of the [G3588] raised-place-above (sky) '[G3772], from there [G1564] I will gather [G4863] them [G1473], and [G2532] I will bring [G1521] them [G1473] into [G1519] the [G3588] place which [G5117][G1473] I chose [G1586] to encamp [G2681] the [G3588] name [G3686] of me [G1473] there [G1563].
10: And [G2532] they [are [G1473] your children [G3816][G1473] and [G2532] your people [G2992][G1473], whom [G3739] you ransomed [G3084] by [G1722] the [G3588] power [G1411] your [G1473] the [G3588] great [G3173], and [G2532] by [G1722] the [G3588] hand [G5495] your [G1473] for the [G3588]tified [G2900].
11: Indeed [G1211], O Boss '[G2962], let be the [G3588] your ear [G3775][G1473] heeding [G4337] to [G1519] the [G3588] prayer [G4335] of the [G3588] your servant [G1401][G1473], and [G2532] to [G1519] the [G3588] prayer [G4335] of your children [G3816][G1473]! of the [G3588] [ones] wanting [G2309] to fear [G5399] the [G3588] name [G3686] of you [G1473]. And [G2532] prosper the way [G2137] indeed [G1211] of the [G3588] servant [G3816] of you [G1473] today [G4594], and [G2532] give [G1325] him [G1473] for [G1519] compassions [G3628] before [G1799] the [G3588] this man [G3778]! And [G2532] I [G1473] was a wine server to the [G3588] king .
