Matthew Chapter 17 - | Early Church Bible

1: And [G2532] after [G3326] days [G2250] six [G1803] Jesus [G2424] ("I AM Salvation, successor to Moses" [H3091]) takes with himself [G3880] the [G3588]the [G3588] Peter, and [G2532] James, and [G2532] John the [G3588] brother of him [G1473], and [G2532] he bears them [G1473] unto [G1519] raised-place (mountain) '[G3735] a high [G5308] in private [G2596][G2398].
2: And [G2532] he transformed [G3339] in front of [G1715] them [G1473], and [G2532] radiated [G2989] the [G3588] his face [G4383][G1473] as [G5613] the [G3588] sun [G2246]. And the [G3588][G1161] garments [G2440] of of him '[G1473] became [G1096] white [G3022] as [G5613] the [G3588] light [G5457].
3: And [G2532] look [G2400], there appeared [G3708] to them [G1473] Moses and [G2532] Elijah with [G3326] him [G1473], conversing together [G4814].
4: And responding [G1161] the [G3588] Peter said [G2036] [to the [G3588] Jesus [G2424] ("I AM Salvation, successor to Moses" [H3091]), O Boss '[G2962], it is good [G2570] for us [G1473] to be here [G5602]; if [G1487] you want [G2309], we will make [G4160] here [G5602] three [G5140] tents [G4633]; to you [G1473] one [G1520], and [G2532] to Moses one [G1520], and [G2532] one [G1520] to Elijah.
5: Yet [G2089] of of him '[G1473] speaking [G2980], look [G2400], a cloud [G3507] giving light [G5460] overshadowed [G1982] them [G1473], and [G2532] look [G2400], [there was] a voice [G5456] from out of [G1537] the [G3588] cloud [G3507] saying [G3004], This [G3778] is the [G3588] my son [G5207][G1473] the [G3588] beloved , in [G1722] whom [G3739] I take pleasure in [G2106]; hearken to him [G1473]!
6: And [G2532] hearing the [G3588] trainees '[G3101] fell [G4098] upon [G1909] their face [G4383][G1473], and [G2532] they were fearful [G5399] exceedingly [G4970].
7: And [G2532] coming forward [G4334], the [G3588] Jesus [G2424] ("I AM Salvation, successor to Moses" [H3091]) touched them [G1473], and [G2532] said [G2036], Arise [G1453], and [G2532] be not [G3361] fearful [G5399]!
8: And having lifted up [G1869][G1161] the [G3588]ir eyes [G3788][G1473], no one [G3762] they looked [at] [G1492] except [G1508] the [G3588] Jesus [G2424] ("I AM Salvation, successor to Moses" [H3091]) only [G3441].
9: And [G2532] in their going down [G2597][G1473] from the [G3588] raised-place (mountain) '[G3735], gave charge [G1781] to them [G1473] the [G3588] Jesus [G2424] ("I AM Salvation, successor to Moses" [H3091]), saying [G3004], Not to one [G3367] should you tell [G2036] the [G3588] vision [G3705], until [G2193] of which [time] [G3739] the [G3588] son [G5207] of the [G3588] man from [G1537] dead [G3498] should rise up .
10: And [G2532] asked [G1905] him [G1473] the [G3588] his disciples [G3101][G1473], saying [G3004], Why [G5100] then [G3767] [do] the [G3588] scholars (scribes) '[G1122] (soferim [H5613]) say [G3004] that [G3754] Elijah must [G1163] come [G2064] first [G4412]?
11: the [G3588] And [G1161] Jesus [G2424] ("I AM Salvation, successor to Moses" [H3091]) answering said [G2036] to them [G1473], Elijah indeed [G3303] comes [G2064] first [G4412], and [G2532] will restore all [things] [G3956].
12: And I say [G3004][G1161] to you [G1473] that [G3754] Elijah already [G2235] came [G2064], and [G2532] they did not recognize [G3756][G1921] him [G1473], but they did [G4160] to [G1722] him [G1473] as much as [G3745] they wanted [G2309]. So [G3779] also [G2532] the [G3588] son [G5207] of the [G3588] man [is] about [G3195] to suffer [G3958] by [G5259] them [G1473].
13: Then [G5119] perceived [G4920] the [G3588] trainees '[G3101] that [G3754] concerning [G4012] John the [G3588] Baptist he spoke [G2036] to them [G1473].
14: And [G2532] of their coming [G2064][G1473] to [G4314] the [G3588] crowd [G3793], there came forward [G4334] to him [G1473] a man kneeling [G1120] to him [G1473], and [G2532] saying [G3004],
15: O Boss '[G2962], show compassion on [G1653] my [G1473] the [G3588] son [G5207], for [G3754] he acts lunatic [G4583], and [G2532] badly [G2560] he suffers [G3958]. For often [G4178][G1063] he falls [G4098] into [G1519] the [G3588] fire [G4442], and [G2532] often [G4178] into [G1519] the [G3588] water [G5204].
16: And [G2532] I brought [G4374] him [G1473] [to the [G3588] your trainees '[G3101][G1473], and [G2532] they were not [G3756] able [G1410] to cure him [G1473][G2323].
17: And responding [G1161] the [G3588] Jesus [G2424] ("I AM Salvation, successor to Moses" [H3091]) said [G2036], O [G5599] generation [G1074] unbelieving and [G2532] perverted [G1294], until [G2193] when [G4219] will I be with [G3326] you [G1473]? Until [G2193] when [G4219] will I endure you [G1473]? Bring [G5342] him to me [G1473][G1473] here [G5602]!
18: And [G2532] reproached [G2008] him [G1473] the [G3588] Jesus [G2424] ("I AM Salvation, successor to Moses" [H3091]), and [G2532] came forth [G1831] from him [G1473] the [G3588] demon [G1140]. And [G2532] was cured [G2323] the [G3588] child [G3816] from the [G3588] that hour [G5610][G1565].
19: Then [G5119] having come forward [G4334] the [G3588] trainees '[G3101] [to the [G3588] Jesus [G2424] ("I AM Salvation, successor to Moses" [H3091]) in [G2596] private [G2398], said [G2036], Why [G1302] [were] we [G1473] not [G3756] able [G1410] to cast it out [G1544][G1473]?
20: the [G3588] And [G1161] Jesus [G2424] ("I AM Salvation, successor to Moses" [H3091]) said [G2036] to them [G1473], Because of [G1223] the [G3588] your unbelief [G1473]. For amen [G1063] I say [G3004] to you [G1473], if [G1437] you have [G2192] trust '[G4102] as [G5613] a kernel [G2848] of mustard [G4615], you will say [G2046] [to the [G3588] this raised-place (mountain) '[G3735][G3778], Be crossed over [G3327] from here [G1782] [to] there [G1563], even [G2532] it will cross over [G3327]; and [G2532] nothing [G3762] will be impossible to you [G1473].
21: But this [G3778][G1161] the [G3588] kind [G1085] does not [G3756] go forth [G1607] except [G1508] by [G1722] prayer [G4335] and [G2532] fasting [G3521].
22: returning And [G1161] of their [G1473] to [G1722] the [G3588] Galilee, said [G2036] to them [G1473] the [G3588] Jesus [G2424] ("I AM Salvation, successor to Moses" [H3091]), is about [G3195] the [G3588] son [G5207] of the [G3588] man to be delivered up [G3860] into [G1519] hands [G5495] of men ;
23: and [G2532] they will kill him [G1473], and [G2532] the [G3588] third [G5154] day [G2250] he will be raised up [G1453]. And [G2532] they fretted [G3076] exceedingly [G4970].
24: having come [G2064] And [G1161] of their [G1473] into [G1519] Capernaum, came forward [G4334] the [G3588] [ones] the [G3588] double-drachmas [G1323] receiving [G2983] [to the [G3588] Peter, and [G2532] said [G2036], the [G3588] Your Teacher [G1320] ["Rabbi [G4461]" John 1:38][G1473], does he not [G3756] fulfill [G5055] the [G3588] double-drachmas [G1323]?
25: He says [G3004], Yes [G3483]. And [G2532] when [G3753] he entered [G1525] into [G1519] the [G3588] house [G3614], anticipated [G4399] him [G1473] the [G3588] Jesus [G2424] ("I AM Salvation, successor to Moses" [H3091]), saying [G3004], What [G5100] do you [G1473] assume [G1380], Simon? the [G3588] kings of the [G3588] land '[G1093] -- from whom [G5100] do they receive [G2983] taxes [G5056] or [G2228] tribute [G2778], from the [G3588]ir sons [G5207][G1473] or [G2228] from the [G3588] strangers ?
26: says [G3004] to him [G1473] the [G3588] Peter], From the [G3588] strangers . said [G5346] to him [G1473] the [G3588] Jesus [G2424] ("I AM Salvation, successor to Moses" [H3091]), It is so , indeed [G1065] free [G1658] are the [G3588] sons [G5207].
27: But that [G2443][G1161] we should not [G3361] stumble [G4624] them [G1473], having gone [G4198] to [G1519] the [G3588] sea [G2281], throw a hook ! and [G2532] the [G3588] going up first [G4413] fish [G2486] take ! And [G2532] having opened the [G3588] its mouth [G4750][G1473], you will find [G2147] a stater [G4715]; that [G1565] having taken [G2983], give [G1325] it to them [G1473] for me [G1473] and [G2532] you [G1473]!
