» Job » Chapter 5
1
But call [G1941][G1161], if any one [G1536] will hearken to you [G1473][G5219]; or [G2228] if any [G1536] word-conveyers (messengers) ' pure ' you will see [G3708].
2
For even [G2532][G1063] a fool does away with anger [G3709], one having wandered [G4105] and [G1161] puts to death [G2289] zeal [G2205].
3
And I [G1473][G1161] have seen [G3708] fools root [G4491] laying ; and [G2532] I cursed [G2672] the [G3588]ir attractiveness [G2143][G1473] immediately [G3916].
4
at a distance [G4206] May be [G1096] the [G3588]ir sons [G5207][G1473] from safety [G4991], and [G2532] they will be crushed at [G1909] doors [G2374] of lesser [men [G2276], and [G2532] there will not be [G3756] the [G3588] [one] rescuing [G1807].
5
which [G3739] For [G1063] those [things] [G1565] they harvested [G2325], one hungering [G3983] will eat [G2068]; but they [G1473][G1161] to [G4314] ones armed will be carried ; may be siphoned off their [G1473] the [G3588] strength [G2479].
6
not [G3756] For [G1063] can [G3361] come forth [G1831] out of [G1537] the [G3588] land '[G1093] toil [G2873], nor [G3761] from [G1537] raised-places (mountains) '[G3735] sprout up [will] misery [G4192].
7
But a man is born [G1080] to toil [G2873], and young [G3502][G1161] eagles the [G3588] high [places [G5308] to fly [G4072];
8
nevertheless [G3756][G3375][G1161] but I [G1473] will beseech [G1189] of Boss '[G2962], Boss '[G2962] and [G1161] the [G3588] boss of all [G3956][G1203] I will call upon [G1941],
9
the the [G3588] [one] doing [G4160] great [things] [G3173], and [G2532] untraceable , honorable [things] [G1741] also [G5037], and [G2532] extraordinary , which [G3739] there is no [G3756] number ;
10
the [one] [G3588] giving [G1325] rain [G5205] upon [G1909] the [G3588] land '[G1093], sending water [G5204] upon [G1909] the [places [G3588] under [G5259] raised-place-above (sky) '[G3772];
11
the [one] [G3588] appointing [G4160] humble [G5011] unto [G1519] height [G5311], and [G2532] ones perishing raising up [G1825],
12
effacing counsels [G1012] of clever ones [G3835], that [G2532] in no way should perform [G4160] the [G3588]ir hands [G5495][G1473] true ;
13
the [one] [G3588] overtaking [G2638] wise [G4680] with [G1722] the [G3588] intellect [G5428]; and counsel [G1012][G1161] of crafty ones he amazes [G1839].
14
By day [G2250] will meet [G4876] them [G1473] darkness [G4655], the [G3588] and [G1161] at midday may they grope [G5584] equally [G2470] as at night [G3571].
15
And may they perish [G1161] in [G1722] war [G4171]; and may powerless [G1161] come forth [G1831] from out of [G1537] hand [G5495] of mighty one [G1413].
16
And may there be [G1161] to a one begging [G4434] hope [G1680]; of an unjust [man but [G1161] mouth [G4750] may] be obstructed .
17
And blessed [G3107][G1161] [is the] man whom [G3739] reproved [G1651] the [G3588] Boss '[G2962], admonition and [G1161] of almighty [G3841] does not [G3361] refuse .
18
For he [G1473][G1063] one to ache causes [G4160], and [G2532] again [G3825] he restores ; he smites [G3817], and [G2532] the [G3588] his hands [G5495][G1473] heal [G2390].
19
Six times from out of [G1537] your distresses [G1473] he rescues [you [G1807], and in [G1722][G1161] the [G3588] seventh [time] [G1442] in no way will he touch you [G1473] for bad [G2556].
20
In [G1722] famine [G3042], he will rescue [G4506] you [G1473] from [G1537] death [G2288], in [G1722] war [G4171] and [G1161] from out of [G1537] hand [G5495] of iron [G4604] he will untie [G3089] you [G1473].
21
from whip [G3148] of tongue [G1100] He will hide you [G1473][G2928], and [G2532] in no way will you be fearful [G5399] from evils [G2556] coming [G2064].
22
unjust and [G2532] lawless you will ridicule [G2606], and from [G1161] beasts [G2342] wild in no way will you be fearful [G5399];
23
for beasts [G1063] of wild will make peace [G1514] with you [G1473].
24
Then [G1534] you will know [G1097] that [G3754] will be at peace [G1514] your [G1473] the [G3588] house [G3624]; and [G2532] he will visit [G1980] your beauty [G1473], and [G2532] in no way should it have sinned .
25
And you will know [G1097][G1161] that [G3754] [will be] many [G4183] the [G3588] your seed [G4690][G1473], and the [G3588][G1161] your progeny [G1549][G1473] will be as [G5618] the [G3588] abundant herbage of the [G3588] field .
26
And you will come [G2064][G1161] unto [G1722] grave [G5028] as [G5618] grain [G4621] in season , according to [G2596] time [G2540] of harvesting [G2325]; or [G2228] as [G5618] a heap of threshing-floor according to [G2596] hour [G5610] of its being collected [G4792].
27
look [G2400], these [things] [G3778] thus [G3779] we tracked out , these [things] [G3778] are what [G3739] we have heard ; but you [G1473][G1161], know [G1097] in yourself [G4572] if you acted in anything [G1536][G4238]!
