Job Chapter 21 - | Early Church Bible

1: And undertaking [G5274][G1161], Job says [G3004],
2: Hear , hear my [G1473] the [G3588] words [G3056]! that [G2443] there should be to me [G1473] from [G3844] you [G1473] this [G3778] the [G3588] comfort [G3874].
3: Lift me [G1473]! and I [G1473][G1161] will speak [G2980], then [G1534] you will not ridicule [G3756][G2606] me [G1473].
4: For what [G5100][G1063], is [G3361] from man my [G1473] the [G3588] rebuke [G1649]? or [G2228] why [G1302] will I not [G3756] be enraged [G2373]?
5: O ones looking at [G1519] me [G1473], wonder [G2296] [your] hand [G5495] [while] putting [G5087] upon [G1909] [your] jaw [G4600].
6: For even if [G1437][G5037][G1063] I should remember [G3403], I hurry [G4704], hold [G2192] and [G1161] the [things] of my [G1473] the [G3588] flesh [G4561] griefs [G3601].
7: Why [G1302] do impious live [G2198], and they grow old [G3822][G1161], and [G2532] in [G1722] riches [G4149]?
8: the [G3588]ir sowing [G4703][G1473] [is] according to [G2596] [their] soul's [desire [G5590]; the [G3588] and [G1161] their children [G5043][G1473] in [G1722] eyes [G3788].
9: the [G3588]ir houses [G3624][G1473] prosper , and fear [G5401][G1161] [is not to them] at all ; and the whip [G3148][G1161] of [G3844] Boss '[G2962] not [G3756] is upon [G1909] them [G1473].
10: the [G3588]ir ox [G1016][G1473] does not [G3756] bring forth prematurely , are preserved [G1295] and [G1161] their [G1473] ones [G1722] pregnant [G1064] to have [G2192], and [G2532] not [G3756] to trip .
11: And they remain [G3306][G1161] as [G5618] sheep [G4263] of the term (age) ', the [G3588] and [G1161] their children [G3813][G1473] play before [them ,
12: taking up psaltery and [G2532] harp [G2788], and [G2532] they are gladdened [G2165] at sound [G5456] of a psalm [G5568].
13: And they complete [G4931][G1161] with [G1722] good [things] the [G3588]ir existence [G1473], and in [G1722][G1161] rest of Hades they go to sleep [G2837].
14: And he says [G3004][G1161] [to the] Boss '[G2962], Separate from me [G1473]! your ways [G3598][G1473] to know [G1492] I do not [G3756] want [G1014].
15: What [G5100] [is] fit [G2425] that [G3754] we will serve [G1398] him [G1473]? and [G2532] what [G5100] benefit [G5622], that [G3754] we will meet with him [G1473]?
16: in [G1722] hands [G5495] For [G1063] were not [G3756] to him [G1473] the [G3588] good [things] ; but works [G2041][G1161] of impious he does not [G3756] inspect .
17: But in fact [G3756][G3375][G1161], even [G2532] of impious lamp [G3088] will be extinguished [G4570], and there will come upon [G1904][G1161] them [G1473] the [G3588] final event [G2692], and pangs [G5604][G1161] from them [G1473] they will have [G2192] from anger [G3709].
18: And they will be [G1161] as [G5618] straw before [G4253] wind , or [G2228] as [G5618] a cloud of dust [G2868] which [G3739] took up tempest [G2978].
19: May fail [G1587] [his] sons [G5207] possessions [G5224] of him [G1473]; and [God] will recompense to [G4314] him [G1473], and [G2532] he will know [it [G1097].
20: May look [at] [G1492] the [G3588] his eyes [G3788][G1473] the [G3588] his own [G1438] slaughter [G4967]; and by [G1161] Boss '[G2962] may he not be delivered [G3361][G1295].
21: For [G3754] the [G3588] will [G2307] of him [G1473] [is] in [G1722] his house [G3624][G1473] with [G3326] him [G1473], and [G2532] numbers of his months [G3376][G1473] were divided [G1244].
22: Is it [G4220] not [G3756] the [G3588] Boss '[G2962] [who] is the [G3588] [one] teaching [G1321] understanding [G4907] and [G2532] higher knowledge ? And [is it not] he who [G1473][G1161] wise [G4680] litigates [G1252].
23: This one [G3778] will die in [G1722] might [G2904] of his singleness [of purpose [G1473], but entirely [G3650][G1161] enjoying pleasure and [G2532] prospering ;
24: the [G3588] and [G1161] his insides [G1473] [are] full [G4134] of fat , marrow [G3452] and [G1161] of him '[G1473] is diffused [in him .
25: the [G3588] And [G1161] [another] one comes to an end [G5053] in [G5259] bitterness [G4088] of soul [G5590], not [G3756] eating [G2068] anything [G3762] good .
26: But in one accord [G3661][G1161] upon [G1909] land '[G1093] they sleep [G2837], and rottenness [G1161] covers them [G1473][G2572].
27: So as [G5620] I know [G1492] you [G1473], that [G3754] you daringly press upon [G1945] me [G1473];
28: that [G3754] you will say [G2046], Where [G4226] is house [G3624] of ruler ? and [G2532] where [G4226] is the [G3588] protection of the [G3588] tents [G4638] of the [G3588] impious ?
29: Ask [G2065] ones passing [G3899] [by the] way [G3598], and [G2532] the [G3588]ir signs [G4592][G1473] you will not separate from [G3756].
30: For [G3754] unto [G1519] day [G2250] of destruction lightens [G2893] the [G3588] wicked one [G4190]; for [G1519] day [G2250] of his anger [G3709][G1473] he will be taken away .
31: Who [G5100] will report unto [G1909] his face [G4383][G1473] the [G3588] his way [G3598][G1473]? And [G2532] [what] he [G1473] did [G4160], who [G5100] will recompense to him [G1473]?
32: And [G2532] he [G1473] unto [G1519] tombs [G5028] was carried away ; and [G2532] upon [G1909] heaps stayed awake .
33: was sweet to him [G1473] gravel of rushing stream [G5493], and [G2532] after [G3694] him [G1473] every [G3956] man will go forth , and [G2532] in front of [G1715] him [G1473] [there are] innumerable ones .
34: And how [G4459][G1161] do you comfort [G3870] me [G1473] in vain [G2756]? the [G3588] but [G1161] for me [G1473] to rest [G2664] from you [G1473] is nothing [G3762].
