John Chapter 16 - | Early Church Bible

1: These [things] [G3778] I have spoken [G2980] to you [G1473], that [G2443] you should not [G3361] be caused to stumble [G4624].
2: From out of the synagogue they will put [G4160] you [G1473]; and [there] comes [G2064] hour [G5610] that [G2443] every [one [G3956] the [G3588] killing you [G1473] think [G1380] service [G2999] he offers [G4374] the [G3588] to God '[G2316].
3: And [G2532] these [things] [G3778] they will do [G4160], for [G3754] they know not [G3756][G1097] the [G3588] father [G3962], nor [G3761] me [G1473].
4: But these [things] [G3778] I have spoken [G2980] to you [G1473], that [G2443] whenever [G3752] should come [G2064] the [G3588] hour [G5610], you should remember [G3421] them [G1473], that [G3754] I [G1473] spoke [G2036] to you [G1473]. But these [things] [G3778][G1161] to you [G1473] at [G1537] beginning not [G3756] I said [G2036], for [G3754] with [G3326] you [G1473] I was .
5: But now [G3568][G1161] I go away [G5217] to [G4314] the [G3588] [one] having sent [G3992] me [G1473], and [G2532] not one [G3762] of [G1537] you [G1473] asks [G2065] me [G1473], Where [G4226] [do] you go [G5217]?
6: But because [G3754] these [things] [G3778] I have spoken [G2980] to you [G1473], the [G3588] distress [G3077] has filled [G4137] your [G1473] the [G3588] heart [G2588].
7: But I [G1473] the [G3588] truth speak [G3004] to you [G1473]; it is advantageous [G4851] to you [G1473] that [G2443] I [G1473] go forth . For if [G1437][G1063] I [G1473] should not go forth [G3361], the [G3588] comforter [G3875] will not [G3756] come [G2064] to [G4314] you [G1473]; but if [G1437][G1161] I go [G4198], I will send [G3992] him [G1473] to [G4314] you [G1473].
8: And [G2532] having come [G2064], that one [G1565] will reprove [G1651] the [G3588] arrangement '[G2889] concerning [G4012] sin , and [G2532] concerning [G4012] righteousness [G1343], and [G2532] concerning [G4012] judgment [G2920].
9: Concerning [G4012] sin then [G3303], that [G3754] they believe not [G3756][G4100] in [G1519] me [G1473].
10: concerning [G4012] righteousness [G1343] And [G1161], that [G3754] to [G4314] the [G3588] father [G3962] of me [G1473] I go away [G5217], and [G2532] no longer [G3765] you view [G2334] me [G1473].
11: And concerning [G4012][G1161] judgment [G2920], for [G3754] the [G3588] ruler the [G3588] [one] of arrangement '[G2889] this [G3778] has been judged [G2919].
12: Still [G2089] many [things] [G4183] I have [G2192] to say [G3004] to you [G1473], but you are not [G3756] able [G1410] to bear [them just now .
13: But whenever [G3752][G1161] that one should come [G2064][G1565], the [G3588] wind/spirit/breathing '[G4151] of the [G3588] truth , he will guide [G3594] you [G1473] into [G1519] all [G3956] the [G3588] truth ; not [G3756] for [G1063] he will] speak [G2980] from himself [G1438]; but as much as [G3745] whatever he should hear , he will speak [G2980]; and [G2532] the [things] [G3588] coming [G2064] he will announce to you [G1473].
14: That one [G1565] me [G1473] will glorify [G1392]; for [G3754] of [G1537] the [G3588] mine [G1699] he will take [G2983], and [G2532] will announce to you [G1473].
15: All [G3956] as much as [G3745] has [G2192] the [G3588] father [G3962] is mine [G1699]. On account of [G1223] this [G3778] I said [G2036] that [G3754], Of [G1537] the [G3588] mine [G1699] he takes [G2983], and [G2532] will announce to you [G1473].
16: A little [while [G3397], and [G2532] you will not [G3756] view [G2334] me [G1473]; and [G2532] again [G3825] a little [while [G3397] and [G2532] you will see [G3708] me [G1473], for [G3754] I go away [G5217] to [G4314] the [G3588] father [G3962].
17: Said [G2036] then [G3767] [some] of [G1537] the [G3588] trainees '[G3101] of him [G1473] to [G4314] one another , What [G5100] is this [G3778] which [G3739] he says [G3004] to us [G1473], A little [while [G3397], and [G2532] you will not [G3756] see [G2334] me [G1473]; and [G2532] again [G3825] a little [while [G3397], and [G2532] you will see [G3708] me [G1473]; and [G2532], For [G3754] I [G1473] go away [G5217] to [G4314] the [G3588] father [G3962]?
18: They said [G3004] then [G3767], this [G3778] What [G5100] is which [G3739] he says [G3004], the [G3588], Little [while [G3397]? We do not know [G3756][G1492] what [G5100] he speaks [G2980].

20: Amen , amen , I say [G3004] to you [G1473] that [G3754], will weep [G2799] and [G2532] wail [G2354] You [G1473], but the [G3588][G1161] arrangement '[G2889] will rejoice [G5463]; and you [G1473][G1161] will be distressed [G3076], but your distress [G3077][G1473] for [G1519] joy [G5479] will become [G1096].
21: The [G3588] woman [G1135] whenever [G3752] she should give birth [G5088] distress [G3077] has [G2192], for [G3754] came [G2064] the [G3588] hour [G5610] her [G1473]; but whenever [G3752][G1161] she should bear [G1080] the [G3588] child [G3813], no longer [G3765] [does] she remember [G3421] the [G3588] affliction [G2347], on account of [G1223] the [G3588] joy [G5479], that [G3754] was born [G1080] a man into [G1519] the [G3588] arrangement '[G2889].
22: And [G2532] you [G1473] then [G3767] distress [G3077] indeed [G3303] now [G3568] have [G2192]; but again [G3825][G1161] I will see [G3708] you [G1473], and [G2532] will rejoice [G5463] your [G1473] the [G3588] heart [G2588], and [G2532] the [G3588] yjoy [G5479] of us [G1473] no one [G3762] will take from you [G1473].
23: And [G2532] in [G1722] that [G1565] the [G3588] day [G2250] me [G1473][G3756] you will ask [G2065] nothing [G3762]. Amen , amen , I say [G3004] to you [G1473] that [G3754], Whatever as much as [G3745] you should ask the [G3588] father [G3962] in [G1722] the [G3588] name [G3686] of me [G1473], he will give [G1325] to you [G1473].
24: Until [G2193] now you asked not [G3756] anything [G3762] in [G1722] the [G3588] name [G3686] of me [G1473]; ask and [G2532] you will receive [G2983], that [G2443] the [G3588] yjoy [G5479] of us [G1473] should be filled [G4137]!
25: These [things] [G3778] in [G1722] proverbs [G3942] I have spoken [G2980] to you [G1473]; comes [G2064] hour [G5610] when [G3753] no longer [G3765] in [G1722] proverbs [G3942] will I speak [G2980] to you [G1473], but in an open manner [G3954] concerning [G4012] the [G3588] father [G3962] I will announce to you [G1473].
26: In [G1722] that [G1565] the [G3588] day [G2250] in [G1722] the [G3588] name [G3686] of me [G1473] you will ask ; and [G2532] I say not [G3756][G3004] to you [G1473] that [G3754] I [G1473] will ask [G2065] the [G3588] father [G3962] concerning [G4012] you [G1473];
27: himself [G1473] for [G1063] the [G3588] father [G3962] is fond of [G5368] you [G1473], for [G3754] you [G1473] are fond of me [G1473][G5368], and [G2532] you have trusted '[G4100] that [G3754] I [G1473] from [G3844] the [G3588] God '[G2316] have come forth [G1831];
28: I came forth [G1831] from [G3844] the [G3588] father [G3962], and [G2532] I have come [G2064] into [G1519] the [G3588] arrangement '[G2889]; again [G3825] I leave the [G3588] arrangement '[G2889], and [G2532] I go [G4198] to [G4314] the [G3588] father [G3962].
29: say [G3004] to him [G1473] the [G3588] His disciples [G3101][G1473], Look [here]! [G2396], now [G3568] in an open manner [G3954] you speak [G2980], and [G2532] proverb [G3942] not one [G3762] do you say [G3004]!
30: Now [G3568] we know [G1492] that [G3754] you know [G1492] all [things] [G3956], and [G2532] no [G3756] need [G5532] you have [G2192] that [G2443] anyone [G5100] should ask you [G1473][G2065]. In [G1722] this [G3778] we trust '[G4100] that [G3754] from God '[G2316] you came forth [G1831].
31: responded to them [G1473] the [G3588] Jesus [G2424] ("I AM Salvation, successor to Moses" [H3091]), Now you trust '[G4100]?
32: look [G2400], there comes [G2064] an hour [G5610], and [G2532] now [G3568] has come [G2064], that [G2443] you will be dispersed [G4650] each [G1538] unto [G1519] the [G3588] his own [place] [G2398], and [G2532] me [G1473] alone [G3441] you will leave ; and [G2532] I am not [G3756] alone [G3441], for [G3754] the [G3588] father [G3962] with [G3326] me [G1473] is .
33: These [things] [G3778] I have spoken [G2980] to you [G1473], that [G2443] in [G1722] me [G1473] peace [G1515] you should have [G2192]. In [G1722] the [G3588] arrangement '[G2889] tribulation [G2347] you will have [G2192]; but be of courage [G2293]! I [G1473] have overcome [G3528] the [G3588] arrangement '[G2889].
