1: And [G2532] came to pass [G1096] word [G4487] of Boss '[G2962] to [G4314] me [G1473], saying [G3004],
2: Go [G4198], and [G2532] yell into [G1519] the [G3588] ears [G3775] of Jerusalem! saying [G3004], Thus [G3592] says [G3004] Boss '[G2962], I remembered [G3403] compassion [G1656] of your youth [G3503][G1473], and [G2532] love of your consecration [G5050][G1473], for the [G3588] you to follow after [G1811][G1473] the [G3588] holy one of Israel, says [G3004] Boss '[G2962];
3: Pure ' Israel to the [G3588] Boss '[G2962], beginning of his offspring [G1081][G1473]. All [G3956] the [G3588] [ones] devouring [G2068] him [G1473] will offend ; evils [G2556] will come [G2240] upon [G1909] them [G1473], says [G5346] Boss '[G2962].
4: Hear word [G3056] of Boss '[G2962], O house [G3624] of Jacob, and [G2532] every [G3956] family [G3965] of house [G3624] of Israel!
5: Thus [G3592] says [G3004] Boss '[G2962], What [G5100] find [G2147] the [G3588] fathers [G3962] did your [G1473] in [G1722] me [G1473] trespass that [G3754] they left far [G3112] from me [G1473], and [G2532] went [G4198] after [G3694] the [G3588] vain [things] [G3152], and [G2532] acted in folly [G3154]?
6: And [G2532] they said not [G3756][G2036], Where [G4226] is Boss '[G2962], the [G3588] [one] directing us [G1473] from out of [G1537] land '[G1093] of Egypt, the [G3588] [one] steering us [G1473] in [G1722] the [G3588] wilderness [G2048], in [G1722] land '[G1093] a vast and [G2532] untrodden , in [G1722] a land '[G1093] waterless and [G2532] unfruitful , in [G1722] a land '[G1093] in which [G3739] no [G3756] traveled through [G1353] in [G1722] it [G1473] man , and [G2532] no [G3756] dwelt [G2730] man there [G1563]?
7: And [G2532] I led you [G1521][G1473] unto [G1519] the [G3588] Carmel, the [G3588] to eat [G2068] the [G3588] fruits [G2590] of it [G1473], and [G2532] the [G3588] good [things] of it [G1473]. And [G2532] you entered [G1525], and [G2532] defiled [G3392] the [G3588] my land '[G1093][G1473]; and [G2532] the [G3588] my inheritance [G2817][G1473] you made [G5087] into [G1519] an abomination .
8: The [G3588] priests [G2409] said not [G3756][G2036], Where [G4226] is Boss '[G2962]? And [G2532] the [G3588] [ones] resisting the [G3588] law [G3551] have not [G3756] made acknowledgment [G1987] to me [G1473]; and [G2532] the [G3588] shepherds [G4166] [were] impious to [G1519] me [G1473]; and [G2532] the [G3588] prophets [G4396] prophesied [G4395] the [G3588] by Baal, and [G2532] after [G3694] unprofitable [things] they went [G4198].
9: On account of [G1223] this [G3778], still [G2089] I will arbitrate [G2919] for [G4314] you [G1473], says [G3004] Boss '[G2962]; and [G2532] for [G4314] the [G3588] sons [G5207] of the [G3588] your sons [G5207][G1473] I will arbitrate [G2919].
10: For [G2089] go [G1330] into [G1519] islands [G3520] of Chittim, and [G2532] see [G1492]! And [G2532] unto [G1519] Kedar send , and [G2532] comprehend [G3539] exceedingly [G4970]! And [G2532] see [G1492]! if [G1487] have taken place [G1096] such [things]
11: if [G1487] changed tradition-peoples (ethnics) '[G1484] their gods '[G2316][G1473], and [G2532] these [G3778] not [G3756] are gods '[G2316]! the [G3588] But [G1161] my people [G2992][G1473] changed the [G3588]ir glory [G1391][G1473] by [G1537] which [G3739] they do not [G3756] derive benefit [G5623].
12: is amazed [G1839] the [G3588] raised-place-above (sky) '[G3772] by [G1909] this [G3778], and [G2532] shuddered [G5425] over it [G1909] much [G4183], exceedingly [G4970], says [G3004] Boss '[G2962].
13: For [G3754] two [G1417] and [G2532] wicked [things] [G4190] did [G4160] the [G3588] my people [G2992][G1473] to me [G1473]; they abandoned [G1459] spring [G4077] of water [G5204] of life [G2222], and [G2532] they dug [G3736] for themselves [G1438] cisterns having been broken [G4937], the ones which [G3739] [are] not [G3756] able [G1410] water [G5204] to hold [G4912].
14: [G3361] a servant [G1401] Is Israel] or [G2228] native-born is he ? Why did [G1302] for [G1519] plunder he become [G1096]?
15: Upon [G1909] him [G1473] roar [G5612] lions [G3023], and [G2532] gave out [G1325] the [G3588]ir voice [G5456][G1473] the ones who [G3739] ordered [G5021] the [G3588] his land '[G1093][G1473] for [G1519] extinction . And [G2532] the [G3588] his cities [G4172][G1473] they razed [G2679] so as for [G3844] the [G3588] no one [G3361] to dwell [G2730].
16: And [G2532] sons [G5207] of Memphis and [G2532] Tahapanhes knew [G1097] you [G1473], and [G2532] were mocking you [G1473].
17: Were not [G3780] these [things] [G3778] done [G4160] to you [G1473] [for the [G3588] your forsaking [G2641][G1473] me [G1473], says [G3004] Boss '[G2962] the [G3588] God '[G2316] of you [G1473]?
18: And [G2532] now [G3568], what [is it [G5100] to you [G1473] and [G2532] the [G3588] way [G3598] of Egypt, the [G3588] to drink [G4095] water [G5204] of Sihor? And [G2532] what [is it [G5100] to you [G1473] in the [G3588] way [G3598] of Assyrians, the [G3588] to drink [G4095] water [G5204] of rivers [G4215]?
19: will correct [G3811] you [G1473] the [G3588] Your defection [G1473], and [G2532] the [G3588] your evil [G2549][G1473] will reprove [G1651] you [G1473]. And [G2532] know [G1097] and [G2532] see [G1492] that [G3754] [is] bitter [G4089] to you [G1473] the [G3588] your forsaking [G2641][G1473] me [G1473]! says [G3004] Boss '[G2962] the [G3588] God '[G2316] of you [G1473]. And [G2532] I thought not well [G3756][G2106] in [G1722] you [G1473], says [G3004] Boss '[G2962] the [G3588] God '[G2316] of you [G1473].
20: For [G3754] from age (term) ` you broke [G4937] the [G3588] your yoke [G2218][G1473], and [G2532] tore up [G1284] the [G3588] your bonds [G1199][G1473]. And [G2532] you said [G2036], I will not [G3756] serve [G1398], but I will go [G4198] upon [G1909] every [G3956] hill [G1015] high [G5308], and [G2532] underneath [G5270] every [G3956] tree [G3586] shady ; there [G1563] I will disperse in [G1722] the [G3588] my harlotry [G4202][G1473].
21: But I [G1473][G1161] planted [G5452] you [G1473] a grapevine bearing fruit [G2593] -- all [G3956] true . How [G4459] are you turned [G4762] into [G1519] bitterness [G4088] the [G3588] grapevine the [G3588] a strange ?
22: If [G1437] you should wash in [G1722] bleach , and [G2532] should multiply [G4129] to yourself [G4572] soap , [still] you are spotted in [G1722] the [G3588] your iniquities [G1473] before [G1726] me [G1473], says [G3004] Boss '[G2962].
23: How [G4459] will you say [G2046], I was not defiled [G3756][G3392], and [G2532] after [G3694] the [G3588] Baal I went not [G3756][G4198]? look [at] [G1492] the [G3588] your ways [G3598][G1473] in [G1722] the [G3588] cemetery , and [G2532] know [G1097] what [G5100] you did [G4160]! in the evening [G3796] Her voice [G5456][G1473] shrieks [G3649].
24: the [G3588] Her ways [G3598][G1473] widen [G4115] over [G1909] waters [G5204] of wilderness [G2048]; in [G1722] desires [G1939] of her soul [G5590][G1473] she was being carried by the wind ; she was delivered up to them [G3860], who [G5100] will turn [G1994] her [G1473]? All [G3956] the [G3588] [ones] seeking [G2212] her [G1473] will not [G3756] tire [G2872]; in [G1722] the [G3588] her humiliation [G5014][G1473] they will find [G2147] her [G1473].
25: Turn the [G3588] your foot [G4228][G1473] from way [G3598] rough [G5138], and [G2532] the [G3588] your throat [G1473] from thirst [G1373]! the [G3588] But [G1161] she said [G2036], I will be manly . For [G3754] I loved strangers , and [G2532] after [G3694] them [G1473] went [G4198].
26: As [G5613] shame of a thief [G2812] whenever [G3752] he should be captured , so [G3779] will be ashamed the [G3588] sons [G5207] of Israel]; they [G1473], and [G2532] the [G3588]ir kings [G1473], and [G2532] the [G3588]ir rulers [G1473], and [G2532] the [G3588]ir priests [G2409][G1473], and [G2532] the [G3588]ir prophets [G4396][G1473].
27: to the [G3588] tree [G3586] They said [G2036] that [G3754], father [G3962] my [G1473] are You [G1473]; and [G2532] to the [G3588] stone [G3037], You [G1473] engendered [G1080] me [G1473]. And [G2532] they turned [G4762] against [G1909] me [G1473] [their] backs [G3577], and [G2532] not [G3756] their faces [G4383][G1473]. And [G2532] in [G1722] the [G3588] time [G2540] of the [G3588]ir evils [G2556][G1473] they will say [G2046], Rise up and [G2532] deliver [G4982] us [G1473]!
28: And [G2532] where [G4226] are the [G3588] your gods '[G2316][G1473] which [G3739] you made [G4160] for yourself [G4572]? will [G1487] they rise up and [G2532] deliver [G4982] you [G1473] in [G1722] time [G2540] of the [G3588] your ill-treatment, [no [G2561][G1473]. For [G3754] according to [G2596] number of the [G3588] your cities [G4172][G1473] were your gods '[G2316][G1473], O Judah; and [G2532] according to [G2596] number of corridors of the [G3588] Jerusalem, they sacrificed [G2380] [to the [G3588] Baal.
29: Why [G2444] do you speak [G2980] to [G4314] me [G1473]? You all [G3956][G1473] acted impious , and [G2532] you all [G3956][G1473] acted lawlessly against [G1519] me [G1473], says [G3004] Boss '[G2962].
30: In vain [G3155] I struck [G3960] the [G3588] children [G5043] of you [G1473]. correction [G3809] They received not [G3756][G1209]. A sword [G3162] devoured [G2719] the [G3588] your prophets [G4396][G1473], as [G5613] a lion [G3023][G3739] annihilating [G3645]. And [G2532] you feared not [G3756][G5399].
31: Hear word [G3056] of Boss '[G2962]! Thus [G3592] says [G3004] Boss '[G2962], Did [G3361] a wilderness [G2048] I become [G1096] the [G3588] to Israel, or [G2228] a land '[G1093] being made barren ? Why [G1302] said [G2036] the [G3588] people [G2992] of me [G1473], We will not [G3756] be lorded over [G2961], and [G2532] we will not [G3756] come [G2240] to [G4314] you [G1473] any longer [G2089]?
32: Will [G3361] forget [G1950] bride [G3565] the [G3588] her [bridal] arrangement '[G2889][G1473], and [G2532] virgin [G3933] the [G3588] her breastband [G1473]? the [G3588] But [G1161] my people [G2992][G1473] forgot [G1950] me [G1473] [for] days [G2250] which [G3739] there is no [G3756] number .
33: What [G5100] yet [G2089] good [device [G2570] will you] apply in [G1722] the [G3588] your ways [G3598][G1473] the [G3588] to seek [G2212] affection ? [It will] not [G3756] [be] thus [G3779]. But even [G2532] you [G1473] did wicked the [G3588] to defile [G3392] the [G3588] your ways [G3598][G1473].
34: And [G2532] in [G1722] the [G3588] your hands [G5495][G1473] was found [G2147] blood souls [G5590] of innocent . not [G3756] in [G1722] ditches I found [G2147] them [G1473], but upon [G1909] every [G3956] oak .
35: And [G2532] you said [G2036], I am innocent , but turn the [G3588] his rage [G2372][G1473] from me [G1473]! look [G2400], I [G1473] judge [G2919] against [G4314] you [G1473], in [G1722] the [G3588] your saying [G3004][G1473], I sinned not [G3756].
36: For [G3754] you are disdained [G2706] very much [G4970] of the [G3588] repeating a second time of the [G3588] your ways [G3598][G1473]. And [G2532] from Egypt you will be disgraced [G2617], as [G2531] you were disgraced [G2617] by Assyria.
37: For [G3754] even [G2532] from here [G1782] you will go forth [G1831], and [G2532] the [G3588] your hands [G5495][G1473] [will be] upon [G1909] the [G3588] your head [G2776][G1473]. For [G3754] BOSS thrusted away [G2962] the [G3588] yhope [G1680] of us [G1473], and [G2532] you will not [G3756] be prosperous [G2137] in [G1722] it [G1473].
