Isaiah Chapter 36 - | Early Church Bible

1: And [G2532] it came to pass [G1096] the [G3588] fourteenth [G5065] year [G2094] of reigning of Hezekiah, went up Sennacherib king of Assyrians] upon [G1909] the [G3588] cities [G4172] of the [G3588] Judea for the [G3588]tified , and [G2532] took [G2983] them [G1473].
2: And [G2532] sent king of Assyrians the [G3588] Rabshakeh from [G1537] Lachish unto [G1519] Jerusalem to [G4314] the [G3588] king Hezekiah with [G3326] force [G1411] a great [G4183]. And [G2532] he stood [G2476] by [G1722] the [G3588] aqueduct of the [G3588] pool [G2861] the [G3588] upper in [G1722] the [G3588] way [G3598] of the [G3588] field of the [G3588] fuller [G1102].
3: And [G2532] there came forth [G1831] to [G4314] him [G1473], Eliakim, the [G3588] [son of the [G3588] Hilkiah the [G3588] manager [G3623], and [G2532] Shebna the [G3588] scholar (scribe) '[G1122] (sofer [H5613]), and [G2532] Joah, the [G3588] [son of the [G3588] Asaph, the [G3588] recorder .
4: And [G2532] said [G2036] to them [G1473] Rabshakeh], Speak [G2036][G1161][G4314] to Hezekiah! Thus [G3592] says [G3004] the [G3588] king the [G3588] great [G3173], king of Assyrians. What [G5100] are you relying on [G3982]?
5: Does [G3361] by [G1722] a plan [G1012] with the [G3588] words [G3056] of lips [G5491] battle take place [G1096]? And [G2532] now [G3568], upon [G1909] whom [G5100] are you relying [G3982] that [G3754] you resist my persuasion [G1473]?
6: look [G2400], you are relying [G3982] upon [G1909] the [G3588] rod [G4464] of the [G3588] reed the [G3588] this fractured [G3778] -- upon [G1909] Egypt; which [G3739] if should stay [his weight [G1991] a man upon [G1909] it [G1473], it will enter [G1525] into [G1519] the [G3588] his hand [G5495][G1473], and [G2532] will puncture it [G1473]. Thus [G3779] is Pharaoh king of Egypt, and [G2532] all [G3956] the [G3588] [ones] relying [G3982] upon [G1909] him [G1473].
7: And if [G1487][G1161] you should say [G3004], Upon [G1909] Boss '[G2962] the [G3588] our God '[G2316][G1473] we rely on [G3982]. not [G3756] Is he [G1473] whom [G3739] Hezekiah removed the [G3588] his high [places [G5308][G1473], and [G2532] the [G3588] his altars [G2379][G1473], and [G2532] told [G2036] the [G3588] Judah and [G2532] the [G3588] Jerusalem, In front [G2596][G4383] of the [G3588] this altar [G2379][G3778] do obesiance [G4352] now [G3568]!
8: But mix [in with [G3396][G1161] the [G3588] my boss [G2962][G1473] the [G3588] king of Assyrians, and [G2532] I will give [G1325] to you [G1473] two thousand [G1367] horses [G2462], if [G1487] you are able [G1410] to put [G1325] riders upon [G1909] them [G1473].
9: And [G2532] how [G4459] are you all able [G1410] to turn to [G1519] face [G4383] of the [G3588] toparchs ? [our] servants [G3610] are the [G3588] [ones] relying [G3982] upon [G1909] Egyptians for [G1519] a horse [G2462] and [G2532] rider .
10: And [G2532] now [G3568], [have [G3361] without Boss '[G2962] we went up upon [G1909] the [G3588] this place [G5561][G3778] to wage war [G4170] with it [G1473]? Boss '[G2962] said [G2036] to [G4314] me [G1473], go up upon [G1909] the [G3588] this land '[G1093][G3778], and [G2532] utterly destroy [G1311] it [G1473]!
11: And [G2532] said [G2036] to [G4314] him [G1473] Eliakim and [G2532] Shebna and [G2532] Joah], to [G4314] Rabshakeh, Speak [G2980] indeed [G1211] to [G4314] the [G3588] your servants [G3816][G1473] in Syriac! for we hear [G1063] ourselves [G1473]; and [G2532] do not [G3361] speak [G2980] to [G4314] us [G1473] in Jewish ! For [G2532] why [G2444] do you speak [G2980] unto [G1519] the [G3588] ears [G3775] of the [G3588] men the [G3588] standing [G2476] upon [G1909] the [G3588] wall [G5038]?
12: And [G2532] said [G2036] to [G4314] them [G1473] Rabshakeh], Is it [G3361] to [G4314] the [G3588] your boss [G2962][G1473], or [G2228] to [G4314] you [G1473] sent me [G1473] the [G3588] my boss [G2962][G1473] to speak [G2980] the [G3588] words [G3056] these [G3778]? Is it not [G3780] to [G4314] the [G3588] men , the [G3588] [ones] sitting [G2521] upon [G1909] the [G3588] wall [G5038], that [G2443] they should eat [G2068] the [G3588]ir dung [G1473] and [G2532] drink [G4095] the [G3588]ir urine [G1473] with [G3326] you [G1473] together ?
13: And [G2532] Rabshakeh stood [G2476] and [G2532] yelled out voice [G5456] [with] a great [G3173] in Jewish , and [G2532] said [G2036], Hearken to indeed [G1211] the [G3588] words [G3056] of the [G3588] king the [G3588] great [G3173], king of Assyrians!
14: Thus [G3592] says [G3004] the [G3588] king , Do not let [G3361] deceive you [G1473] Hezekiah] with words [G3056]! in no way will he be able [G1410] to rescue [G4506] you [G1473].
15: And [G2532] do not let [G3361] say [G3004] to you [G1473] Hezekiah] that [G3754], will rescue [G4506] you [G1473] the [G3588] God '[G2316], and [G2532] in no way will be delivered [G3860] the [G3588] this city [G4172][G3778] into [G1722] hand [G5495] of king of Assyrians.
16: Do not [G3361] hearken to Hezekiah! Thus [G3592] says [G3004] the [G3588] king of Assyrians, If [G1487] you want [G1014] to be blessed [G2127], come forth [G1607] to [G4314] me [G1473]! and [G2532] you will eat [G2068] each [G1538] the [G3588] of his own grapevine [G1473] and [G2532] the [G3588] fig-trees [G4808], and [G2532] will drink [G4095] water [G5204] from out of [G1537] the [G3588] his own well [G1473];
17: until [G2193] whenever I should come [G2064] and [G2532] should take [G2983] you [G1473] into [G1519] a land '[G1093] as [G5613] the [G3588] your land '[G1093][G1473]; a land '[G1093] of grain [G4621], and [G2532] wine [G3631], and [G2532] bread [loaves , and [G2532] vineyards .
18: Let not [G3361] deceive you [G1473] Hezekiah]! saying [G3004], the [G3588] God '[G2316] will rescue [G4506] us [G1473]. [Have [G3361] rescued [G4506] the [G3588] gods '[G2316] of the [G3588] tradition-peoples (ethnics) '[G1484] each [G1538] the [G3588] his own [G1438] place [G5561] from out of [G1537] hand [G5495] of king of Assyrians?
19: Where [G4226] is the [G3588] god [G2316] of Hamath and [G2532] Arpad? And [G2532] where [G4226] [is] the [G3588] god [G2316] of the [G3588] city [G4172] of Sepharvaim? [Have [G3361] they been able [G1410] to rescue [G4506] the [G3588] Samaria from out of [G1537] my hand [G5495][G1473]?
20: Which [G5100] of the [G3588] gods '[G2316] of all [G3956] the [G3588]se tradition-peoples (ethnics) '[G1484][G3778] [is] the one who [G3748] was rescued [G4506] of the [G3588] his land '[G1093][G1473] from out of [G1537] my hand [G5495][G1473], that [G3754] will rescue [G4506] Boss '[G2962] Jerusalem from out of [G1537] my hand [G5495][G1473]?
21: And [G2532] they kept silent [G4623], and [G2532] no one [G3762] answered him [G1473] a word [G3056] by [G1223] the [G3588] assignment [G4367] of the [G3588] king , [saying], No one [G3367] is to answer .
22: And [G2532] entered [G1525] Eliakim the [G3588] [son of the [G3588] Helkiah the [G3588] manager [G3623], and [G2532] Shebna the [G3588] scholar (scribe) '[G1122] (sofer [H5613]), and [G2532] Joah, the [G3588] [son of the [G3588] Asaph the [G3588] recorder , to [G4314] Hezekiah, having split [their the [G3588] inner garments [G5509]. And [G2532] they announced to him [G1473] the [G3588] words [G3056] of Rabshakeh.
