1: is And [G1161] trust '[G4102] of hoping [G1679] reality [G5287] of things [G4229], proof [G1650] not [G3756] being seen .
2: in [G1722] this [G3778] For [G1063] were borne witness to [G3140] the [G3588] elders [G4245].
3: By trust '[G4102] we comprehend [G3539] to be fashioned [G2675] the [G3588] ages (terms) ` by word [G4487] of God '[G2316], so that [G1519] the [G3588] not of [G3361][G1537] [things] appearing [G5316] the [things] [G3588] seen take place [G1096].
4: By trust '[G4102] a greater [G4183] sacrifice [G2378] Abel than [G3844] Cain offered [G4374] the [G3588] to God '[G2316], by [G1223] which [G3739] he bore witness [G3140] to be just [G1342], testifying [G3140] over [G1909] the [G3588] his gifts [G1435][G1473] the [G3588] by God '[G2316]; and [G2532] through [G1223] it [G1473] having died still [G2089] speaks [G2980].

10: for he looked out for [G1551][G1063] the [G3588] [G3588] foundations [G2310] having [G2192] city [G4172], of which [G3739] craftsman [G5079] and [G2532] engineer [G1217] the [G3588] [is] God '[G2316].
11: By trust '[G4102] also [G2532] Sarah herself [G1473] power [G1411] for [G1519] founding [G2602] seed [G4690] received [G2983], and [G2532] past [G3844] time [G2540] of vigor [G2244] gave birth [G5088], since [G1893] believing [G4103] she esteemed [G2233] the [G3588] [one] promising [G1861].

13: According to [G2596] trust '[G4102] died these [G3778] all [G3956], not [G3361] receiving [G2983] the [G3588] promises [G1860], but at a distance [G4207] looking [at] them [G1473][G1492], and [G2532] being persuaded [G3982], and [G2532] greeting , and [G2532] acknowledging [G3670] that [G3754] strangers [G3581] and [G2532] immigrants [G3927] they are upon [G1909] the [G3588] land '[G1093].
14: For the [G3588] [ones] [G1063] such [things] [G5108] saying [G3004] reveal [G1718] that [G3754] fatherland [G3968] they anxiously seek [G1934].
15: And [G2532] if [G1487] indeed [G3303], those [G1565] remembering [G3421] from where [G3739] they came forth [G1831], they had [G2192] even time [G2540] to return .
16: But now [G3568][G1161] a better [thing] [G2908] they reach for [G3713], that is to say [G5123], up-in-the-raised-place-above (up-in-the-sky) '[G2032]. Therefore [G1352] is not [G3756] ashamed of [G1870] them [G1473] the [G3588] God '[G2316], God '[G2316] to be called [G1941] their [G1473]; for he prepared [G2090][G1063] for them [G1473] a city [G4172].
17: By trust '[G4102] Abraham offered [G4374] the [G3588] Isaac, being tested [G3985], and [G2532] the [G3588] only child [G3439] offered up [G4374] the [G3588] [G3588] promises [G1860] the one receiving ,
18: towards [G4314] whom [G3739] it was said [G2980] that [G3754], In [G1722] Isaac will be called [G2564] to you [G1473] a seed [G4690];

20: By trust '[G4102] concerning [G4012] things about to be [G3195] Isaac blessed [G2127] the [G3588] Jacob and [G2532] the [G3588] Esau.
21: By trust '[G4102] Jacob dying each [G1538] of the [G3588] sons [G5207] of Joseph blessed [G2127], and [G2532] did obeisance [G4352] upon [G1909] the [G3588] tip of the [G3588] his cane [G4464][G1473].
22: By trust '[G4102] Joseph, coming to an end [G5053], concerning [G4012] the [G3588] exodus [G1841] of the [G3588] sons [G5207] of Israel made mention [G3421]; and [G2532] concerning [G4012] the [G3588] his bones [G3747][G1473] gave charge [G1781].
23: By trust '[G4102] Moses, having been born [G1080], was hid [G2928] three months [G5150] by [G5259] the [G3588] his fathers [G3962][G1473], because [G1360] they saw [G1492] as fair the [G3588] child [G3813]; and [G2532] they did not [G3756] fear [G5399] the [G3588] edict [G1297] of the [G3588] king .
24: By trust '[G4102] Moses, great [G3173] having become [G1096], denied to be called [G3004] son [G5207] of Pharaoh's daughter [G2364],
25: rather [G3123] [seeming it as] being good to suffer affliction with [G4778] the [G3588] people [G2992] of the [G3588] God '[G2316], than [G2228] temporary [G4340] to have [G2192] in sins enjoyment ;
26: greater [G3173] riches [G4149] esteeming [G2233] than the [G3588] 10> in [G1722] 11> Egypt treasures [G2344] the [G3588] scorning [G3680] of the [G3588] anointed [G5547]; for he looked away [G1063] to [G1519] the [G3588] payment [G3405].
27: By trust '[G4102] he left [G2641] Egypt, not [G3361] fearing [G5399] the [G3588] rage [G2372] of the [G3588] king ; for the [G3588] [G1063] unseen as [G5613] seeing [G3708] he persevered [G2594].
28: By trust '[G4102] he observed [G4160] the [G3588] passover [G3957] and [G2532] the [G3588] pouring [G4378] of the [G3588] blood , lest [G2443][G3361] the [G3588] [one] annihilating [G3645] the [G3588] first-born [G4416] should touch [G2345] them [G1473].
29: By trust '[G4102] they passed over [G1224] the [G3588] red [G2063] sea [G2281], as [G5613] through [G1223] dry [land [G3584]; of which [G3739] attempt [G3984] taking [G2983] the [G3588] Egyptians] were swallowed down [G2666].
30: By trust '[G4102] the [G3588] walls [G5038] of Jericho fell [G4098], having been encircled [G2944] for [G1909] seven [G2033] days [G2250].
31: By trust '[G4102] Rahab the [G3588] harlot [G4204] was not [G3756] destroyed together [G4881] with the [G3588] [ones] having disobeyed , receiving [G1209] the [G3588] spies [G2685] with [G3326] peace [G1515].
32: And [G2532] what [G5100] yet [G2089] say I [G3004]? For it will be deficient [G1952][G1063] of me [G1473] [not] describing [G1334] the [G3588] time [G5550] concerning [G4012] Gideon, Barak and also [G5037][G2532] Samson, and [G2532] Jephthah, also David [G5037] and [G2532] Samuel, and [G2532] the [G3588] prophets [G4396];
33: the ones who [G3739] through [G1223] trust '[G4102] conquered [G2610] kingdoms , worked [G2038] righteousness [G1343], succeeded in [G2013] promises [G1860], shut up [G5420] mouths [G4750] of lions [G3023],
34: extinguished [G4570] power [G1411] of fire [G4442], fled [G5343] mouths [G4750] of swords [G3162], were empowered [G1743] from out off weakness , became [G1096] strong [G2478] in [G1722] war [G4171]; camps [G3925] they leaned [G2827] of aliens ;
35: received [G2983] women [G1135] [G1537] a resurrection of the [G3588]ir dead [G3498][G1473]; and others [G1161] were pounded [G5178], not [G3756] accepting [G4327] the [G3588] release by ransom , that [G2443] a better [G2908] resurrection they should attain [G5177].
36: And others [G2087][G1161] of mocking [G1701] and [G2532] of whips [G3148] a trial [G3984] received [G2983], and still [G2089][G1161] of bonds [G1199] and [G2532] prison [G5438].
37: They were stoned [G3034], were sawn [G4249], were tested [G3985], by [G1722] murder [G5408] of sword [G3162] they died ; they went around [G4022] in [G1722] sheepskins [G3374], in [G1722] goat's skins [G1192]; lacking [G5302], being afflicted [G2346], being mistreated [G2558];
38: (of whom [G3739] was not [G3756] worthy the [G3588] arrangement '[G2889]) in [G1722] desolate places [G2047] wandering [G4105], and [G2532] in raised-places (mountains) '[G3735], and [G2532] in caves [G4693], and [G2532] the [G3588] openings [G3692] of the [G3588] land '[G1093].
39: And [G2532] these [G3778] all [G3956] testifying [G3140] on account of [G1223] the [G3588] trust '[G4102] [while] not [G3756] receiving [G2865] the [G3588] promise [G1860],
40: the [G3588] of God '[G2316] for [G4012] us [G1473] something better [G2908][G5100] having foreseen [G4265], that [G2443] not [G3361] separate from [G5565] us [G1473] they should be perfected [G5048].
