Genesis Chapter 35 - | Early Church Bible

1: said [G2036] And [G1161] the [G3588] God '[G2316] to [G4314] Jacob, Rising up , go up unto [G1519] the [G3588] place [G5117] Beth-el! And [G2532] live [G3611] there [G1563], and [G2532] make [G4160] there [G1563] an altar [G2379] the [G3588] to God '[G2316]! to the [one] the [G3588] appearing [G3708] to you [G1473] in [G1722] the [G3588] running away from face [G4383] of Esau the [G3588] your brother [G1473].
2: said [G2036] And [G1161] Jacob the [G3588] to his house [G3624][G1473], and [G2532] to all [G3956] the [ones] the [G3588] with [G3326] him [G1473], Take away the [G3588] gods '[G2316] the [G3588] alien from [G1537] your midst [G3319][G1473], and [G2532] cleanse [G2511] and [G2532] change the [G3588] your robes [G4749][G1473]!
3: And [G2532] rising up , let us go up unto [G1519] Beth-el, and [G2532] let us make [G4160] there [G1563] an altar [G2379] the [G3588] to God '[G2316]! to the [one] the [G3588] taking heed [G1873] of me [G1473] in [G1722] day [G2250] of affliction [G2347], who [G3739] was with [G3326] me [G1473], and [G2532] preserved [G1295] me [G1473] in [G1722] the [G3588] way [G3598] which [G3739] I went [G4198].
4: And [G2532] they gave [G1325] the [G3588] to Jacob the [G3588] gods '[G2316] the [G3588] alien , which [G3739] were in [G1722] the [G3588]ir hands [G5495][G1473], and [G2532] the [G3588] ear-rings the [G3588] in [G1722] the [G3588]ir ears [G3775][G1473]. And [G2532] hid them [G1473] Jacob] under [G5259] the [G3588] turpentine tree , the [G3588] [one] in [G1722] Shechem. And [G2532] he destroyed them [G1473] unto [G2193] the [G3588] today's [G4594] day [G2250].
5: And [G2532] Israel lifted away [G1808] from [G1537] Shechem. And [G2532] there was [G1096] a fear [G5401] of God '[G2316] upon [G1909] the [G3588] cities [G4172] the [G3588] round about [G2945] them [G1473]. And [G2532] they did not [G3756] pursue [G2614] after [G3694] the [G3588] sons [G5207] of Israel.
6: came [G2064] And [G1161] Jacob] into [G1519] Luz, which [G3739] is in [G1722] land '[G1093] of Canaan, which [G3739] is Beth-el, he [G1473] and [G2532] all [G3956] the [G3588] people [G2992] who [G3739] were with [G3326] him [G1473].
7: And [G2532] he built [G3618] there [G1563] an altar [G2379], and [G2532] he called [G2564] the [G3588] name [G3686] of the [G3588] place [G5117], Beth-el, for there [G1563][G1063] appeared [G5316] to him [G1473] the [G3588] God '[G2316] in [G1722] the [G3588] his running away [G1473] from face [G4383] of Esau the [G3588] brother of him [G1473].
8: died And [G1161] Deborah the [G3588] nurse [G5162] of Rebekah], and [G2532] they entombed [her [G2290] below [G2736] Beth-el, under [G5259] the [G3588] acorn tree , and [G2532] Jacob called [G2564] the [G3588] name [G3686] of it [G1473], Acorn tree of Mourning [G3997].
9: appeared [G3708] And [G1161] the [G3588] God '[G2316] the [G3588] to Jacob still [G2089] in [G1722] Luz, when [G3753] he came [G3854] from out of [G1537] Mesopotamia the [G3588] of Syria. And [G2532] blessed [G2127] him [G1473] the [G3588] God '[G2316].
10: And [G2532] said [G2036] to him [G1473] the [G3588] God '[G2316], the [G3588] Your name [G3686][G1473] will not be called [G3756][G2564] any longer [G2089] Jacob, but Israel will be the [G3588] name [G3686] of you [G1473]. And [G2532] he called [G2564] the [G3588] name [G3686] of him [G1473] Israel.
11: said [G2036] And [G1161] to him [G1473] the [G3588] God '[G2316], I [am [G1473] the [G3588] God '[G2316] of you [G1473]. Grow and [G2532] multiply [G4129]! tradition-peoples (ethnics) '[G1484] and [G2532] gatherings [G4864] of tradition-peoples (ethnics) '[G1484] will be from [G1537] you [G1473], and [G2532] kings from [G1537] the [G3588] your loin [G3751][G1473] will come forth [G1831].
12: And [G2532] the [G3588] land '[G1093] which [G3739] I gave [G1325] Abraham and [G2532] Isaac, to you [G1473] I give [G1325] it [G1473]. And [G2532] [to the [G3588] your seed [G4690][G1473] after [G3326] you [G1473] I will give [G1325] the [G3588] this land '[G1093][G3778].
13: went up And [G1161] the [G3588] God '[G2316] from him [G1473], from [G1537] the [G3588] place [G5117] where [G3739] he spoke [G2980] with [G3326] him [G1473].
14: And [G2532] Jacob set up [G2476] a monument in [G1722] the [G3588] place [G5117] in which [G3739] spoke [G2980] with [G3326] him [G1473] the [G3588] God '[G2316] -- monument a stone [G3035]. And [G2532] he offered [G4689] upon [G1909] it [G1473] a libation , and [G2532] he poured [G2022] upon [G1909] it [G1473] olive oil [G1637].
15: And [G2532] Jacob called [G2564] the [G3588] name [G3686] of the [G3588] place [G5117] in [G1722] which [G3739] spoke [G2980] with [G3326] him [G1473] there [G1563] the [G3588] God '[G2316], Beth-el.
16: departed And [G1161] Jacob] from [G1537] Beth-el, [and] he pitched [G4078] the [G3588] his tent [G4633][G1473] beyond [G1900] the [G3588] tower [G4444] of Gader. And it came to pass [G1096][G1161] when [G2259] he approached [G1448] Chabratha, the [G3588] to come [G2064] into [G1519] the [G3588] Ephrath, Rachel bore [G5088]. And [G2532] in [G1722] the [G3588] giving birth [G5088] she suffered birth pangs .
17: And it came to pass [G1096][G1161] in [G1722] the [G3588] her harshly [G1473] bearing [G5088], said [G2036] to her [G1473] the [G3588] midwife , Be of courage [G2293]! for also [G2532][G1063] this [G3778] to you [G1473] is a son [G5207].
18: And it came to pass [G1096][G1161] in [G1722] the [G3588] her letting go [G1473] the [G3588] soul [G5590], for she was dying [G1063], she called [G2564] the [G3588] name [G3686] of him [G1473], Son [G5207] of my Grief [G3601]; the [G3588] but [G1161] father [G3962] called [G2564] the [G3588] name [G3686] of him [G1473], Benjamin.
19: died And [G1161] Rachel], and [G2532] she was entombed [G2290] in [G1722] the [G3588] way [G3598] of Ephrath, this [G3778] is Beth-lehem.
20: And [G2532] Jacob set up [G2476] a monument for [G1909] the [G3588] her memorial [G3419][G1473]. This [G3778] is monument upon [G1909] the [G3588] tomb [G3419] of Rachel, until [G2193] the [G3588] this day [G2250][G3778].
21: And it came to pass [G1096][G1161] when [G2259] Israel dwelt [G2730] in [G1722] the [G3588] that land '[G1093][G1565], Reuben went [G4198] and [G2532] bedded [G2837] with [G3326] Bilhah, the [G3588] concubine of the [G3588] his father [G3962][G1473] Jacob. And [G2532] Israel heard , and [G2532] wicked [G4190] it appeared [G5316] before [G1726] him [G1473].
22: were And [G1161] the [G3588] sons [G5207] of Jacob] twelve [G1427].
23: sons [G5207] of Leah, first-born [G4416] of Jacob, Reuben, Simeon, Levi, Judah, Issachar, Zebulun.
24: And sons [G5207][G1161] of Rachel, Joseph and [G2532] Benjamin.
25: And sons [G5207][G1161] of Bilhah maidservant [G3814] of Rachel, Dan and [G2532] Naphtali.
26: And sons [G5207][G1161] of Zilpah maidservant [G3814] of Leah, Gad and [G2532] Asher. These [G3778] [are the] sons [G5207] of Jacob, the [ones] the [G3588] who were born [G1096] to him [G1473] in [G1722] Mesopotamia the [G3588] of Syria.
27: came [G2064] And [G1161] Jacob] to [G4314] Isaac the [G3588] his father [G3962][G1473] in [G1519] Mamre, in [G1519] a city [G4172] of the [G3588] plain -- this [G3778] is Hebron, in [G1722] land '[G1093] of Canaan, where [G3739] sojourned [G3939] Abraham and [G2532] Isaac].
28: And were [G1096][G1161] the [G3588] days [G2250] of Isaac which [G3739] he lived [G2198], years [G2094] a hundred [G1540] eighty [G3589].
29: And [G2532] failing [G1587], Isaac died . And [G2532] he was added [G4369] to [G4314] the [G3588] his family [G1085][G1473], older [G4245] and [G2532] full [G4134] of days [G2250]. And [G2532] entombed [G2290] him [G1473] Esau and [G2532] Jacob the [G3588] two [G1417] sons [G5207] of him '[G1473].
