Exodus Chapter 16 - | Early Church Bible

1: And they departed [G1161] from [G1537] Elim, and [G2532] came [G2064] all [G3956] the congregation [G4864] of sons [G5207] of Israel] unto [G1519] the [G3588] wilderness [G2048] of Sin, which [G3739] is between Elim and [G2532] between Sinai. And on the [G3588][G1161] fifteenth [G4003] day [G2250] [in the [G3588] month [G3376] the [G3588] second [G1208] they went forth [G1831][G1473] from [G1537] land '[G1093] of Egypt.
2: complained [G1234] All [G3956] the [G3588] gathering [G4864] of the [G3588] sons [G5207] of Israel] to [G1909] Moses and [G2532] Aaron.
3: And [G2532] said [G2036] to [G4314] them [G1473] the [G3588] sons [G5207] of Israel], Ought [G3784] we died being struck [G4141] by [G5259] Boss '[G2962] in [G1722] land '[G1093] of Egypt, whenever [G3752] we sat down [G2523] at [G1909] the [G3588] kettles of the [G3588] meats [G2907], and [G2532] ate [G2068] bread loaves in [G1519] fullness [G4140]. For [G3754] you led [G1806] us [G1473] into [G1519] the [G3588] this wilderness [G2048][G3778] to kill all [G3956] the [G3588] this congregation [G4864][G3778] by [G1722] hunger [G3042].
4: said [G2036] And [G1161] Boss '[G2962] to [G4314] Moses, look [G2400], I [G1473] rain upon you [G1473] bread loaves from out of [G1537] the [G3588] raised-place-above (sky) '[G3772]; and [G2532] will come forth [G1831] the [G3588] people [G2992], and [G2532] they will collect together [G4816] the [bread the [G3588] [G3588] day [G2250] to [G1519] day [G2250], that [G3704] I should test [G3985] them [G1473] if [G1487] they will go [by [G4198] the [G3588] my law [G3551][G1473] or [G2228] not [G3756].
5: And [G2532] it will be in [G1722] the [G3588] day [G2250] the [G3588] sixth [G1622], and [G2532] they will prepare [G2090] what [G3739] ever they should carry in [G1533], and [G2532] it will be double [G1362] what [G3739] ever they should bring [G4863] the [G3588] according to [G2596] day [G2250] by [G1519] day [G2250].
6: said [G2036] And [G1161] Moses and [G2532] Aaron] to [G4314] all [G3956] gathering [G4864] of sons [G5207] of Israel, [At] evening [G2073] you will know [G1097] that [G3754] Boss '[G2962] led you out [G1806][G1473] of [G1537] land '[G1093] of Egypt.
7: And [G2532] [in the] morning [G4404] you will see [G3708] the [G3588] glory [G1391] of Boss '[G2962], in [G1722] the [G3588] hearing [G1522] of the [G3588] your grumbling [G1112][G1473] against [G1909] the [G3588] God '[G2316]. And we [G1473][G1161], what [G5100] are we that [G3754] you complain [G1234] against [G2596] us [G1473]?
8: And [G2532] Moses said [G2036], [It is] in [G1722] the [G3588] giving [G1325] Boss '[G2962] to you [G1473] in the evening [G2073] meats [G2907] to eat [G2068], and [G2532] bread loaves in the morning [G4404] for [G1519] fullness [G4140], on account of [G1223] the [G3588] lord's hearing [G1522][G2962] the [G3588] your grumbling [G1112][G1473] which [G3739] you [G1473] complain [G1234] against [G2596] us [G1473]. But we [G1473][G1161], what [G5100] are we ? For not [G3756][G1063] against [G2596] us [G1473] the [G3588] your grumbling [G1112][G1473] is , but against [G2596] the [G3588] God '[G2316].
9: said [G2036] And [G1161] Moses] to [G4314] Aaron, Say [G2036] to all [G3956] congregation [G4864] of sons [G5207] of Israel! Come forward [G4334] before [G1726] the [G3588] God '[G2316]! for he has heard [G1522][G1063] the [G3588] your grumbling [G1112][G1473].
10: And when [G2259][G1161] Aaron spoke [G2980] to all [G3956] congregation [G4864] of sons [G5207] of Israel, that [G2532] they turned [G1994] into [G1519] the [G3588] wilderness [G2048], and [G2532] the [G3588] glory [G1391] of Boss '[G2962] appeared [G3708] in [G1722] a cloud [G3507].
11: And [G2532] spoke [G2980] Boss '[G2962] to [G4314] Moses, saying [G3004],
12: I have heard [G1522] the [G3588] grumbling [G1112] of the [G3588] sons [G5207] of Israel. Speak [G2980] to [G4314] them [G1473]! saying [G3004], the [G3588] Towards [G4314] evening [G2073] you will eat [G2068] meats [G2907], and [G2532] in the morning [G4404] you will be filled [G4130] of bread loaves . And [G2532] you will know [G1097] that [G3754] I [G1473] am Boss '[G2962] the [G3588] God '[G2316] of you [G1473].
13: And it was [G1096][G1161] evening [G2073]. And [G2532] there went up mother-quail , and [G2532] it covered [G2572] the [G3588] camp [G3925]. And in the morning [G4404][G1161] there was [G1096] a resting [G2664] of the [G3588] dew round about [G2945] the [G3588] camp [G3925].
14: And [G2532] look [G2400], upon [G1909] face [G4383] of the [G3588] wilderness [G2048], a thin [thing] [G3016] as [G5616] coriander -- white [G3022], as [G5616] ice upon [G1909] the [G3588] land '[G1093].
15: And seeing [G1492][G1161] it [G1473], the [G3588] sons [G5207] of Israel said [G2036], an other [G2087] to the [G3588] other [G2087], What [G5100] is this [G3778]? not [G3756] For [G1063] they had] known [G1492] what [G5100] it was . said [G2036] And [G1161] Moses] to [G4314] them [G1473], This [G3778] [is] the [G3588] bread which [G3739] BOSS gave [G1325][G2962] to you [G1473] to eat [G2068].
16: This [G3778] [is] the [G3588] thing [G4487] which [G3739] BOSS ordered [G4929][G2962]. Bring together [G4863] off it [G1473] each [G1538] for [G1519] [what the [G3588] is fitting [G2520]! A homer per [G2596] head [G2776], according to [G2596] number of your souls [G5590][G1473]; each [G1538] with [G1722] the [G3588] your tents [G4633][G1473] let] collect together [G4816]!
17: And [G2532] did [G4160] so [G3779] the [G3588] sons [G5207] of Israel], and [G2532] they collected together [G4816] what [was [G3739] the [G3588] much [G4183] and [G2532] what [was [G3739] the [G3588] less [G1640].
18: And [G2532] measuring [G3354] [with] the [G3588] homer , was not [G3756] superabundant [G4121] the one which [G3739] the [G3588] [had] much [G4183], and [G2532] [the one] which [G3739] the [G3588] had less [G1640] had not too less [G3756][G1641], for each [G1538][G1519] the [G3588] [what was] fitting [G2520] for [G3844] himself [G1438] collected together [G4816].
19: said [G2036] And [G1161] Moses] to [G4314] them [G1473], Let no one [G3367] leave behind [G2641] off of him '[G1473] into [G1519] the morning [G4404]!
20: And [G2532] they did not [G3756] hearken to Moses, but left behind [G2641] some [G5100] off it [G1473] into [G1519] the morning [G4404]. And [G2532] erupted worms [G4663], and [G2532] it stunk . And [G2532] was embittered [G4087] over [G1909] them [G1473] Moses].
21: And [G2532] they collected it together [G4816][G1473] morning [G4404] [by] morning [G4404], each [G1538] the [G3588] fitting [thing] [G2520] for himself [G1473]. And when [G2259][G1161] warmed through the [G3588] sun [G2246], it melted away [G5080].
22: And it happened [G1096][G1161] in the [G3588] day [G2250] the [G3588] sixth [G1622] they collected together [G4816] the [G3588] necessary [G1163] double [amount [G1362], two [G1417] homers to the [G3588] [one] [person [G1520]. entered [G1525] And [G1161] all [G3956] the [G3588] rulers of the [G3588] congregation [G4864], and [G2532] announced to Moses.
23: said [G2036] And [G1161] Moses] to [G4314] them [G1473], This [G3778] the [G3588] word [G4487] is what [G3739] spoke [G2980] Boss '[G2962]. A Sabbath [G4521] rest , pure ' to the [G3588] Boss '[G2962] [is] tomorrow . Whatever as much as [G3745][G1437] you should bake -- bake . And [G2532] whatever as much as [G3745][G1437] you should boil -- boil ! And [G2532] all [G3956] that the [G3588] being superabundant [G4121] leave [G2641] it [G1473] for [G1519] reposit for [G1519] the morning [G4404]!
24: And [G2532] they left [G2641] off it [G1473] into [G1519] the morning [G4404], as [G2596] ordered [G4929] them [G1473] Moses]. And [G2532] it did not [G3756] stink , nor [G3761] a worm [G4663] was there [G1096] in [G1722] it [G1473].
25: said [G2036] And [G1161] Moses], You eat [G2068] it today [G4594][G1473], for it is [G1063] a Sabbath [G4521] to the [G3588] Boss '[G2962]! Today [G4594] you will not find [G3756][G2147] [any] in [G1722] a plain .
26: Six [G1803] days [G2250] you will collect together [G4816], but the [G3588][G1161] day [G2250] the [G3588] seventh [G1442] [is] a Sabbath [G4521], for [G3754] it will not be [G3756] [found] in [G1722] it [G1473].
27: And it came to pass [G1096][G1161] on [G1722] the [G3588] seventh [G1442] day [G2250], and [G2532] came forth [G1831] certain ones [G5100] from [G1537] the [G3588] people [G2992] to collect together [G4816], and [G2532] they did not [G3756] find [G2147].
28: said [G2036] And [G1161] Boss '[G2962] to [G4314] Moses, For how [long [G2193][G5100] will you not [G3756][G1014] listen to [G1522] the [G3588] my commandments [G1785][G1473], and [G2532] the [G3588] my law [G3551][G1473]?
29: See [G1492]! for the [G3588][G1063] Boss '[G2962] gave [G1325] to you [G1473] Sabbath [G4521] the [G3588] day [G2250] this [G3778]. On account of [G1223] this [G3778] he [G1473] gave [G1325] to you [G1473] on the [G3588] day [G2250] the [G3588] sixth [G1622] bread loaves [for] two [G1417] days [G2250]. Let sit down [G2521] each [G1538] in [G1519] the [G3588] your houses [G3624][G1473] by [G3844] himself [G1438]! Not one [G3367] of you [G1473] go forth [G1607] from out of [G1537] the [G3588] his place [G5117][G1473] during the [G3588] day [G2250] the [G3588] seventh [G1442]!
30: And [G2532] observed the Sabbath the [G3588] people [G2992] in the [G3588] day [G2250] the [G3588] seventh [G1442].
31: And [G2532] named [G2028] it [G1473] the [G3588] sons [G5207] of Israel] -- the [G3588] name [G3686] of it [G1473], Manna . And it was [G1161] as [G5616] seed [G4690] of coriander -- white [G3022]. And the [G3588][G1161] taste of it [G1473] [was] as [G5613] pastry with [G1722] honey [G3192].
32: said [G2036] And [G1161] Moses], This [G3778] is the [G3588] thing [G4487] which [G3739] BOSS ordered [G4929][G2962]. Fill [G4130] the [G3588] homer of the [G3588] manna , for [G1519] reposit for [G1519] the [G3588] your generations [G1074][G1473]! that [G2443] they might see [G1492] the [G3588] bread which [G3739] you ate [G2068][G1473] in [G1722] the [G3588] wilderness [G2048], as [G5613] led [G1806] you [G1473] Boss '[G2962] out of [G1537] land '[G1093] of Egypt.
33: And [G2532] Moses said [G2036] to [G4314] Aaron, Take [G2983] jar [G4713] golden [G5552] one [G1520], and [G2532] put [G1685] in [G1519] it [G1473] a full [G4134] the [G3588] homer of the [G3588] manna , and [G2532] put it aside [G1473] before [G1726] the [G3588] God '[G2316] for [G1519] preservation into [G1519] the [G3588] your generations [G1074][G1473]!
34: In which [G3739] manner [G5158] BOSS ordered [G4929][G2962] the [G3588] Moses, even [G2532] put aside Aaron it [G1473] before [G1726] the [G3588] testimony [G3142] for [G1519] preservation .
35: And the [G3588][G1161] sons [G5207] of Israel ate [G2068] the [G3588] manna years [G2094] forty [G5062], until [G2193] they came [G2064] into [G1519] land '[G1093] to be lived in [G3611]. the [G3588] manna They ate [G2068] until [G2193] they came [G3854] into [G1519] a part [G3313] of the [G3588] Phoenicia.
36: Now the [G3588][G1161] homer the [G3588] tenth [G1181] of the [G3588] three [G5140] measures [G3358] was .
