Exodus Chapter 12 - | Early Church Bible

1: said [G2036] And [G1161] Boss '[G2962] to [G4314] Moses and [G2532] Aaron in [G1722] land '[G1093] of Egypt, saying [G3004],
2: the [G3588] This month [G3376][G3778] [is] to you [G1473] beginning of months [G3376]. first [G4413] It is to you [G1473] among [G1722] the [G3588] months [G3376] of the [G3588] year [G1763].
3: Speak [G2980] to [G4314] all [G3956] gathering [G4864] of the [G3588] sons [G5207] of Israel! saying [G3004], the [G3588] tenth [G1181] of the [G3588] this month [G3376][G3778] let take [G2983] each [G1538] a sheep [G4263] according to [G2596] houses [G3624] of families [G3965]! a sheep [G4263] according to [G2596] a house [G3614].
4: But if [G1437][G1161] there should be very few in [G1722] the [G3588] house [G3614], so as [G5620] for there not [G3361] to be enough [G2425] for [G1519] sheep [G4263], he will include [G4815] with [G3326] himself [G1438] the [G3588] neighbor [G1069], the [G3588] neighboring [G4139] him [G1473], according to [G2596] number of souls [G5590], each [G1538] the [G3588] sufficient for him [G1473] to be counted for [G1519] sheep [G4263].
5: sheep [G4263] a perfect [G5046] male unblemished of a year [old It will be to you [G1473]; from the [G3588] lambs and [G2532] from the [G3588] kids [G2056] you will take [G2983].
6: And [G2532] it will be to you [G1473] for carefully keeping [G1301] until [G2193] the [G3588] fourteenth [G5065] of the [G3588] this month [G3376][G3778]. And [G2532] they will slay [G4969] it [G1473] -- all [G3956] the [G3588] multitude [G4128] of gathering [G4864] of sons [G5207] of Israel towards [G4314] evening [G2073].
7: And [G2532] they will take [G2983] from the [G3588] blood , and [G2532] they will put [it [G5087] upon [G1909] the [G3588] two [G1417] doorposts , and [G2532] upon [G1909] the [G3588] lintel on [G1722] the [G3588] houses [G3624] in [G1722] which [G3739] they should eat [G2068] them [G1473] in [G1722] them [G1473].
8: And [G2532] they will eat [G2068] the [G3588] meats [G2907] the [G3588] in this night [G3571][G3778], roasted [G3702] by fire [G4442]; and [G2532] unleavened [breads with [G1909] bitter herbs they will eat [G2068].
9: You will not [G3756] eat [G2068] of [G1909] them [G1473] raw , nor [G3761] being boiled in [G1722] water [G5204], but the [G3588] roasted [G3702] [by] fire [G4442], head [G2776] with [G4862] the [G3588] feet [G4228], and [G2532] the [G3588] entrails .
10: You will not [G3756] leave [anything from it [G1473] into [G1519] the [G3588] morning [G4404]. And [G2532] a bone [G3747] you will not break [G3756][G4937] off it [G1473]. And the [things] [G3588][G1161] being left behind [G2641] from it [G1473] unto [G2193] morning [G4404], in [G1722] fire [G4442] you will incinerate [G2618].
11: And thus [G3779][G1161] will you eat [G2068] it [G1473] -- [with] the [G3588] your loins [G3751][G1473] girded [G4024], and [G2532] the [G3588] sandals [G5266] on [G1722] the [G3588] your feet [G4228][G1473], and [G2532] the [G3588] your staff [G1473] in [G1722] the [G3588] your hands [G5495][G1473]; and [G2532] you will eat [G2068] it [G1473] with [G3326] haste [G4710] -- it is passover [G3957] of Boss '[G2962].
12: And [G2532] I will go through [G1330] in [G1722] land '[G1093] of Egypt in [G1722] the [G3588] this night [G3571][G3778], and [G2532] I will strike [G3960] all [G3956] first-born [G4416] in [G1722] land '[G1093] of Egypt, from man unto [G2193] beast [G2934]; and [G2532] among [G1722] all [G3956] the [G3588] gods '[G2316] of the Egyptians I will execute [G4160] the [G3588] punishment [G1557] -- I [G1473] Boss '[G2962].
13: And [G2532] will be the [G3588] blood to you [G1473] for [G1722] a sign [G4592] upon [G1909] the [G3588] houses [G3614] in [G1722] which [G3739] you [G1473] are there [G1563]; and [G2532] I will see [G3708] the [G3588] blood and [G2532] shelter you [G1473]; and [G2532] there will not [G3756] be to [G1722] you [G1473] a calamity [G4127] of the [G3588] obliteration , whenever [G3752] I smite [G3817] in [G1722] land '[G1093] of Egypt.
14: And [G2532] will be the [G3588] this day [G2250][G3778] to you [G1473] a memorial [G3422]. And [G2532] you will solemnize [G1858] it [G1473] a holiday [G1859] to Boss '[G2962] unto [G1519] the [G3588] your generations [G1074][G1473]; law an of the term (age) ' you will solemnize [G1858] it [G1473].
15: Seven [G2033] days [G2250] you will eat [G2068] unleavened [breads . And from [G1161] the [G3588] day [G2250] the [G3588] first [G4413] you will remove yeast [G2219] from [G1537] the [G3588] your houses [G3614][G1473]. All [G3956] who [G3739] ever will eat [G2068] yeast [G2219], will be utterly destroyed [G1842] the [G3588] that soul [G5590][G1565] from out of [G1537] Israel; [it will be] from the [G3588] day [G2250] the [G3588] first [G4413] until [G2193] the [G3588] day [G2250] the [G3588] seventh [G1442].
16: And [G2532] the [G3588] day [G2250] the [G3588] first [G4413] will be called [G2564] pure '. And [G2532] the [G3588] day [G2250] the [G3588] seventh [G1442] called [G2822] pure ' will be to you [G1473]. All [G3956] work [G2041] servile will not be done [G3756][G4160] in [G1722] them [G1473], except [G4133] as much as [G3745] [is necessary] to do [G4160] for every [G3956] soul [G5590], this [G3778] only [G3440] will be done [G4160] by you [G1473].
17: And [G2532] you will guard [G5442] the [G3588] this commandment [G1785][G3778]. For in [G1722][G1063] the [G3588] this day [G2250][G3778] I will lead [G1806] the [G3588] your force [G1411][G1473] from out of [G1537] land '[G1093] of Egypt. And [G2532] you will appoint [G4160] the [G3588] this day [G2250][G3778] into [G1519] your generations [G1074][G1473] law [as an] of the term (age) '.
18: Commencing [G1728] the [G3588] fourteenth [G5065] day [G2250] the [G3588] month [G3376] of the [G3588] first [G4413], from evening [G2073] you will eat [G2068] unleavened [breads until [G2193] day [G2250] first [G1520] and [G2532] twentieth of the [G3588] month [G3376], until [G2193] evening [G2073].
19: [For] seven [G2033] days [G2250] yeast [G2219] will not be found [G3756][G2147] in [G1722] the [G3588] your houses [G3614][G1473]. All [G3956] whosoever [G3739] should eat [G2068] leavened [bread , will utterly be destroyed [G1842] the [G3588] that soul [G5590][G1565] from out of [G1537] congregation [G4864] of Israel, unto [G1722] both [G5037] for the [G3588]eigners and [G2532] native born of the [G3588] land '[G1093].
20: Anything [G3956] leavened you will not [G3756] eat [G2068]. In [G1722] every [G3956] home [G2732] of yours [G1473] you will eat [G2068] unleavened [breads .
21: called [G2564] And [G1161] Moses] whole [G3956] council of elders [G1087] of Israel. And [G2532] he said [G2036] to [G4314] them [G1473], Going forth , take [G2983] to yourselves [G1473][G1473] a sheep [G4263] according to [G2596] your kin [G4772][G1473], and [G2532] sacrifice [G2380] the [G3588] passover [G3957]!
22: But you will take [G2983][G1161] a bundle [G1197] of hyssop [G5301], and [G2532] having dipped it from the [G3588] blood , of the [blood the [G3588] by [G3844] the [G3588] door [G2374], you will place [it [G2525] on the [G3588] lintel and [G2532] upon [G1909] both of the [G3588] doorposts , off the [G3588] blood which [G3739] is by [G3844] the [G3588] door [G2374]; and you [G1473][G1161] will not [G3756] go forth [G1831] -- each [G1538] from the [G3588] door [G2374] of the [G3588] his house [G3624][G1473] until [G2193] morning [G4404].
23: And [G2532] BOSS will go by [G3928][G2962] to strike [G3960] the [G3588] Egyptians. And [G2532] he will see [G3708] the [G3588] blood upon [G1909] the [G3588] lintel and [G2532] upon [G1909] both of the [G3588] doorposts . And [G2532] BOSS will go by [G3928][G2962] the [G3588] door [G2374], and [G2532] he will not [G3756] leave off the [G3588] annihilating [G3645] [so as] to enter [G1525] into [G1519] the [G3588] your house [G3614][G1473] to strike [G3960].
24: And [G2532] you will guard [G5442] the [G3588] this thing [G4487][G3778] for the [G3588] law to yourself [G4572], and [G2532] [to the [G3588] your sons [G5207][G1473] unto [G2193] age (term) `.
25: And if [G1437][G1161] you should enter [G1525] into [G1519] the [G3588] land '[G1093] which [G3739] ever BOSS should give [G1325][G2962] to you [G1473], in so far as [G2530] he spoke [G2980], you will guard [G5442] the [G3588] this service [G2999][G3778].
26: And [G2532] it will be if [G1437] should say [G3004] to [G4314] you [G1473] the [G3588] your sons [G5207][G1473], What [G5100] the [G3588] [is] this service [G2999][G3778]?
27: That [G2532] you will say [G2046] to them [G1473], sacrifice [G2378] the [G3588] passover [G3957] This [is [G3778] to Boss '[G2962], as [G5613] he sheltered the [G3588] houses [G3624] of the [G3588] sons [G5207] of Israel in [G1722] Egypt, when [G2259] he struck [G3960] the [G3588] Egyptians, the [G3588] but [G1161] our houses [G3624][G1473] he rescued [G4506]. And [G2532] bowing [G2955], the [G3588] people [G2992] did obeisance [G4352].
28: And [G2532] going forth , did [G4160] the [G3588] sons [G5207] of Israel] as [G2505] BOSS gave charge [G1781][G2962] the [G3588] to Moses and [G2532] Aaron -- so [G3779] they did [G4160].
29: And it happened [G1096][G1161] in the middle [G3322] of the [G3588] night [G3571], and [G2532] Boss '[G2962] struck [G3960] all [G3956] first-born [G4416] in [G1722] land '[G1093] of Egypt; from first-born [G4416] of Pharaoh, of the [G3588] [one] sitting [G2521] upon [G1909] the [G3588] throne [G2362], unto [G2193] the [G3588] first-born [G4416] of the [G3588] captive , of the [G3588] [one] in [G1722] the [G3588] pit , and [G2532] every [G3956] first-born [G4416] of beast [G2934].
30: And [G2532] Pharaoh rose up at night [G3571], and [G2532] all [G3956] the [G3588] his attendants [G2324][G1473], and [G2532] all [G3956] the [G3588] Egyptians, and [G2532] there was [G1096] cry [G2906] a great [G3173] in [G1722] all [G3956] land '[G1093] of Egypt. no [G3756] For [G1063] there was house [G3614] in [G1722] which [G3739] there was not [G3756] [one] in [G1722] it [G1473] dying [G2348].
31: And [G2532] Pharaoh called [G2564] Moses and [G2532] Aaron [at] night [G3571], and [G2532] he said [G2036] to them [G1473], Rise up , and [G2532] go forth [G1831] from [G1537] the [G3588] people [G2992] of me [G1473], both [G2532] you [G1473] and [G2532] the [G3588] sons [G5207] of Israel! Proceed and [G2532] serve [G3000] [to the] Boss '[G2962] the [G3588] God '[G2316] of you [G1473]! as [G2505] you say [G3004].
32: And [G2532] the [G3588] sheep [G4263] and [G2532] the [G3588] oxen [G1016] of yours [G1473] in taking up , go [G4198]! just as [G2509] you say [G2046]; and bless [G2127][G1161] also me [G2504]!
33: And [G2532] constrained the [G3588] Egyptians] the [G3588] people [G2992] with diligence [G4710] to cast [G1544] them [G1473] from the [G3588] land '[G1093]; for they said [G2036][G1063] that [G3754], We all [G3956][G1473] will die .
34: took And [G1161] the [G3588] people [G2992] the [G3588]ir dough [G1473] before [G4253] the [G3588] leavening [G2220] of the [G3588]ir batches [G5445][G1473], being bound in [G1722] the [G3588]ir cloaks [G2440][G1473] upon [G1909] their the [G3588] shoulders [G5606].
35: And the [G3588][G1161] sons [G5207] of Israel did [G4160] as [G2505] ordered [G4929] them [G1473] Moses]. And [G2532] they asked from [G3844] the [G3588] Egyptians items [G4632] of silver , and [G2532] of gold [G5552], and [G2532] clothes [G2441].
36: And [G2532] Boss '[G2962] gave [G1325] the [G3588] favor [G5484] to the [G3588] his people [G2992][G1473] before [G1726] the [G3588] Egyptians, and [G2532] they furnished [G5530] to them [G1473]; and [G2532] they despoiled the [G3588] Egyptians.
37: having departed And [G1161] the [G3588] sons [G5207] of Israel] from out of [G1537] Rameses into [G1519] Succoth, to [the number of [G1519] six hundred [G1812] thousand [G5505] footmen , the [G3588] males , besides [G4133] the [G3588] belongings ,
38: and [G2532] intermixed [company a great [G4183] went up together with [G4872] them [G1473], and [G2532] sheep [G4263] and [G2532] oxen [G1016], and [G2532] cattle [G2934] -- many [G4183] exceedingly [G4970].
39: And [G2532] they baked the [G3588] dough which [G3739] they brought [G1627] from out of [G1537] Egypt -- cakes baked in hot ashes unleavened . not [G3756] For [G1063] it was] leavened [G2220], cast out [G1544] because [G1063] them [G1473] the [G3588] Egyptians], and [G2532] they were not [G3756] able [G1410] to remain [G5278], nor [G3761] provisions [G1979] to prepare [G4160] for themselves [G1438] for [G1519] the [G3588] journey [G3598].
40: And the [G3588][G1161] dwelling [G2731] of the [G3588] sons [G5207] of Israel, which [G3739] they dwelt [G2730] in [G1722] land '[G1093] of Egypt, and [G2532] in [G1722] land '[G1093] of Canaan, they [G1473] and [G2532] the [G3588]ir fathers [G3962][G1473] -- four hundred [G5071] thirty [G5144] years [G2094].
41: And [G2532] it came to pass [G1096] after [G3326] the [G3588] four hundred [G5071] and [G2532] thirty [G5144] year [G2094], came forth [G1831] all [G3956] for the [G3588]ce [G1411] of Boss '[G2962] from out of [G1537] land '[G1093] of Egypt.
42: a night [G3571] post It is to the [G3588] Boss '[G2962], so as [G5620] to lead [G1806] them [G1473] from out of [G1537] land '[G1093] of Egypt. That [G1565] the [G3588] night itself [G3571][G3778] [is] a post to Boss '[G2962], so as [G5620] to all [G3956] the [G3588] sons [G5207] of Israel to be into [G1519] their generations [G1074][G1473].
43: said [G2036] And [G1161] Boss '[G2962] to [G4314] Moses and [G2532] Aaron, This [is [G3778] the [G3588] law [G3551] of the [G3588] passover [G3957]. Every [G3956] foreigner will not [G3756] eat [G2068] off it [G1473].
44: And [G2532] every [G3956] domestic servant [G3610], any [G5100] which [G3739] [was] bought with silver , you will circumcise [G4059] him [G1473]. And [G2532] then [G5119] he will eat [G2068] off it [G1473].
45: Sojourner [G3941] or [G2228] hireling [G3411] will not [G3756] eat [G2068] off it [G1473].
46: In [G1722] house [G3614] one [G1520] it will be eaten , and [G2532] you will not [G3756] bring forth [G1627] from [G1537] the [G3588] house [G3614] [of any] of the [G3588] meats [G2907] outside [G1854], and [G2532] a bone [G3747] you will not break [G3756][G4937] off it [G1473].
47: Every [G3956] gathering [G4864] of sons [G5207] of Israel will do [G4160] it [G1473].
48: And if [G1437][G1161] any [G5100] should come forward [G4334] to [G4314] you [G1473] foreignor (convert) '[G4339], and [G2532] should observe [G4160] the [G3588] passover [G3957] to Boss '[G2962], you will circumcise [G4059] of of him '[G1473] every [G3956] male . And [G2532] then [G5119] he will come forward [G4334] to do [G4160] it [G1473]. And [G2532] he will be as [G5618] also [G2532] the [G3588] native born of the [G3588] land '[G1093]. Every [G3956] uncircumcised one will not eat [G3756][G2068] off it [G1473].
49: law [G3551] one [G1520] There will be to the [G3588] native inhabitant , and [G2532] to the [one] the [G3588] coming forward [G4334] to foreignor (convert) '[G4339] among [G1722] you [G1473].
50: And [G2532] did [G4160] the [G3588] sons [G5207] of Israel] as [G2505] BOSS gave charge [G1781][G2962] to the [G3588] Moses and [G2532] Aaron to [G4314] them [G1473] -- so [G3779] they did [G4160].
51: And [G2532] it came to pass [G1096] in [G1722] the [G3588] that day [G2250][G1565] BOSS led out [G1806][G2962] the [G3588] sons [G5207] of Israel from [G1537] land '[G1093] of Egypt with [G4862] their force [G1411][G1473].
