Esther Chapter 9 - | Early Church Bible

1: For in [G1722][G1063] the [G3588] twelfth [G1428] month [G3376], on the [G3588] thirteenth of the [G3588] month [G3376], which [G3739] is Adar , were at hand [G3918] the [G3588] letters [G1121] the [G3588] written [G1125] by [G3844] the [G3588] king .
2: And [G2532] in [G1722] [that [G1473] the [G3588] day [G2250] were destroyed the [G3588] adversaries of the [G3588] Jews], no one [G3762][G1063] for [G1063] opposed fearing [G5399] them [G1473].
3: For the [G3588][G1063] rulers of the [G3588] satraps , and [G2532] the [G3588] sovereigns [G5181], and [G2532] the [G3588] royal scholars (scribes) '[G1122] (soferim [H5613]) esteemed [G5091] the [G3588] Jews, for [G3754] the [G3588] fear [G5401] of Mordecai rested upon [G1945] them [G1473].
4: fell [G4363] For [G1063] the [G3588] order of the [G3588] king for him to be named [G3687] in [G1722] all [G3956] the [G3588] government '.

6: And [G2532] in [G1722] Shushan the [G3588] city [G4172] the Jews killed the [G3588] men five hundred [G4001] --
7: both the [G3588][G5037] Parshandatha, and [G2532] Dalphon, and [G2532] Aspatha,
8: and [G2532] Poratha, and [G2532] Adalia, and [G2532] Aridatha and [G2532] Parmashta, and [G2532] Arisai,
9: and [G2532] Aridai, and [G2532] Vajezatha,
10: even [G2532] the [G3588] ten [G1176] sons [G5207] of Haman, [son of] Hammedatha Bougean, the [G3588] enemy [G2190] of the [G3588] Jews; but [G2532] they plundered not [G3756][G1283] in [G1722] [that [G1473] the [G3588] day [G2250].
11: And was given [G1929][G1161] number to the [G3588] king of the [G3588] [ones] being destroyed in [G1722] Shushan.
12: said [G2036] And [G1161] the [G3588] king to [G4314] Esther, The Jews destroyed the [G3588] in [G1722] Shushan men five hundred [G4001] in [G1722] the [G3588] city [G4172]; and in [G1722][G1161] the [G3588] place round about [G4066], how [G4459] do you imagine [G3633] they were treated [G5530]? What [G5100] then [G3767] do you still petition [G2089], for [G2532] it will be yours [G1473]?
13: And [G2532] Esther said [G2036] to the [G3588] king , Let it be given [G1325] for the [G3588] Jews to deal [G5530] likewise [G5615] the [G3588] tomorrow , so as far [G5620] the [G3588] ten [G1176] sons [G5207] of Haman to hang [G2910].
14: And [G2532] committed it [G2010] the [G3588] king so [G3779] to be [G1096]. And [G2532] he displayed [G1620] to the [G3588] Jews of the [G3588] city [G4172] the [G3588] bodies [G4983] of the [G3588] sons [G5207] of Haman to hang [G2910].
15: And [G2532] gathered together [G4863] the [G3588] Jews] in [G1722] Shushan on the [G3588] fourteenth [day [G5065] of the [G3588] Adar , and [G2532] they killed men three hundred [G5145], but [G2532] nothing [G3762] they plundered [G1283].
16: And the [G3588][G1161] rest [G3062] of the [G3588] Jews, of the [G3588] [ones] in [G1722] the [G3588] government ', gathered together [G4863] and [G2532] helped themselves [G1438], and [G2532] gained rest from the [G3588] warlike men ; for they destroyed [G1063] of them [G1473], ten-thousands [G3461] seven [G2033], [and] five thousand men [G4000] on the [G3588] thirteenth of the [G3588] Adar , but [G2532] nothing [G3762] they plundered [G1283].
17: And [G2532] they rested on the [G3588] fourteenth [G5065] of the [G3588] same [G1473] month [G3376], and [G2532] they celebrated it [G1473] as a day [G2250] of rest with [G3326] joy [G5479] and [G2532] gladness [G2167].
18: And the [G3588][G1161] Jews in [G1722] Shushan the [G3588] city [G4172] gathered together [G4863] also [G2532] on the [G3588] fourteenth [G5065] and [G2532] rested . But they celebrated [G1161] even [G2532] on the [G3588] fifteenth [G4003] with [G3326] joy [G5479] and [G2532] gladness [G2167].
19: Because of [G1223] this [G3778] then [G3767] the [G3588] Jews, the [G3588] [ones] being disseminated [G1289] in [G1722] every [G3956] place [G5561] the [G3588] outside [G1854], celebrate on the [G3588] fourteenth [G5065] of the [G3588] Adar , day [G2250] a good with [G3326] gladness [G2167], sending portions [G3310] each [G1538] [to his the [G3588] neighbor [G4139].
20: wrote [G1125] And [G1161] Mordecai the [G3588] words [G3056] these [G3778] in [G1519] a scroll and [G2532] sent [them [G1821] to the [G3588] Jews, as many as [G3745] were in [G1722] the [G3588] kingdom of Artaxerxes , to the [G3588] [ones] near [G1451] and [G2532] to the [G3588] [ones] far [G3112];
21: to establish [G2476] the [G3588]se days [G2250][G3778] [as] good [days , and to celebrate both [G5037] the [G3588] fourteenth [G5065] and [G2532] the [G3588] fifteenth [G4003] of the [G3588] Adar .
22: For in [G1722][G1063] these [G3778] the [G3588] days [G2250] gained rest the [G3588] Jews] from the [G3588]ir enemies [G2190][G1473]. And [G2532] the [G3588] month [G3376] in [G1722] which [G3739] [things] turned [G4762] for them [G1473], which [G3739] was Adar , from mourning [G3997] to [G1519] joy [G5479], and [G2532] from grief [G3601] to [G1519] good days [G2250], [was] to celebrate entirely [G3650] for [G1519] good days [G2250] of wedding [feasts [G1062] and [G2532] gladness [G2167], sending [G1821] [gift] portions [G3310] to their the [G3588] friends [G5384] and [G2532] to the [G3588] [ones] begging [G4434].
23: And [G2532] favorably received it [G4327] the [G3588] Jews] as [G2531] wrote [G1125] to them [G1473] the [G3588] Mordecai],
24: of how [G4459] Haman [son of] Hammedatha the [G3588] Macedonian waged war [G4170] against them [G1473]; as [G2531] he ordained [G5087] a referendum and [G2532] lot [G2819], to obliterate them [G1473];
25: and [G2532] how [G5613] he entered [G1525] to [G4314] the [G3588] king , telling [him [G3004] to hang [G2910] the [G3588] Mordecai. But as much as [G3745][G1161] he attempted [G2021] to bring [G1863] upon [G1909] the [G3588] Jews bad [things] [G2556], upon [G1909] himself [G1473] it came to pass [G1096]; and [G2532] he was hanged [G2910], he [G1473] and [G2532] the [G3588] his children [G5043][G1473].
26: On account of [G1223] this [G3778] they call [G1941] the [G3588]se days [G2250][G3778] Purim because [G1223] of the [G3588] lots [G2819], (for [G3754] [in the [G3588]ir dialect [G1258][G1473] they [are] called [G2564] purim) , because of [G1223] the [G3588] words [G3056] of the [G3588] this letter [G1992][G3778], and [G2532] as much as [G3745] they suffered [G3958] on account of [G1223] it [G1473], and [G2532] as much as [G3745] happened to them [G1473][G1096] and [G2532] was stopped [G2476].
27: And [G2532] favorably received [it [G4327] the [G3588] Jews] for [G1909] themselves [G1438], and [G2532] for [G1909] the [G3588]ir seed [G4690][G1473], and [G2532] for [G1909] the [G3588] [ones] purposed [G4388] unto [G1909] them [to observe it [G1473] -- nor [G3761] in fact [G3375] otherwise will they treat [it [G5530]. And the [G3588][G1161] these days [G2250][G3778] [were] a memorial [G3422] being completed [G2005] according to [G2596] generation [G1074] and [G2532] generation [G1074], and [G2532] city [G4172], and [G2532] family [G3965], and [G2532] place [G5561].
28: the [G3588] And [G1161] these days [G2250][G3778] were celebrated for [G1519] the [G3588] all time [G5550], and [G2532] the [G3588]ir memorial [G3422][G1473] in no way should fail [G1587] unto [G2193] generations [G1074].
29: And [G2532] wrote [G1125] Esther the [G3588] queen daughter [G2364] of Abihail], and [G2532] Mordecai the [G3588] Jew, as much as [G3745] they did [G4160], and the [G3588][G2532] structure [G4733] of the [G3588] letter [G1992] of the [G3588] purim .

31: And [G2532] Mordecai and [G2532] Esther the [G3588] queen they established [G2476] to themselves [G1438] for [G2596] themselves [G1438]; and [G2532] then [G5119] establishing [G2476] according to [G2596] the [G3588]ir fasting [G3521][G1473] and [G2532] the [G3588]ir counsel [G1012][G1473].
32: And [G2532] Esther word '[G3056] established [G2476] for [G1519] the [G3588] age (term) `, and [G2532] it was written [G1125] for [G1519] a memorial [G3422].
