Ecclesiastes Chapter 4 - | Early Church Bible

1: And [G2532] I turned [G1994][G1473] and [G2532] I looked [at] [G1492] all the [G3588] extortions , the [G3588] [ones] happening [G1096] under [G5259] the [G3588] sun [G2246]. And [G2532] look [G2400], tear [G1144] of the [G3588] [ones] being extorted [G4811], and [G2532] there not [G3756] is one comforting them [G1473] the [G3588][G3870]. And [G2532] by hand [G5495] of ones extorting [G4811] them [G1473] was by strength [G2479], and [G2532] there not [G3756] is one comforting them [G1473][G3870].
2: And [G2532] I praised [G1867][G1473] all of the [G3588] [ones] having died [G2348] of the [G3588] [ones] already [G2235] dying more than [G5228] the [G3588] living [G2198], as many as [G3745][G1473] live [G2198] until [G2193] the [G3588] present [G3568].
3: And [G2532] better above [G5228] the [G3588]se two [G1417][G3778] which [G3748] not yet [G3768] was born [G1096], which [G3739] knew not [G3756][G1492] all the [G3588] action [G4161] the [G3588] evil [G4190] the [G3588] being done [G4160] under [G5259] the [G3588] sun [G2246].
4: And [G2532] I looked [at] [G1492][G1473] all the [G3588] effort [G3449], and [G2532] all courage of the [G3588] action [G4161]; for [G3754] the same [G1473] zeal [G2205] of man [is] from the [G3588] his companion [G2083][G1473]. And [G2532] indeed [G1065] this [G3778] [is] folly [G3153] and [G2532] resolve of wind/spirit/breathing '[G4151].
5: The [G3588] fool embraces the [G3588] his hands [G5495][G1473], and [G2532] eats [G2068] the [G3588] his flesh [G4561][G1473].
6: Better full [G4138] a handful of rest , than [G5228] full [G4138] two [G1417] handfuls of trouble [G3449] and [G2532] resolve of wind/spirit/breathing '[G4151].
7: And [G2532] I turned [G1994][G1473], and [G2532] I saw [G1492] folly [G3153] under [G5259] the [G3588] sun [G2246].
8: There is one [alone [G1520], and [G2532] there not [G3756] is a second [G1208]; and [G2532] indeed [G1065], son [G5207] nor [G2532] indeed [G1065] a brother there is no [G3756] to him [G1473]. And [G2532] there is no [G3756] limit the [G3588] to all [G3956] his effort [G3449][G1473]; and [G2532] indeed [G1065] his eye [G3788][G1473] is not [G3756] satisfied [G1705] of riches [G4149]; and [saying [G2532], Why [G5100] do I [G1473] make an effort , and [G2532] deprive the [G3588] soul [G5590] of me [G1473] off goodness ? And [G2532] indeed [G1065], this [G3778] folly [G3153] and [G2532] distraction an evil [G4190] is .
9: Better the [G3588] two [G1417] than [G5228] the [G3588] [one] [G1520], in which [G3739] there is to them [G1473] wage [G3408] a good in [G1722] their effort [G3449][G1473].
10: For [G3754] if [G1437] they should fall [G4098], the [G3588] [one] [G1520] will raise [G1453] the [G3588] his partner [G3353][G1473]. But [G2532] woe [G3759] to him [G1473], to the [G3588] [one] [G1520], whenever [G3752] he should fall [G4098] and [G2532] there should not be [G3361] a second [G1208] the [G3588] to raise [G1453] him [G1473].
11: And [G2532] if [G1437] should go to bed [G2837] the [G3588] two [G1417] and [G2532] heat [G2329] themselves [G1473], then [G2532] the [G3588] [one] [G1520], how [G4459] will he heat [himself [G2328]?
12: And [G2532] if [G1437] one prevails against the [G3588] [one] [G1520], the [G3588] two [G1417] will stand [G2476] against [G2713] him [G1473]. And [G2532] the [G3588] cord the [G3588] three-stranded will not [G3756] be quickly [G5030] ripped apart .
13: Better child [G3816] a needy [G3993] and [G2532] wise [G4680], than [G5228] king an older [G4245] and [G2532] foolish who [G3739] does not [G3756] know [G1097] the [G3588] to take heed [G4337] any longer [G2089].
14: For [G3754] from out of [G1537] house [G3624] of the [G3588] prisoners [G1198] he will come forth [G1831] the [G3588] to reign , for [G3754] even [G2532] indeed [G1065] in [G1722] his government '[G1473] he was [G1096] needy [G3993].
15: I looked [at] [G1492] all of the [G3588] living [G2198], of the [G3588] [ones] walking [G4043] under [G5259] the [G3588] sun [G2246], with [G3326] the [G3588] young [G3495] of the [G3588] second [generation [G1208] who [G3739] will stand [G2476] in place of him [G1473].
16: There is no [G3756] limit the [G3588] to all [G3956] people [G2992], the [G3588] to all [G3956] as many as [G3745] was [G1096] before [G1715] them [G1473]; and [G2532] indeed [G1065], the [G3588] last [G2078] will not [G3756] be glad [G2165] in [G1722] himself [G1473]. For [G3754] even [G2532] indeed [G1065] this [G3778] [is] folly [G3153] and [G2532] resolve of wind/spirit/breathing '[G4151].
