Daniel Chapter 6 - | Early Church Bible

1: And [G2532] it was pleasing before [G1799] Darius, and [G2532] he placed [G2525] over [G1909] the [G3588] government ' satraps a hundred [G1540] twenty [G1501], the [G3588] [for] them to be [G1473] in [G1722] entire [G3650] the [G3588] government ' of him '[G1473].
2: And [G2532] above [G1883] them [G1473] tacticians three [G5140], which [G3739] Daniel was one [G1520] of [G1537] them [G1473], for the [G3588] to render to them [G1473] the [G3588] satraps a reckoning [G3056], so that [G3704] the [G3588] king should not [G3361] be troubled [G1776].
3: And [G2532] Daniel was over [G5228] them [G1473], for [G3754] wind/spirit/breathing '[G4151] extra [G4053] was in [G1722] him [G1473], and [G2532] the [G3588] king placed [G2525] him [G1473] over [G1909] entire [G3650] the [G3588] government ' of him '[G1473].
4: And [G2532] the [G3588] tacticians and [G2532] the [G3588] satraps sought [G2212] an excuse [G4392] to find [something [G2147] against [G2596] Daniel; and [G2532] any [G3956] excuse [G4392], or [G2532] transgression [G3900], or [G2532] error they did not [G3756] find [G2147] against [G2596] him [G1473], for [G3754] he was trustworthy [G4103].
5: And [G2532] said [G2036] the [G3588] tacticians , We did not find [G3756][G2147] against [G2596] Daniel an excuse [G4392] unless [it be [G1508] in [G1722] laws of his God '[G2316][G1473].
6: Then [G5119] the [G3588] tacticians , and [G2532] the [G3588] satraps stood beside [G3936] the [G3588] king . And [G2532] they said [G2036] to him [G1473], O king Darius, into [G1519] the [G3588] ages (terms) ` live [G2198]!
7: took counsel [G4823] All [G3956] the [G3588] [ones] over [G1909] the [G3588] your government '[G1473] -- commandants [G4755], and [G2532] satraps , supreme [leaders , and [G2532] toparchs , the [G3588] to establish [G2476] position [G4714] a royal , and [G2532] to strengthen [G1765] an enactment , so that [G3704] whoever [G3739][G1437] should ask a request from [G3844] any [G3956] god [G2316] or [G2532] man , for [G2193] days [G2250] thirty [G5144], except from [G3844] you [G1473], O king , will be put [G1685] into [G1519] the [G3588] pit of the [G3588] lions [G3023].
8: Now [G3568] then [G3767], O king , establish [G2476] the [G3588] enactment , and [G2532] display [G1620] in writing [G1124] how [G3704] should not [G3361] be changed the [G3588] decree [G1378] of Persians and [G2532] Medes]!
9: Then [G5119] the [G3588] king Darius gave orders [G2004] to write [G1125] the [G3588] decree [G1378].
10: And [G2532] when Daniel [G2259] knew [G1097] that [G3754] was arranged the [G3588] decree [G1378], he went [G1525] into [G1519] the [G3588] his house [G3624][G1473], and [G2532] the [G3588] windows [G2376] were open to him [G1473] in [G1722] the [G3588] his upper rooms [G5253][G1473] before [G2713] Jerusalem. And [G2532] times [G2540] three [G5140] of the [G3588] day [G2250] he was bending [G2578] upon [G1909] the [G3588] his knees [G1119][G1473], and [G2532] praying [G4336], and [G2532] making acknowledgment [G1843] before [G1726] the [G3588] God '[G2316] of him [G1473], as [G2531] he was doing [G4160] before [G1715].
11: Then [G5119] the [G3588] those men [G1565] closely watched [G3906], and [G2532] they found [G2147] the [G3588] Daniel petitioning and [G2532] beseeching [G1189] the [G3588] God '[G2316] of him [G1473].
12: And [G2532] coming forward [G4334], they say [G3004] to the [G3588] king , O king , did you not [G3756] an enactment order [G5021] so that [G3704] every [G3956] man who [G3739] ever should ask from [G3844] any [G3956] God '[G2316] or [G2532] man a request unto [G2193] days [G2250] thirty [G5144], except from [G3844] you [G1473], O king , will be put [G1685] into [G1519] the [G3588] pit of the [G3588] lions [G3023]? And [G2532] said [G2036] the [G3588] king , [is] true the [G3588] word [G3056], and [G2532] the [G3588] decree [G1378] of Medes and [G2532] Persians will not [G3756] pass [G3928].
13: Then [G5119] they responded , and [G2532] they spoke [G3004] before [G1799] the [G3588] king , [saying], Daniel, the one [G3739] from the [G3588] sons [G5207] of the [G3588] captivity of the [G3588] Judea was not [G3756] submitted [G5293] [to the [G3588] your decree [G1378][G1473]; and [G2532] times [G2540] three [G5140] of the [G3588] day [G2250] he asks of [G3844] the [G3588] God '[G2316] of him [G1473] the [G3588] requests of of him '[G1473].
14: Then [G5119] the [G3588] king , as [G5613] he heard the [G3588] saying [G4487], much [G4183] fretted [G3076] over [G1909] him [G1473]; and [G2532] concerning [G4012] the [G3588] Daniel he struggled the [G3588] to rescue [G1807] him [G1473], and [G2532] until [G2193] evening [G2073] he was struggling the [G3588] to rescue [G1807] him [G1473].
15: Then [G5119] the [G3588] those men [G1565] say [G3004] to the [G3588] king , Know [G1097], O king ! that [G3754] the [G3588] decree [G1378] of Medes and [G2532] Persians, the [G3588] every [G3956] enactment and [G2532] position [G4714] which [G3739] the [G3588] king will establish [G2476] must not [G3756][G1163] be altered .
16: Then [G5119] the [G3588] king spoke [G2036], and [G2532] they conveyed ' the [G3588] Daniel, and [G2532] they put [G1685] him [G1473] into [G1519] the [G3588] pit of the [G3588] lions [G3023]. But [G2532] said [G2036] the [G3588] king [to the [G3588] Daniel, the [G3588] Your God '[G2316][G1473] in whom [G3739] you [G1473] serve [G3000] continually , he [G1473] will rescue [G1807] you [G1473].
17: And [G2532] they brought [G5342] stone [G3037] one [G1520], and [G2532] they placed [it [G2007] upon [G1909] the [G3588] mouth [G4750] of the [G3588] pit , and [G2532] set seal on it [G4972] the [G3588] king with [G1722] the [G3588] his ring [G1146][G1473], and [G2532] with [G1722] the [G3588] ring [G1146] of the [G3588] his great men [G3175][G1473]; so that [G3704] should not [G3361] be changed thing [G4229] with [regard [G1722] the [G3588] to Daniel.
18: And [G2532] went forth the [G3588] king unto [G1519] the [G3588] his house [G3624][G1473], and [G2532] he went to bed [G2837] supperless ; and [G2532] food was not [G3756] carried in [G1533] to him [G1473], and [G2532] the [G3588] sleep [G5258] left from him [G1473].
19: Then [G5119] the [G3588] king rose up in the morning [G4404] at [G1722] the [G3588] light [G5457]. And [G2532] in [G1722] haste [G4710] he came [G2064] unto [G1909] the [G3588] pit of the [G3588] lions [G3023].
20: And [G2532] at [G1722] the [G3588] his approaching [G1448][G1473] to the [G3588] pit to the [G3588] Daniel he yelled voice [G5456] a strong [G2478], Daniel, O the [G3588] servant [G1401] of the [G3588] living God '[G2316] the [G3588][G2198], the [G3588] your God '[G2316][G1473] in whom [G3739] you [G1473] serve [G3000] continually , was [G1487] he able [G1410] to rescue [G1807] you [G1473] from out of [G1537] mouth [G4750] of the [G3588] lions [G3023]?
21: And [G2532] Daniel said [G2036] to the [G3588] king , O king , into [G1519] the [G3588] ages (terms) ` live [G2198]!
22: the [G3588] God '[G2316] of me [G1473] sent the [G3588] his word-conveyer (messenger) '[G1473], and [G2532] he obstructed the [G3588] mouths [G4750] of the [G3588] lions [G3023], and [G2532] they did not [G3756] lay me waste [G3075][G1473]; for [G3754] before [G2713] him [G1473] uprightness [G2118] was found [G2147] in [G1722] me [G1473]; and [G2532] even before [G1799][G1161] you [G1473], O king , a transgression [G3900] I did not [G3756] commit [G4160].
23: Then [G5119] the [G3588] king [felt] much [G4183] good over [G1909] him [G1473], and [G2532] the [G3588] spoke for Daniel [G2036] to be brought from out of [G1537] the [G3588] pit . And [G2532] they bore Daniel from out of [G1537] the [G3588] pit , and [G2532] all [G3956] hurt [G1312] was not found [G3756][G2147] on [G1722] him [G1473], for [G3754] he trusted '[G4100] in [G1722] the [G3588] God '[G2316] of him [G1473].
24: And [G2532] spoke [G2036] the [G3588] king , and [G2532] they conveyed ' the [G3588] men , the [G3588] [ones] accusing [G1225] the [G3588] Daniel, and [G2532] into [G1519] the [G3588] pit of the [G3588] lions [G3023] they put [G1685] them [G1473], and [G2532] the [G3588]ir sons [G5207][G1473], and [G2532] the [G3588]ir wives [G1135][G1473]. And [G2532] they did not [G3756] come [G5348] unto [G1519] the [G3588] floor [G1475] of the [G3588] pit before [G2193][G3739] dominated [G2961] them [G1473] the [G3588] lions [G3023], and [G2532] all [G3956] of the [G3588]ir bones [G3747][G1473] made fine .
25: Then [G5119] Darius the [G3588] king wrote [G1125] to all [G3956] the [G3588] peoples [G2992], tribes [G5443], [and] languages [G1100], to the [G3588] [ones] living [G3611] in [G1722] all [G3956] the [G3588] land '[G1093], [saying], Peace [G1515] be multiplied unto you [G1473][G4129].
26: From [G1537] my presence [G4383][G1473] I made [G5087] a decree [G1378] for the [G3588] [one] in [G1722] every [G3956] rule of the [G3588] my government '[G1473] to be trembling [G5141] and [G2532] fearing [G5399] from face [G4383] of the [G3588] God '[G2316] of Daniel. For [G3754] he [G1473] is living God '[G2316][G2198], and [G2532] one abiding [G3306] into [G1519] the [G3588] ages (terms) `, and [G2532] the [G3588] his government '[G1473] will not [G3756] be destroyed [G1311], and [G2532] the [G3588] his dominion [G1473] [is] unto [G2193] end [G5056].
27: He takes hold of and [G2532] he rescues [G4506], and [G2532] he produces [G4160] signs [G4592] and [G2532] miracles [G5059] in [G1722] the [G3588] raised-place-above (sky) '[G3772] and [G2532] upon [G1909] the [G3588] land '[G1093], who [G3748] rescued [G1807] the [G3588] Daniel from [G1537] mouth [G4750] of the [G3588] lions [G3023].
28: And [G2532] Daniel prospered [G2720] during [G1722] the [G3588] government ' of Darius, and [G2532] during [G1722] the [G3588] government ' of Cyrus ["Boss" [G2962] the [G3588] Persian.
