1: And after [G3326][G1161] five [G4002] days [G2250] there came down [G2597] the [G3588] chief priest Ananias with [G3326] the [G3588] elders [G4245], and [G2532] a rhetorician [G4489], a certain Tertullus [G5100], who [G3748] revealed [themselves [G1718] to the [G3588] governor [G2232] against [G2596] the [G3588] Paul.
2: And having been called [G2564][G1161], himself [G1473] began to charge [G2723] the [G3588] Tertullus], saying [G3004], Great [G4183] peace [G1515] is happening [G5177] through [G1223] you [G1473], and [G2532] great feats [G2735] [are] happening [G1096] [to the [G3588] this tradition-people (ethnic) '[G1484][G3778] because of [G1223] the [G3588] your [G4674] forethought [G4307],
3: both totally [G3839][G5037] and [G2532] everywhere [G3837] we receive [it] gladly , most excellent [G2903] Felix, with [G3326] all [G3956] thankfulness [G2169].
4: But so that [G2443][G1161] should not [G3361] upon [G1909] much more [G4183] you [G1473] I hinder [G1465], I appeal [G3870] [for] you to hear [G1473] us [G1473] so suddenly [G4935] in the [G3588] your [G4674] clemency [G1932].
5: For having found [G2147][G1063] the [G3588] this man [G3778] mischievous [G3061], and [G2532] moving [G2795] insurrection [G4714] among all [G3956] the [G3588] Jews the [G3588] in [G2596] the [G3588] habitable world [G3611], and front rank [G4414][G5037] of of the [G3588] [G3588] Nazarenes sect ;
6: who [G3739] also [G2532] the [G3588] temple [G2413] attempted [G3985] to profane , whom [G3739] also [G2532] we seized [G2902], and [G2532] according to [G2596] the [G3588] our [G2251] law [G3551] we wanted [G2309] to judge [G2919].
7: having come by [G3928] But [G1161] Lysias the [G3588] commander [G5506] [with] a great [G4183] force from out of [G1537] the [G3588] our hands [G5495][G1473] took [him ,
8: bidding [G2753] the [G3588] his accusers [G2725][G1473] to come [G2064]; from [G3844] whom [G3739] you will be able [G1410], he [G1473] having questioned , concerning [G4012] all [G3956] these [things] [G3778], to realize [G1921] what [G3739] we [G1473] accuse [G2723] him [G1473].
9: joined in making an attack And [G1161] also [G2532] the [G3588] Jews], maintaining [G5335] these [things] [G3778] thus [G3779] to suffice [G2192].
10: responded And [G1161] the [G3588] Paul], nodding [G3506] to him [G1473] of the [G3588] governor [G2232] to speak, [saying [G3004], For [G1537] many [G4183] years [G2094] you being [G1473] judge [G2923] [to the [G3588] this tradition-people (ethnic) '[G1484][G3778]; knowing [this [G1987], more cheerfully [G2115] the [things] [G3588] concerning [G4012] myself [G1683] I make a defense .
11: You being able [G1410][G1473] to know [G1097] that [G3754] not [G3756] more than [G4183] there were to me [G1473] days [G2250] twelve [G1177] from which [G3739] I went up to do obeisance [G4352] into [G1519] Jerusalem,
12: and [G2532] neither [G3777] in [G1722] the [G3588] temple [G2413] did they find [G2147] me [G1473] with [G4314] anyone [G5100] reasoning [G1256], or [G2228] a conspiracy [G1999] causing [G4160] of a crowd [G3793], neither [G3777] in [G1722] the [G3588] synagogues [G4864], nor [G3777] in [G2596] the [G3588] city [G4172];
13: nor [G3777] to render [proof [G3936] are they able [G1410] concerning [G4012] which [G3739] now [G3568] they charge [G2723] me [G1473].
14: But I acknowledge [G3670] this [G3778] to you [G1473], that [G3754] according to [G2596] the [G3588] way [G3598], which [G3739] they call [G3004] a sect , so [G3779] I serve [G3000] to the [G3588] paternal [G3971] God '[G2316], trusting '[G4100] in all [things] [G3956] the [G3588] according to [G2596] the [G3588] law [G3551] and [G2532] to the [things] [G3588] in prophets [G4396] having been written [G1125],
15: a hope [G1680] having [G2192] in [G1519] the [G3588] God '[G2316]; which [G3739] also [G2532] they [G1473] themselves [G3778] wait for [G4327] -- a resurrection about [G3195] to be of dead [G3498], both of just [G1342][G5037] and [G2532] unjust .
16: And in this [G1722][G3778][G1161] I discipline myself [G1473], not causing [anyone] to stumble , a conscience [G4893] having [G2192] towards [G4314] the [G3588] God '[G2316] and [G2532] the [G3588] men continually [G1275].
17: after [G1223] years [G2094] And [G1161] more [G4183] I came [G3854] charity [G1654] offering [G4160] to [G1519] the [G3588] my tradition-people (ethnic) '[G1484][G1473], and [G2532] offerings [G4376];
18: in [G1722] which [G3739] they found [G2147] me [G1473] purified in [G1722] the [G3588] temple [G2413], not [G3756] with [G3326] a crowd [G3793], nor [G3761] with [G3326] a tumult [G2351]. But certain [G5100][G1161] from the [G3588] Asia Jews],
19: whom [G3739] must [G1163] before [G1909] you [G1473] be at hand [G3918], and [G2532] to charge [G2723], if anything [G1536] they may have [G2192] against [G4314] me [G1473];
20: and [G2228] these [G1473] themselves [G3778] let] speak [G2036]! if [G1487] they found anything [G5100][G2147] in [G1722] me [G1473] for an offence , with my standing [G2476][G1473] before [G1909] the [G3588] sanhedrin [G4892];
21: [other] than [G2228] concerning [G4012] this one [G1520][G3778] voice [G5456] which [G3739] I cried out [G2896] standing [G2476] among [G1722] them [G1473], that [G3754], Concerning [G4012] a resurrection of dead [G3498] I [G1473] am judged [G2919] today [G4594] by [G5259] you [G1473].
22: And hearing [G1161] these [things] [G3778], the [G3588] Felix postponed them [G1473], more exactly knowing [G1492] the [things] [G3588] concerning [G4012] the [G3588] way [G3598], having said [G2036], Whenever [G3752] Lysias the [G3588] commander [G5506] should come down [G2597], I will determine [G1231] the [things] [G3588] as to you [G2596][G1473].
23: And having given orders [G1299][G5037] to the [G3588] centurion [G1543] to keep [G5083] the [G3588] Paul, and to [let him] have [G2192][G5037] relaxation , and [G2532] for no one [G3367] to restrain [G2967] his own [people the [G3588][G2398][G1473] to assist [G5256] or [G2228] to come forward [G4334] to him [G1473].
24: And after [G3326][G1161] some days [G2250][G5100], Felix having come [G3854] the [G3588] with [G4862] Drusilla the [G3588] his wife [G1135][G1473], being Jewish, he fetched [G3343] the [G3588] Paul, and [G2532] he heard him [G1473] concerning [G4012] the [G3588] in [G1519] Anointed "'[G5547] trust '[G4102].
25: reasoning [G1256] And [G1161] of of him '[G1473] concerning [G4012] righteousness [G1343], and [G2532] self-control [G1466], and [G2532] the [G3588] judgment [G2917] the [G3588] about [G3195] to be , thrown into fear [G1719] becoming [G1096] the [G3588] Felix] responded , For now the [G3588][G3568] it suffices [G2192], go [G4198]! but a time [G2540][G1161] for sharing [G3335] I will call you back [G3333][G1473].
26: But at the same time [G1161] also [G2532] hoping [G1679] that [G3754] things [G5536] will be given [G1325] to him [G1473] by [G5259] the [G3588] Paul, so that [G3704] he should loose [G3089] him [G1473]; therefore [G1352] also [G2532] more frequently [G4437] fetching him [G1473][G3343], he consorted [G3656] with him [G1473].
27: And a space of two years [G1333][G1161] having been fulfilled [G4137], received [G2983] as a successor [G1240] the [G3588] Felix], Porcius Festus. And wanting [G2309][G5037] favors [G5484] to be laid away [G2698] with the [G3588] Jews, the [G3588] Felix left [G2641] the [G3588] Paul bound [G1210].
