2 Kings Chapter 8 - | Early Church Bible

1: And [G2532] Elisha spoke [G2980] to [G4314] the [G3588] woman [G1135] of whom [G3739] was enlivened the [G3588] son [G5207], saying [G3004], Rise up and [G2532] go [G4198], you [G1473] and [G2532] the [G3588] your household [G3624][G1473], and [G2532] sojourn [G3939] of which [G3739] ever [place] [G1437] you should [want to] sojourn [G3939]! for [G3754] Boss '[G2962] has called [G2564] a famine [G3042] upon [G1909] the [G3588] land '[G1093]; and [G2532] it will be at hand [G3918] upon [G1909] the [G3588] land '[G1093] [for] seven [G2033] years [G2094].
2: And [G2532] rose up the [G3588] woman [G1135], and [G2532] did [G4160] according to [G2596] the [G3588] saying [G4487] of the [G3588] man of the [G3588] God '[G2316]. And [G2532] she went [G4198][G1473] and [G2532] the [G3588] her household [G3624][G1473], and [G2532] sojourned [G3939] in [G1722] land '[G1093] of philistines seven [G2033] years [G2094].
3: And [G2532] it came to pass [G1096] after [G3326] the [G3588] end [G5056] of the [G3588] seven [G2033] years [G2094], that [G2532] returned [G1994] the [G3588] woman [G1135] from out of [G1537] land '[G1093] of philistines . And [G2532] she went [G2064] to yell to [G4314] the [G3588] king on account of [G4012] the [G3588] her house [G3624][G1473], and [G2532] on account of [G4012] the [G3588] her fields [G1473].
4: And [G2532] the [G3588] king spoke [G2980] to [G4314] Gehazi the [G3588] servant [G3808] of Elisha, the [G3588] man of the [G3588] God '[G2316], saying [G3004], Describe [G1334] indeed [G1211] to me [G1473]! all [G3956] the [G3588] great [things] [G3173] which [G3739] Elisha did [G4160].
5: And [G2532] it came to pass [G1096], of of him '[G1473] describing [G1834] to the [G3588] king of how [G5613] he enlivened son [G5207] having died [G2348], that [G2532] look [G2400], the [G3588] woman [G1135] of whom [G3739] he enlivened the [G3588] her son [G5207][G1473] [came] yelling to [G4314] the [G3588] king concerning [G4012] the [G3588] her house [G3624][G1473] and [G2532] concerning [G4012] the [G3588] her fields [G1473]. And [G2532] Gehazi said [G2036], O boss [G2962], O king , this [is [G3778] the [G3588] woman [G1135], and [G2532] this [is [G3778] the [G3588] her son [G5207][G1473] whom [G3739] Elisha enlivened .
6: And [G2532] asked [G1905] the [G3588] king the [G3588] woman [G1135], and [G2532] she described [G1334] to him [G1473]. And [G2532] appointed [G1325] to her [G1473] the [G3588] king eunuch [G2135] one [G1520], saying [G3004], Return [G1994] all [G3956] the [things] [G3588] of hers [G1473], and [G2532] all [G3956] of the [G3588]fspring [G1081] of the [G3588] her field [G1473] from the [G3588] day [G2250] of which [G3739] she left [G2641] the [G3588] land '[G1093] until [G2193] the [G3588] present [G3568].
7: And [G2532] Elisha came [G2064] unto [G1519] Damascus. And [G2532] the [G3588] son [G5207] of Hadad king of Syria was infirm . And [G2532] they announced to him [G1473], saying [G3004], comes [G2240] the [G3588] man of the [G3588] God '[G2316] unto [G2193] here [G5602].
8: And [G2532] said [G2036] the [G3588] king to [G4314] Hazael, Take [G2983] in [G1722] the [G3588] your hand [G5495][G1473] a gift , and [G2532] go [G1204] for [G1519] a meeting with the [G3588] man of the [G3588] God '[G2316], and [G2532] seek anxiously [G1934] the [G3588] [of the] Boss '[G2962] through [G1161] him [G1473], saying [G3004], will [G1487] I live [G2198] from out of [G1537] the [G3588] my illness [G1473] this [G3778]?
9: And [G2532] Hazael went [G4198] to [G1519] meet him [G1473], and [G2532] he took [G2983] a gift in [G1722] the [G3588] his hand [G5495][G1473] of [G1537] all [G3956] the [G3588] good [things] of Damascus, a tribute of forty [G5062] camels [G2574]. And [G2532] he came [G2064] and [G2532] stood [G2476] before him [G1799][G1473], and [G2532] said [G2036], the [G3588] Your son [G5207][G1473], son [G5207] of Hadad king of Syria sent me [G1473] to [G4314] you [G1473], saying [G3004], will [G1487] I live [G2198] from out of [G1537] the [G3588] my illness [G1473] this [G3778]?
10: And [G2532] said [G2036] to [G4314] him [G1473] Elisha], Go [G4198], say [G2036] to him [G1473], To life [G2222] you will live [G2198]! But [G2532] showed [G1166] to me [G1473] Boss '[G2962] that [G3754] to death [G2288] he will die .
11: And [G2532] Hazael stood [G2476] in front [G2596][G4383] of him [G1473], and [G2532] he placed [G3908] before [G1799] him [G1473] the [G3588] gifts [G1435] until [G2193] he was ashamed . And [G2532] wept [G2799] the [G3588] man of the [G3588] God '[G2316].
12: And [G2532] Hazael said [G2036], Why [is it [G5100] that [G3754] the [G3588] my boss [G2962][G1473] weeps [G2799]? And [G2532] he said [G2036] that [G3754], I have looked [at] [G1492] as many [things] as [G3745] you will do [G4160] to the [G3588] sons [G5207] of Israel -- bad [things] [G2556]. the [G3588]ir fortresses [G3794][G1473] You will send [G1821] [up] in [G1722] fire [G4442], and [G2532] the [G3588]ir chosen ones [G1588][G1473] you will kill by [G1722] broadsword [G4501], and [G2532] the [G3588]ir infants [G3516][G1473] you will dash [G1473], and [G2532] the [G3588] [ones] one in [G1722] womb [G1064] having [G2192] of them [G1473] you will tear apart [G1284].
13: And [G2532] Hazael said [G2036], What [G5100] is the [G3588] your servant [G1401][G1473], the [G3588] dog [G2965] the [G3588] having died [G2348], that [G3754] he will do [G4160] the [G3588] thing [G4487] the [G3588] this great [G3173][G3778]? And [G2532] Elisha said [G2036], showed [G1166] to me [G1473] Boss '[G2962] you [G1473] reigning over [G1909] Syria.
14: And [G2532] he went forth from Elisha, and [G2532] came [G2064] to [G4314] the [G3588] his boss [G2962][G1473]. And [G2532] he said [G2036] to him [G1473], What [G5100] said [G2036] Elisha to you [G1473]? And [G2532] he said [G2036], He said [G2036] to me [G1473], To life [G2222] you will live [G2198].
15: And [G2532] it came to pass [G1096] in the [G3588] next day [G1887], and [G2532] he took [G2983] the [G3588] a rag , and [G2532] he dipped it [G1473] in [G1722] the [G3588] water [G5204], and [G2532] put [it [G4016] upon [G1909] the [G3588] his face [G4383][G1473], and [G2532] he died . And [G2532] Hazael reigned instead of him [G1473].
16: In [G1722] year [G2094] fifth [G3991] the [G3588] of Jehoram son [G5207] of Ahab king of Israel, reigned Jehoram son [G5207] of Jehoshaphat king of Judah].
17: a son [G5207] of thirty [G5144] and [G2532] two [G1417] years [old [G2094] He was in [G1722] the [G3588] his taking reign [G1473]. And [G2532] eight [G3638] years [G2094] he reigned in [G1722] Jerusalem.
18: And [G2532] he went [G4198] in [G1722] way [G3598] of kings of Israel, as [G2531] did [G4160] house [G3624] of Ahab; for [G3754] daughter [G2364] of Ahab was of him '[G1473][G1519] wife [G1135]. And [G2532] he did [G4160] the [G3588] wicked [thing] [G4190] before [G1799] Boss '[G2962].
19: And [G2532] did not [G3756] want [G2309] Boss '[G2962] to corrupt [G1311] the [G3588] Judah because of [G1223] David the [G3588] his servant [G1401][G1473]; as [G2531] he said [G2036] to give [G1325] to him [G1473] the [G3588] lamp [G3088] and [G2532] [to the [G3588] his sons [G5207][G1473] all [G3956] the [G3588] days [G2250].
20: In [G1722] the [G3588] his days [G2250][G1473] Edom annulled [allegiance from beneath hand [G5495] of Judah, and [G2532] they gave reign to over [G1909] themselves [G1438] a king .
21: And [G2532] Jehoram went up into [G1519] Zair, and [G2532] all [G3956] the [G3588] chariots the [G3588] with [G3326] him [G1473]. And [G2532] it happened [G1096] as [G5613] he rose up at night [G3571], that [G2532] he struck [G3960] the [G3588] Edom circling [G2944] upon [G1909] him [G1473], and [G2532] the [G3588] commanders of the [G3588] chariots . And [G2532] fled [G5343] the [G3588] people [G2992] to [G1519] the [G3588] its tents [G4638][G1473].
22: But [G2532] Edom annulled [allegiance from beneath hand [G5495] of Judah until [G2193] the [G3588] this day [G2250][G3778]. Then [G5119] Libnah annulled [allegiance in [G1722] the [G3588] that time [G2540][G1565].
23: And [G2532] the [G3588] rest [G3062] of the [G3588] words [G3056] of Jehoram, and [G2532] all [G3956] as much as [G3745] he did [G4160], look [are] not [G3756][G2400] these [G3778] written [G1125] upon [G1909] scroll of words [G3056] of the [G3588] days [G2250] of the [G3588] kings of Judah?
24: And [G2532] Jehoram slept [G2837] with [G3326] the [G3588] his fathers [G3962][G1473], and [G2532] he is entombed [G2290] with [G3326] the [G3588] his fathers [G3962][G1473] in [G1722] city [G4172] of David the [G3588] his father [G3962][G1473]. And [G2532] reigned Ahaziah son [G5207] of him [G1473] instead of him [G1473].
25: In [G1722] year [G2094] twelfth [G1428] the [G3588] of Jehoram son [G5207] of Ahab king of Israel reigned Ahaziah son [G5207] of Jehoram king of Judah].
26: [was a] son [G5207] of twenty [G1501] and [G2532] two [G1417] years [of age [G2094] Ahaziah] in [G1722] the [G3588] his taking reign [G1473]. And [G2532] he reigned a year [G1763] in [G1722] Jerusalem. And [G2532] name [G3686] of the [G3588] his mother [G3384][G1473] [was] Athaliah, daughter [G2364] of Omri king of Israel.
27: And [G2532] he went [G4198] in [G1722] way [G3598] of house [G3624] of Ahab, and [G2532] he did [G4160] the [G3588] wicked [thing] [G4190] before [G1799] Boss '[G2962], as [G2531] the [G3588] house [G3624] of Ahab, for [G3754] son-in-law of house [G3624] of Ahab he is .
28: And [G2532] he went [G4198] with [G3326] Jehoram son [G5207] of Ahab to [G1519] war [G4171] against [G3326] Hazael king of Syria in [G1722] Ramoth Gilead. And [G2532] struck [G3960] the [G3588] Syrians the [G3588] Jehoram.
29: And [G2532] returned [G1994] the [G3588] king Jehoram the [G3588] to be treated medically in [G1722] Jezreel from the [G3588] wounds [G4127] of which [G3739] struck [G3960] him [G1473] the [G3588] Syrians] in [G1722] Ramoth Gilead, during [G1722] the [G3588] his waging war [G4170][G1473] against [G3326] Hazael king of Syria. And [G2532] Ahaziah, son [G5207] of Jehoram king of Judah went down [G2597] the [G3588] to see [G1492] the [G3588] Jehoram son [G5207] of Ahab in [G1722] Jezreel, because [G3754] he was infirm [G1473].
