2 Kings Chapter 6 - | Early Church Bible

1: And [G2532] said [G2036] the [G3588] sons [G5207] of the [G3588] prophets [G4396] to [G4314] Elisha, look [G2400], indeed [G1211] the [G3588] place [G5117] in [G1722] which [G3739] we [G1473] live [G3611] before [G1799] you [G1473] [is] scant [G4728] for us [G1473].
2: We should go [G4198] indeed [G1211] unto [G2193] the [G3588] Jordan, and [G2532] we should take [G2983] from there [G1564] man [per] one [G1520] beam [G1385] one [G1520]; and [G2532] we should make [G4160] for ourselves [G1438] a shelter the [G3588] to live [G3611] there [G1563]. And [G2532] he said [G2036], Go [G4198]!
3: And [G2532] said [G2036] the [G3588] [one] [G1520], Please come [G1204] with [G3326] the [G3588] your servants [G1401][G1473]. And [G2532] he said [G2036], I [G1473] will go [G4198].
4: And [G2532] he went [G4198] with [G3326] them [G1473], and [G2532] they came [G2064] unto [G1519] the [G3588] Jordan, and [G2532] they trimmed the [G3588] wood [G3586].
5: And [G2532] it happened [G1096] [to the [G3588] [one] [G1520] casting down [G2598] the [G3588] beam [G1385], that [G2532] fell off [G1601] of [G1537] the [G3588] stick the [G3588] iron implement into [G1519] the [G3588] water [G5204]. And [G2532] he yelled , and [G2532] said [G2036], O [G5599] boss [G2962]. And [G2532] it [G1473] was hidden [G2928].
6: And [G2532] said [G2036] the [G3588] man of the [G3588] God '[G2316], Where did [G4226] it fall [G4098]? And [G2532] he showed [G1166] to him [G1473] the [G3588] place [G5117]. And [G2532] he plucked off wood [G3586] and [G2532] tossed it [G4495] there [G1563], and [G2532] floated the [G3588] iron implement .
7: And [G2532] he said [G2036], Raise it [G5312] to yourself [G4572]! And [G2532] he stretched out [G1614] the [G3588] his hand [G5495][G1473] and [G2532] took [G2983] it [G1473].
8: And [G2532] the [G3588] king of Syria was waging war [G4170] against [G1722] Israel. And [G2532] he consulted [G1011] with [G4314] the [G3588] his servants [G3816][G1473], saying [G3004], In [G1519] the [G3588] place [G5117] thus [G3592] in a certain [G5100] concealed [place] I will camp .
9: And [G2532] sent the [G3588] man of the [G3588] God '[G2316] to [G4314] the [G3588] king of Israel, saying [G3004], Guard [G5442] to not [G3361] go [G3928] by [G1722] the [G3588] this place [G5117][G3778], for [G3754] there [G1563] Syria hides [G2928].
10: And [G2532] sent the [G3588] king of Israel] to [G1519] the [G3588] place [G5117] which [G3739] told [G2036] him [G1473] the [G3588] man of the [G3588] God '[G2316]. And [G2532] he guarded [G5442] from there [G1564] not [G3756] once nor [G3761] twice [G1364].
11: And [G2532] was startled [G1839] the [G3588] soul [G2588] of the [G3588] king of Syria] on account of [G4012] the [G3588] this word [G3056][G3778]. And [G2532] he called [G2564] the [G3588] his servants [G3816][G1473], and [G2532] he said [G2036] to [G4314] them [G1473], will you not [G3756] announce to me [G1473] who [G5100] betrays [G4272] me [G1473] to the [G3588] king of Israel?
12: And [G2532] said [G2036] one [G1520] of the [G3588] his servants [G3816][G1473], Not so [G3780], O my boss [G2962][G1473], O king . For [G3754] Elisha the [G3588] prophet [G4396], the [G3588] [one] in [G1722] Israel, he announces to the [G3588] king of Israel all [G3956] the [G3588] words [G3056] which [G3739] ever [G1437] you should speak [G2980] in [G1722] the [G3588] closet [G5009] of the [G3588] your bedroom [G2846][G1473].
13: And [G2532] he said [G2036], Go [G4198], and [G2532] see [G1492] where [G4226] this one [is [G3778]! and [G2532] sending I will take [G2983] him [G1473]. And [G2532] they reported to him [G1473], saying [G3004], look [G2400], [he is] in [G1722] Dothan.
14: And [G2532] he sent horses [G2462] and [G2532] chariots , and [G2532] force [G1411] a heavy . And [G2532] they came [G2064] at night [G3571], and [G2532] surrounded [G4033] the [G3588] city [G4172].
15: And [G2532] early [G3719] the [G3588] minister [G3011] of the [G3588] man of the [G3588] God '[G2316] rose up , and [G2532] went forth [G1831]. And [G2532] look [G2400], force [G1411] [was] encircling [G2944] the [G3588] city [G4172], and [G2532] [with] horses [G2462] and [G2532] chariots . And [G2532] said [G2036] the [G3588] his servant [G3808][G1473] to [G4314] him [G1473], O [G5599] boss [G2962], what [G5100] will we do [G4160]?
16: And [G2532] Elisha said [G2036], Do not [G3361] fear [G5399], for [G3754] many [G4183] [are] the [G3588] [ones] with [G3326] us [G1473] over [G5228] the [G3588] [ones] with [G3326] them [G1473].
17: And [G2532] Elisha prayed [G4336], and [G2532] said [G2036], O Boss '[G2962], open the [G3588] his eyes [G3788][G1473], and [G2532] let him see [G1492]! And [G2532] BOSS opened wide [G1272][G2962] the [G3588] eyes [G3788] of the [G3588] young man [G3808], and [G2532] he saw [G1492]. And [G2532] look [G2400], the [G3588] raised-place (mountain) '[G3735] [was] full [G4134] of horses [G2462], and [G2532] a chariot of fire [G4442] surrounding Elisha.
18: And [G2532] they came down [G2597] to [G4314] him [G1473]. And [G2532] Elisha prayed [G4336] to [G4314] Boss '[G2962], and [G2532] said [G2036], Strike [G3960] indeed [G1211] the [G3588] this tradition-people (ethnic) '[G1484][G3778] with inability to see ! And [G2532] he struck [G3960] them [G1473] with inability to see , according to [G2596] the [G3588] saying [G4487] of Elisha.
19: And [G2532] Elisha said [G2036] to [G4314] them [G1473], This [is] not [G3780][G3778] the [G3588] city [G4172], and [G2532] this [is] not [G3756][G3778] the [G3588] way [G3598]. Come [G1205] after [G3694] me [G1473]! and [G2532] I will convey ' you [G1473] to [G4314] the [G3588] man whom [G3739] you seek [G2212]. And [G2532] he took them [G1473] to [G1519] Samaria.
20: And [G2532] it came to pass [G1096], as [G5613] he entered [G1525] into [G1519] Samaria, that [G2532] Elisha said [G2036], O Boss '[G2962], open the [G3588] eyes [G3788] of these [G3778], and [G2532] let them see [G1492]! And [G2532] BOSS opened wide [G1272][G2962] the [G3588]ir eyes [G3788][G1473], and [G2532] they saw [G1492]. And [G2532] look [G2400], they [were [G1473] in [G1722] midst [G3319] of Samaria.
21: And [G2532] said [G2036] the [G3588] king of Israel] to [G4314] Elisha, as [G5613] he looked [at] [G1492] them [G1473], will [G1487] by striking [G3960], I strike [them [G3960], O father [G3962]?
22: And [G2532] he said [G2036], You will not [G3756] strike [G3960]. Whom [G3739] you captured by [G1722] your broadsword [G4501][G1473], and [G2532] your bow [G5115][G1473] you [G1473] will strike [G3960]. Place [G3908] bread loaves and [G2532] water [G5204] before [G1799] them [G1473], and [G2532] let them eat [G2068] and [G2532] let them drink [G4095] and [G2532] let them go forth to [G4314] the [G3588]ir boss [G2962][G1473]!
23: And [G2532] he placed for [G3908] them [G1473] fete a great [G3173]. And [G2532] they ate [G2068], and [G2532] drank [G4095], and [G2532] he sent them [G1473]. And [G2532] they went forth to [G4314] the [G3588]ir boss [G2962][G1473]. And [G2532] did not proceed [G3756][G4369] still [G2089] armed [bands of Syrians the [G3588] to come [G2064] into [G1519] land '[G1093] of Israel.
24: And [G2532] it came to pass [G1096] after [G3326] these [things] [G3778], that [G2532] gathered son [G5207] of Hadad king of Syria] all [G3956] the [G3588] his camp [G3925][G1473], and [G2532] went up , and [G2532] besieged against [G1909] Samaria.
25: And [G2532] there was [G1096] famine [G3042] a great [G3173] in [G1722] Samaria. And [G2532] look [G2400], they laid siege against [G1909] it [G1473] until [G2193] of which [G3739] was [worth [G1096] head [G2776] of a donkey [G3688] eighty [G3589] shekels of silver ; and [G2532] a fourth [G5067] of the [G3588] a cab dung of doves [G4058] five [G4002] shekels of silver .
26: And [G2532] was the [G3588] king of Israel] traveling [G1279] upon [G1909] the [G3588] wall [G5038]. And [G2532] a woman [G1135] yelled to [G4314] him [G1473], saying [G3004], Deliver [us [G4982], O boss [G2962], O king !
27: And [G2532] he said [G2036] to her [G1473], Unless [G3361] delivers you [G1473][G4982] Boss '[G2962], from what place [G4159] will I deliver [G4982] you [G1473] -- from threshing-floor or [G2228] from wine vat [G3025]?
28: And [G2532] said [G2036] to her [G1473] the [G3588] king , What [G5100] is it with you [G1473]? And [G2532] she said [G2036], the [G3588] This woman [G1135][G3778] said [G2036] to me [G1473], Give [G1325] the [G3588] son [G5207] of you [G1473]! and [G2532] we will eat [G2068] him [G1473] today [G4594], and [G2532] the [G3588] my son [G5207][G1473] we will eat [G2068] tomorrow .
29: And [G2532] we boiled the [G3588] my son [G5207][G1473], and [G2532] we ate [G2068] him [G1473]. And [G2532] I said [G2036] to her [G1473] the [G3588] day [G2250] the [G3588] other , Give [G1325] the [G3588] son [G5207] of you [G1473]! for [G2532] we should eat [G2068] him [G1473]. And [G2532] she hid [G2928] the [G3588] her son [G5207][G1473].
30: And [G2532] it came to pass [G1096] as [G5613] heard the [G3588] king the [G3588] words [G3056] of the [G3588] woman [G1135], he tore [G1284] the [G3588] his garments [G2440][G1473], and [G2532] he [G1473] traveled over [G1279] upon [G1909] the [G3588] wall [G5038]. And [G2532] saw [G1492] the [G3588] people [G2992] the [G3588] sackcloth [G4526] upon [G1909] the [G3588] his flesh [G4561][G1473] inside [G2081].
31: And [G2532] he said [G2036], Thus [G3592] do [G4160] to me [G1473] the [G3588] God '[G2316], and [G2532] thus [G3592] add more [G4369], if [G1487] will stand [G2476] the [G3588] head [G2776] of Elisha son [G5207] of Shaphat] upon [G1909] him [G1473] today [G4594].
32: And [G2532] Elisha was sitting down [G2521] in [G1722] the [G3588] his house [G3624][G1473], and [G2532] the [G3588] elders [G4245] were sitting down [G2521] with [G3326] him [G1473]. And [G2532] [the king] sent a man before [G4253] his face [G4383][G1473]. But [G2532] before [G4250] coming [G2064] of the [G3588] word-conveyer (messenger) ' to [G4314] him [G1473], that [G2532] [Elisha] himself [G1473] said [G2036] to [G4314] the [G3588] elders [G4245], Do you see [G3708] that [G3754] sent the [G3588] son [G5207] of the [G3588] a murderer this [G3778] to remove the [G3588] my head [G2776][G1473]? Know [G1492] as [G5613] when should come [G2064] the [G3588] word-conveyer (messenger) ', you lock the [G3588] door [G2374], and [G2532] press against him [G1473] on [G1722] the [G3588] door [G2374]! Is not [G3780] sound [G5456] of the [G3588] feet [G4228] of the [G3588] his boss [G2962][G1473] right after him [G1473]?
33: While [G2089] he was [G1473] speaking [G2980] with [G3326] them [G1473], that [G2532] look [G2400], the [G3588] word-conveyer (messenger) ' came [G2597] to [G4314] him [G1473]. And [G2532] he said [G2036], look [G2400], this [G3778] the [G3588] evil [G2549] [is] from [G3844] Boss '[G2962], why [G5100] remain behind [G5278] for the [G3588] Boss '[G2962] any longer [G2089]?
