And [G2532] the [G3588] to Ahab [were] seventy [G1440] sons [G5207] in [G1722] Samaria. And [G2532] Jehu wrote [G1125] a scroll , and [G2532] sent [it unto [G1722] Samaria, to [G4314] the [G3588] rulers of Samaria, and [G2532] to [G4314] the [G3588] elders [G4245], and [G2532] to [G4314] the [G3588] wet-nurses of the [G3588] sons [G5207] of Ahab, saying [G3004],

And [G2532] now [G3568], whenever [G5613] comes [G2064] the [G3588] scroll this [G3778] to [G4314] you [G1473], and [G2532] with [G3326] you [G1473] [are] the [G3588] sons [G5207] of the [G3588] your boss [G2962][G1473], and [G2532] with [G3326] you [G1473] the [G3588] chariots and [G2532] the [G3588] horses [G2462], and [G2532] cities [G4172] fortified , and [G2532] weapons [G3696],

that [G2532] you will look for [G3708] the [G3588] good , and [G2532] the [G3588] upright [one among [G1722] the [G3588] sons [G5207] of the [G3588] your boss [G2962][G1473]. And [G2532] you will place [G2525] him [G1473] upon [G1909] the [G3588] throne [G2362] of the [G3588] his father [G3962][G1473], and [G2532] you will wage war [G4170] for [G5228] the [G3588] house [G3624] of the [G3588] your boss [G2962][G1473].

And [G2532] they feared [G5399] exceedingly [G4970], and [G2532] said [G2036], look [G2400], the [G3588] two [G1417] kings did not [G3756] stand [G2476] against [G2596] his face [G4383][G1473], and [G2532] how [G4459] will we stand [G2476][G1473]?

And [G2532] they sent the [ones] the [G3588] over [G1909] the [G3588] household [G3624], and [G2532] the [G3588] [ones] over [G1909] the [G3588] city [G4172], and [G2532] the [G3588] elders [G4245], and [G2532] the [G3588] wet-nurses to [G4314] Jehu, saying [G3004], your servants [G3816][G1473] We are [G1473], and [G2532] all [G3956] as much [G3745] as you should say [G2036] to us [G1473] we will do [G4160]. We will not give reign [G3756] anyone [G3762]. the [thing] [G3588] good in [G1722] eyes [G3788] of you [G1473] we will do [G4160].

And [G2532] wrote [G1125] to [G4314] them [G1473] Jehu scroll a second [G1208], saying [G3004], If [G1487] you [are] with me [G1473][G1473], and [G2532] the [G3588] my voice [G5456][G1473] you [G1473] listen to , take [G2983] heads [G2776] of men of the [G3588] sons [G5207] of the [G3588] your boss [G2962][G1473], and [G2532] bring them [G5342] to [G4314] me [G1473] at [G5613] the [G3588] this hour [G5610][G3778] tomorrow in [G1722] Jezreel! And [G2532] the [G3588] sons [G5207] of the [G3588] king were seventy [G1440] men , whom [G3739] the [G3588] stout [men of the [G3588] city [G4172] nourished [G1625] them [G1473].

And [G2532] it came to pass [G1096] as [G5613] came [G2064] the [G3588] scroll to [G4314] them [G1473], that [G2532] they took [G2983] the [G3588] sons [G5207] of the [G3588] king , and [G2532] they slew [G4969] them [G1473] -- seventy [G1440] men . And [G2532] they put [G5087] the [G3588]ir heads [G2776][G1473] in [G1722] baskets , and [G2532] they sent to him [G1473] in [G1519] Jezreel.

And [G2532] came [G2064] the [G3588] word-conveyer (messenger) ' and [G2532] reported to him [G1473], saying [G3004], They brought [G5342] the [G3588] heads [G2776] of the [G3588] sons [G5207] of the [G3588] king . And [G2532] he said [G2036], Place [G5087] them [in [G1473] two [G1417] hills [G1015] by [G3844] the [G3588] door [G2374] of the [G3588] gate [G4439] until [G1519] morning [G4404].

And [G2532] it became [G1096] morning [G4404], and [G2532] he came forth [G1831] and [G2532] stood [G2476]. And [G2532] he said [G2036] to [G4314] all [G3956] the [G3588] people [G2992], You are just [G1342][G1473]. Look [G2400], I [G1473] confederated [G4962] against [G1909] the [G3588] my boss [G2962][G1473], and [G2532] I killed him [G1473]; but [G2532] who [G5100] struck [G3960] all [G3956] of these [G3778]?

See [G1492] that [G3754] there will not fall [G3756][G4098] off the [G3588] saying [G4487] of Boss '[G2962] unto [G1909] the [G3588] land '[G1093], of which [G3739] spoke [G2980] Boss '[G2962] against [G2596] the [G3588] house [G3624] of Ahab. And [G2532] Boss '[G2962] did [G4160] as much as [G3745] he spoke [G2980] by [G1722] hand [G5495] of the [G3588] his servant [G1401][G1473] Elijah.

And [G2532] Jehu struck [G3960] all [G3956] the [G3588] [ones] being left [G2641] among [G1722] the [G3588] house [G3624] of Ahab in [G1722] Jezreel, and [G2532] all [G3956] the [G3588] his stout [men [G1473], and [G2532] the [G3588] his [well] known [men [G1110][G1473], and [G2532] the [G3588] his priests [G2409][G1473], unto [G2193] the [G3588] not [G3361] leaving behind [G2641] of him '[G1473] a vestige [G2640].

And [G2532] he rose up and [G2532] went [G4198] into [G1519] Samaria. He [was [G1473] in [G1722] Beth-Akad of the [G3588] shepherds [G4166] in [G1722] the [G3588] way [G3598].

And [G2532] Jehu found [G2147] the [G3588] brothers of Ahaziah king of Judah, and [G2532] he said [G2036], Who [are [G5100] you [G1473]? And [G2532] they said [G2036], brothers of Ahaziah we [are [G1473], and [G2532] we came down [G2597] in [G1519] peace [G1515] of the [G3588] sons [G5207] of the [G3588] king , and [G2532] the [G3588] sons [G5207] of the [G3588] woman being in power .

And [G2532] he said [G2036], Seize [G4815] them [G1473] alive [G2198]! And [G2532] they seized [G4815] them [G1473], and [G2532] slew [G4969] them [G1473] in [G1722] Beth-akad -- forty [G5062] and [G2532] two [G1417] men . And [G2532] he did not [G3756] leave [G2641] a man of [G1537] them [G1473].

And [G2532] he went [G4198] from there [G1564], and [G2532] he found [G2147] the [G3588] Jehonadab son [G5207] of Rechab in [G1722] the [G3588] way [G3598] for [G1519] meeting him [G1473]. And [G2532] he blessed [G2127] him [G1473], and [G2532] said [G2036] to [G4314] him [G1473] Jehu], Is [G1487] straight [G2117] the [G3588] your heart [G2588][G1473] with [G3326] the [G3588] my heart [G2588][G1473], as [G2531] the [G3588] my heart [G2588][G1473] [is] with [G3326] the [G3588] your heart [G2588][G1473]? And [G2532] Jehonadab said [G2036], It is . And [G2532] Jehu said [G2036], Then [G2532] if [G1487] it is , give [G1325] the [G3588] your hand [G5495][G1473]! And [G2532] he gave [G1325] the [G3588] his hand [G5495][G1473]. And [G2532] he hauled him [G1473] to [G4314] himself [G1473] upon [G1909] the [G3588] chariot .

And [G2532] he said [G2036] to [G4314] him [G1473], Come [G1204] with [G3326] me [G1473], and [G2532] see [G1492] in [G1722] the [G3588] my zealousness [G2206][G1473] to the [G3588] Boss '[G2962]! And [G2532] he sat by [G1940] him [G1473] in [G1722] the [G3588] his chariot [G1473].

And [G2532] he entered [G1525] into [G1519] Samaria, and [G2532] he struck [G3960] all [G3956] the [G3588] [ones] left [G2641] of the [G3588] Ahab in [G1722] Samaria, unto [G2193] the [G3588] obliterating him [G1473] according to [G2596] the [G3588] saying [G4487] of Boss '[G2962], which [G3739] he spoke [G2980] to [G4314] Elijah.

And [G2532] Jehu gathered together [G4867] all [G3956] the [G3588] people [G2992]. And [G2532] said [G2036] to [G4314] them [G1473], Ahab served [G1398] the [G3588] to Baal a little [G3641], Jehu will serve [G1398] to him [G1473] much [G4183].

And [G2532] now [G3568] call [G2564] to [G4314] me [G1473] all [G3956] the [G3588] prophets [G4396] of the [G3588] Baal, and [G2532] the [G3588] his priests [G2409][G1473], and [G2532] all [G3956] the [G3588] his servants [G1401][G1473]! Let not a man [G3361] be overlooked [G1980]! for [G3754] sacrifice [G2378] a great [G3173] I [G1473] make [G4160] [to the [G3588] Baal. All [G3956] who [G3739] ever overlooked [G1980] will not [G3756] live [G2198]. And [G2532] Jehu did it [G4160] by [G1722] trickery , that [G2443] he might destroy the [G3588] servants [G1401] of the [G3588] Baal.

And [G2532] Jehu said [G2036], Sanctify a service [G2322] the [G3588] to Baal! And [G2532] they proclaimed [it [G2784].

And [G2532] Jehu sent in [G1722] all [G3956] Israel. And [G2532] came [G2064] all [G3956] the [G3588] servants [G1401] of the [G3588] Baal]; [there was] not [G3756] left behind [G2641] a man who [G3739] did not [G3756] come [G3854]. And [G2532] they entered [G1525] into [G1519] the [G3588] house [G3624] of the [G3588] Baal, and [G2532] was filled [G4130] the [G3588] house [G3624] of the [G3588] Baal] -- mouth [G4750] unto [G1909] mouth [G4750].

And [G2532] Jehu told [G2036] to the [G3588] [one] over [G1909] the [G3588] house [G3624] wardrobe to bring out [G1806] garments [G1742] for all [G3956] the [G3588] servants [G1401] of the [G3588] Baal. And [G2532] brought [them] forth [G1627] to them [G1473] the [G3588] keeper of the wardrobe .

And [G2532] Jehu entered [G1525], and [G2532] Jehonadab son [G5207] of Rechab, into [G1519] the [G3588] house [G3624] of the [G3588] Baal. And [G2532] he said [G2036] to the [G3588] servants [G1401] of the [G3588] Baal, Search [G2045] and [G2532] see [G1492] if [G1487] there is with [G3326] you [G1473] the [G3588] servants [G1401] [of the] Boss '[G2962]! for [there is to be [G3754] only the [G3588] servants [G1401] of the [G3588] Baal alone [G3441].

And [G2532] they entered [G1525] the [G3588] to offer [G4160] the [G3588] sacrifices [G2378] and [G2532] the [G3588] whole burnt-offerings [G3646]. And [G2532] Jehu stationed [G2476] for himself [G1438] outside [G1854] eighty [G3589] men . And [G2532] he said [G2036], A man who [G3739] ever should preserve [anyone [G1295] off the [G3588] men whom [G3739] I [G1473] bring in [G1521] unto [G1909] your hands [G5495][G1473], the [G3588] his life [G5590][G1473] will be for the [G3588] his life [G5590][G1473].

And [G2532] it came to pass [G1096] as [G5613] he completed [G4931] offering [G4160] the [G3588] whole burnt-offering , that [G2532] Jehu said [G2036] to the [G3588] bodyguards and [G2532] to the [G3588] tribunes , In entering [G1525], strike [G3960] them [G1473]! Let not [G3361] come forth [G1831] from [G1537] them [G1473] a man ! And [G2532] struck [G3960] them [G1473] the [G3588] bodyguards and [G2532] the [G3588] tribunes by [G1722] mouth [G4750] of broadsword [G4501]; and [G2532] they tossed [the bodies [G4495], and [G2532] went [G4198] unto [G2193] city [G4172] of house [G3624] of the [G3588] Baal.

And [G2532] they brought forth [G1627] the [G3588] monument of the [G3588] Baal, and [G2532] burnt [G1714] it [G1473].

And [G2532] they tore down the [G3588] monuments of the [G3588] Baal, and [G2532] they demolished [G2507] the [G3588] his house [G3624][G1473]. And [G2532] the [G3588] house [G3624] of the [G3588] Baal they established [G5087] for [G1519] a bathhouse until [G2193] the [G3588] this day [G2250][G3778].

And [G2532] Jehu removed the [G3588] Baal from [G1537] Israel.
29
Except [G4133] from sins of Jeroboam son [G5207] of Nebat, who [G3739] led Israel into sin the [G3588] did not [G3756] abstain Jehu] from [following] after [G3693] them [G1473] -- the [G3588] heifers [G1151] of the [G3588] gold [G5552] in [G1722] Bethel and [G2532] in [G1722] Dan.

And [G2532] BOSS said [G2036][G2962] to [G4314] Jehu, Because you did good the [G3588] to do [G4160] the [G3588] upright [thing] in [G1722] my eyes [G3788][G1473], and [G2532] you did [G4160] according to [G2596] all [G3956] the [things] [G3588] in [G1722] the [G3588] my heart [G2588][G1473] to the [G3588] house [G3624] of Ahab, sons [G5207] [unto the] fourth [generation [G5067] will sit down [G2521] for you [G1473] upon [G1909] throne [G2362] of Israel.

And [G2532] Jehu did not [G3756] guard [G5442] to go [G4198] in [G1722] law [G3551] of Boss '[G2962] God '[G2316] of Israel with [G1722] entire [G3650] heart [G2588] of him '[G1473]. He did not [G3756] abstain from the [G3588] sins of Jeroboam son [G5207] of Nebat, who [G3739] led Israel into sin the [G3588].

In [G1722] the [G3588] those days [G2250][G1565] BOSS began [G2962] to cut down in [G1722] the [G3588] Israel. And [G2532] struck [G3960] them [G1473] Hazael] in [G1722] every [G3956] border [G3725] of Israel;

from the [G3588] Jordan according to [G2596] rising of sun [G2246] -- all [G3956] the [G3588] land '[G1093] of Gilead of the [G3588] Gadites, and [G2532] of the [G3588] Reuben, and [G2532] of the [G3588] Manasseh -- from Aroer, which [G3739] is upon [G1909] the [G3588] edge [G5491] of rushing stream [G5493] Arnon, and [G2532] the [G3588] Gilead and [G2532] the [G3588] Bashan.

And [G2532] the [G3588] rest [G3062] of the [G3588] words [G3056] of Jehu, and [G2532] all [G3956] as much as [G3745] he did [G4160], and [G2532] all [G3956] the [G3588] his dominations [G1473], and [G2532] the [G3588] associations which [G3739] he joined , look [are] not [G3780][G2400] these [G3778] written [G1125] upon [G1909] scroll of words [G3056] of the [G3588] days [G2250] of the [G3588] kings of Israel?

And [G2532] Jehu slept [G2837] with [G3326] the [G3588] his fathers [G3962][G1473], and [G2532] they entombed [G2290] him [G1473] in [G1722] Samaria, and [G2532] reigned Jehoahaz son [G5207] of him [G1473] instead of him [G1473].

And [G2532] the [G3588] days [G2250] which [G3739] Jehu reigned over [G1909] Israel [were] twenty-eight years [G2094] in [G1722] Samaria.
