2 Chronicles Chapter 21 - | Early Church Bible

1: And [G2532] Jehoshaphat slept [G2837] with [G3326] the [G3588] his fathers [G3962][G1473], and [G2532] he was entombed [G2290] with [G3326] the [G3588] his fathers [G3962][G1473] in [G1722] city [G4172] of David. And [G2532] reigned Jehoram son [G5207] of him [G1473] instead of him [G1473].
2: And [G2532] to him [G1473] [were] brothers , sons [G5207] of Jehoshaphat -- Azariah, and [G2532] Jehiel, and [G2532] Zechariah, and [G2532] Michael, and [G2532] Shephatiah; all [G3956] these [G3778] [were] sons [G5207] of Jehoshaphat king of Judah.
3: And [G2532] gave [G1325] to them [G1473] the [G3588]ir father [G3962][G1473] gifts [G1390] many [G4183] -- silver , and [G2532] gold [G5553], and [G2532] shields [G3696], with [G3326] the [G3588] cities [G4172] being walled in [G1722] Judah. But [G2532] the [G3588] government ' he gave [G1325] the [G3588] to Jehoram, for [G3754] he [was [G1473] the [G3588] first-born [G4416].
4: And [G2532] Jehoram rose over [G1909] the [G3588] government ' of the [G3588] his father [G3962][G1473], and [G2532] was strengthened [G2901], and [G2532] he killed all [G3956] the [G3588] brothers of him [G1473] by [G1722] broadsword [G4501], and [G2532] indeed [G1065] [some] off the [G3588] rulers of Israel.
5: His being [G1473] thirty [G5144] and [G2532] two [G1417] years [old [G2094] [was] Jehoram in [G1722] the [G3588] his reigning [G1473], and [G2532] eight [G3638] years [G2094] he reigned in [G1722] Jerusalem.
6: And [G2532] he went [G4198] in [G1722] the [G3588] way [G3598] of kings of Israel, as [G5613] did [G4160] house [G3624] of Ahab, for [G3754] a daughter [G2364] of Ahab was to him [G1473] for a wife [G1135]. And [G2532] he did [G4160] the [G3588] wicked [thing] [G4190] before [G1799] Boss '[G2962].
7: And [G2532] did not [G3756] want [G1014] Boss '[G2962] to utterly destroy [G1842] the [G3588] house [G3624] of David on account of [G1223] the [G3588] covenant [G1242] which [G3739] he ordained [G1303] the [G3588] with David, and [G2532] as [G5613] he said [G2036] to him [G1473], to give [G1325] him [G1473] a lamp [G3088] and [G2532] [to the [G3588] his sons [G5207][G1473] all [G3956] the [G3588] days [G2250].
8: In [G1722] the [G3588] those days [G2250][G1565] Edom revolted from under hand [G5495] of Judah, and [G2532] they gave reign over [G1909] themselves [G1438] a king .
9: And [G2532] Jehoram set out with [G3326] the [G3588] his rulers [G1473], and [G2532] all [G3956] the [G3588] his chariots [G1473], and [G2532] all [G3956] the [G3588] cavalry [G2462], the [G3588] [one] with [G3326] him [G1473]. And [G2532] it came to pass [G1096] that [G2532] he arose [G1453] [by] night [G3571] and [G2532] struck [G3960] the [G3588] Edom, the [G3588] [one] encircling [G2944] him [G1473], and [G2532] the [G3588] rulers of the [G3588] chariots .
10: And [G2532] Edom revolted from hand [G5495] of Judah until [G2193] the [G3588] this day [G2250][G3778]. Then [G5119] Libnah revolted in [G1722] the [G3588] that time [G2540][G1565] from under his hand [G5495][G1473], for [G3754] he abandoned [G1459] Boss '[G2962] the [G3588] God '[G2316] of the [G3588] his fathers [G3962][G1473].
11: Moreover [G2532][G1063] he [G1473] made [G4160] high [places [G5308] in [G1722] the [G3588] cities [G4172] of Judah, and [G2532] fornicated [G1608] the [G3588] [ones] dwelling [G2730] in [G1722] Jerusalem, and [G2532] led Judah astray the [G3588].
12: And [G2532] there came [G2064] to him [G1473] in [G1722] writing [G1124] [words] by [G3844] Elijah the [G3588] prophet [G4396], saying [G3004], Thus [G3592] says [G3004] Boss '[G2962], the [G3588] God '[G2316] of David the [G3588] father [G3962] of you [G1473], Because you did not [G3756] go [G4198] in [G1722] way [G3598] of Jehoshaphat the [G3588] father [G3962] of you [G1473], and [G2532] in [G1722] ways [G3598] of Asa king of Judah,
13: and [G2532] went [G4198] in [G1722] ways [G3598] of king of Israel, and [G2532] fornicated [G1608] the [G3588] Judah, and [G2532] the [G3588] [ones] dwelling [G2730] in [G1722] Jerusalem, as [G5613] fornicated [G1608] house [G3624] of Ahab], and also [G2532] the [G3588] your brothers [G1473], sons [G5207] of the [G3588] father [G3962] of you [G1473], the [G3588] good ones over [G5228] you [G1473], you killed .
14: look [G2400], Boss '[G2962] will strike [G3960] you [G1473] calamity [G4127] [with] a great [G3173] among [G1722] the [G3588] your people [G2992][G1473], and [G2532] among [G1722] the [G3588] your sons [G5207][G1473], and [G2532] among [G1722] the [G3588] your wives [G1135][G1473], and [G2532] among [G1722] all [G3956] the [G3588] your belongings [G1473];
15: and [G2532] you [G1473] will be in [G1722] sicknesses severe [G4190] in [G1722] disease [G3554] of your bellies [G2836][G1473], until [G2193] of which [time] [G3739] should come forth [G1831] the [G3588] your innards [G1473] from the [G3588] sickness of [G1537] days [G2250] by [G1519] days [G2250].
16: And [G2532] BOSS roused [G1892][G2962] against [G1909] Jehoram the [G3588] Philistines , and [G2532] the [G3588] Arabians, and [G2532] the [G3588] [ones] adjoining the [G3588] Ethiopians.
17: And [G2532] they went up against [G1909] Judah, and [G2532] overpowered it [G2616][G1473], and [G2532] captured all [G3956] the [G3588] possessions [G5223] which [G3739] they found [G2147] in [G1722] house [G3624] of the [G3588] king , and [G2532] the [houses the [G3588] of his sons [G5207][G1473], and [G2532] the [G3588] his daughters [G2364][G1473]. And [G2532] there was not left [G3756][G2641] to him [G1473] a son [G5207] except Jehoahaz the [G3588] youngest [G3501] of the [G3588] his sons [G5207][G1473].
18: And [G2532] after [G3326] all these [things] [G3778][G3956] struck [G3960] him [G1473] Boss '[G2962] in [G1722] the [G3588] his belly [G2836][G1473] with [G1722] a sickness in [G1722] which [G3739] there is no [G3756] healing .
19: And [G2532] it happened [G1096] from [G1537] days [G2250] unto [G1519] days [G2250], and [G2532] as [G5613] came [G2064] the [G3588] his time [G2540][G1473] in [G1519] days [G2250] two [G1417], there came forth [G1831] the [G3588] his innards [G1473] with [G3326] the [G3588] his belly [G2836] in [G1722] his sickness [G1473]. And [G2532] he died in [G1722] sicknesses severe [G4190], and [G2532] did not make [G3756][G4169] to him [G1473] the [G3588] his people [G2992][G1473] a funeral , nor [G2532] a burning [G2740] according to [G2596] the [G3588] burning [G2740] of the [G3588] his fathers [G3962][G1473].
20: He was thirty [G5144] and [G2532] two [G1417] years [old [G2094] in [G1722] the [G3588] his reigning [G1473], and [G2532] eight [G3638] years [G2094] he reigned in [G1722] Jerusalem. And [G2532] he went [G4198] in [G1722] not [G3756] high praise [G1868]. And [G2532] they entombed [him [G2290] in [G1722] city [G4172] of David, and [G2532] not [G3756] in [G1722] tombs [G5028] of the [G3588] kings .
