1 Samuel Chapter 21 - | Early Church Bible

1: And [G2532] David comes [G2064] to [G1519] Nob, to [G4314] Ahimelech the [G3588] priest [G2409]. And [G2532] Ahimelech is startled [G1839] in the [G3588] meeting David. And [G2532] he said [G2036] to him [G1473], Why [G5100] [is it] that [G3754] you [G1473] [are] alone [G3441], and [G2532] no one [G3762] [is] with [G3326] you [G1473]?
2: And [G2532] David said [G2036] to the [G3588] priest [G2409] Ahimelech, the [G3588] king gave charge [G1781] to me [G1473] a thing [G4487] today [G4594], and [G2532] said [G2036] to me [G1473], Let no one [G3367] know [G1097] anything [G3367] concerning [G4012] the [G3588] matter [G4487] for [G5228] which [G3739] I [G1473] send you [G1473], and [G2532] for [G4012] what [G3739] I have given charge [G1781] to you [G1473]. And [G2532] to the [G3588] servants [G3808] I testified [G1263] in [G1722] the [G3588] place [G5117], in the [G3588] [one] being called [G3004] -- Phalanni Alomni.
3: And [G2532] now [G3568], if [G1487] there is in [G5259] the [G3588] your hand [G5495][G1473] five [G4002] bread [loaves , put [G1325] into [G1519] the [G3588] my hand [G5495][G1473] the [thing] [G3588] being found [G2147].
4: And [G2532] responded the [G3588] priest [G2409] the [G3588] to David, and [G2532] said [G2036], There are no [G3756] profane bread [loaves in [G5259] the [G3588] my hand [G5495][G1473], but [G3754] only bread [loaves pure ' there are . If [G1487] were having been kept [G5442] the [G3588] servants [G3808] from a woman [G1135], then [G2532] they will eat [G2068].
5: And [G2532] David answered to the [G3588] priest [G2409], and [G2532] said [G2036] to him [G1473], Yes , even [G2532] from a woman [G1135] we have been at a distance from the [G3588] yesterday [G5504] and [G2532] third [G5154] day [before [G2250]. 6: And [G2532] gave [G1325] to him [G1473] Ahimelech the [G3588] priest [G2409] bread [loaves of the [G3588] place setting [G4286], for [G3754] no [G3756] there was there [G1563] bread [loaf , but only bread [loaves of the [G3588] presence [G4383], the [loaves the [G3588] being removed before [G1537] presence [G4383] of Boss '[G2962], [so as the [G3588] to place near [G3908] bread [loaves hot in which [G3739] day [G2250] he took [G2983] them [G1473].

9: And [G2532] said [G2036] the [G3588] priest [G2409], look [G2400], the [G3588] broadsword [G4501] of Goliath the [G3588] Philistine whom [G3739] you struck [G3960] in [G1722] the [G3588] valley of Ela. And [G2532] it [G1473] is wrapped [G1750] in [G1722] a cloak [G2440] behind [G3694] the [G3588] shoulder-piece . If [G1487] this [G3778] you take [G2983] for yourself [G4572], take [G2983]! for [G3754] there is none [G3756] other [G2087] besides it [G1473] here . And [G2532] David said [G2036], There is none [G3756] as [G5618] it [G1473], give [G1325] it to me [G1473][G1473]!
10: And [G2532] he gave [G1325] it [G1473] to him [G1473]. And [G2532] David rose up and [G2532] fled [G5343] in [G1722] the [G3588] that day [G2250][G1565] from [G1537] presence [G4383] of Saul. And [G2532] David came [G2064] to [G4314] Achish king of Gath.
11: And [G2532] said [G2036] the [G3588] servants [G3816] of Achish] to [G4314] him [G1473], not [G3756] this [G3778] Is David the [G3588] king of the [G3588] land '[G1093]? Did not [G3780] to this one [G3778] taking the lead the [G3588] women joining in a dance , saying [G3004], Saul struck [G3960][G1722] his thousands [G5505][G1473], and [G2532] David [G1722] his ten-thousands [G3461][G1473]?

13: And [G2532] he changed the [G3588] his countenance [G4383][G1473] before [G1799] them [G1473]. 14: And [G2532] Achish said [G2036] to [G4314] the [G3588] his servants [G3816][G1473], look [G2400], you see [G1492] a man overcome by convulsions ! Why did [G2444] you bring [G1521] him [G1473] to [G4314] me [G1473]?
15: Or [G2228] do feel a want [G4326] of ones overcome by convulsions I [G1473] that [G3754] you carry [G1533] him [G1473] being possessed unto [G1909] me [G1473]? will [G1487] this one [G3778] enter [G1525] into [G1519] the [G3588] my house, [no [G3614][G1473].
