1 Samuel Chapter 19 - | Early Church Bible

1: And [G2532] Saul spoke [G2980] to [G4314] Jonathan the [G3588] son [G5207] of him [G1473], and [G2532] to [G4314] all [G3956] the [G3588] his servants [G3816][G1473], the [G3588] to put David to death [G2289] the [G3588].
2: And [G2532] Jonathan the [G3588] son [G5207] of Saul took to the [G3588] David exceedingly [G4970]. And [G2532] Jonathan reported the [G3588] to David, saying [G3004], Saul the [G3588] father [G3962] of me [G1473] seeks [G2212] to put you to death [G2289][G1473]; and [G2532] now [G3568] be on guard [G5442] tomorrow morning [G4404], and [G2532] hide [G2928] and [G2532] sit down [G2523] in secret [G2931]!
3: And [G2532] I [G1473] will come forth [G1831] and [G2532] stand [G2476] next to [G2192] the [G3588] father [G3962] of me [G1473] in [G1722] field of which [G3739] ever you should be there [G1563]. And [G2532] I [G1473] will speak [G2980] concerning [G4012] you [G1473] to [G4314] the [G3588] father [G3962] of me [G1473], and [G2532] I will see [G3708] whatever [G3748] might be , and [G2532] I will report it to you [G1473].
4: And [G2532] Jonathan spoke [G2980] concerning [G4012] David good [things] to [G4314] Saul the [G3588] his father [G3962][G1473], and [G2532] said [G2036] to [G4314] him [G1473], not [G3361] Let sin the [G3588] king against [G1519] the [G3588] his servant [G1401][G1473] the [G3588] David! for [G3754] he sinned not [G3756] against [G1519] you [G1473], and [G2532] the [G3588] his works [G2041][G1473] proper [G2570] [are] exceedingly [G4970].
5: And [G2532] he put [G5087] the [G3588] his life [G5590][G1473] in [G1722] the [G3588] his hand [G5495][G1473], and [G2532] struck [G3960] the [G3588] Philistine . And [G2532] BOSS executed [G4160][G2962] deliverance [G4991] a great [G3173]. And [G2532] all [G3956] Israel looked [at] [G1492] and [G2532] rejoiced [G5463]. And [G2532] why [G2444] do you sin against [G1519] blood innocent to put to death [G2289] the [G3588] David without charge [G1431]?
6: And [G2532] Saul hearkened to the [G3588] voice [G5456] of Jonathan, and [G2532] Saul swore by an oath [G3660], saying [G3004], [As the] BOSS lives [G2198][G2962] will he [G1487] die, [no .
7: And [G2532] Jonathan called [G2564] the [G3588] David, and [G2532] reported to him [G1473] all [G3956] the [G3588]se things [G4487][G3778]. And [G2532] Jonathan brought [G1521] the [G3588] David to [G4314] Saul, and [G2532] he was before [G1799] him [G1473] as [he was [G5613] yesterday [G5504] and [G2532] third [G5154] day [before [G2250].
8: And [G2532] proceeded [G4369] the [G3588] war [G4171] to take place [G1096], and [G2532] David grew strong [G2729] and [G2532] waged war [G4170] [against] the [G3588] Philistines ; and [G2532] he struck [G3960] them [G1473] beating [G4127] great [G3173] an exceedingly [G4970]; and [G2532] they fled [G5343] from [G1537] his face [G4383][G1473].
9: And [G2532] came [G1096] wind/spirit/breathing '[G4151] [of the] Boss '[G2962] a ferocious [G4190] upon [G1909] Saul from [G3844] Boss '[G2962], and [G2532] he was [G1473] in [G1722] his house [G3624][G1473] sitting [G2521], and [G2532] a spear was in [G1722] the [G3588] his hand [G5495][G1473]. And [G2532] David strummed [G5567] with [G1722] the [G3588] his hands [G5495][G1473].
10: And [G2532] Saul sought [G2212] to strike [G3960] with [G1722] a wooden spear the [G3588] David]. And [G2532] David departed from [G1537] face [G4383] of Saul, and [G2532] he struck [with [G3960] the [G3588] spear into [G1519] the [G3588] wall [G5109]. And [G2532] David withdrew and [G2532] was delivered [G1295] in [G1722] that night [G3571][G1565].
11: And [G2532] Saul sent word-conveyers (messengers) ' to [G1519] the [G3588] house [G3624] of David to guard [G5442] him [G1473], [so as the [G3588] to put him to death [G2289][G1473] in the morning [G4404]. And [G2532] it was reported the [G3588] to David by Michal the [G3588] his wife [G1135][G1473], saying [G3004], If [G1437] you will not [G3361][G1473] preserve [G4982] the [G3588] your life [G5590][G1473] the [G3588] this night [G3571][G3778], tomorrow you [G1473] will be put to death [G2289].
12: And [G2532] Michal let down [G2609] the [G3588] David through [G1223] the [G3588] window [G2376]. And [G2532] he went forth , and [G2532] fled [G5343], and [G2532] escaped [G4982].
13: And [G2532] Michal took [G2983] the [G3588] [G3588] statues , and [G2532] put [them [G5087] upon [G1909] the [G3588] bed [G2825]; and [G2532] a round [pillow of hair [G2359] of goats she put [G5087] by [G4314] his head [G2776][G1473], and [G2532] covered [G2572] them [G1473] with [G1722] a cloak [G2440].
14: And [G2532] Saul sent word-conveyers (messengers) ' to take [G2983] the [G3588] David. And [G2532] she spoke [G2036] of him to be unwell [G1776].
15: And [G2532] Saul sent word-conveyers (messengers) ' to see [G1492] the [G3588] David, saying [G3004], convey ' him [G1473] upon [G1909] the [G3588] bed [G2825] to [G4314] me [G1473] the [G3588] to put him to death [G2289][G1473].
16: And [G2532] come [G2064] the [G3588] word-conveyers (messengers) ', and [G2532] look [G2400], the [G3588] statues upon [G1909] the [G3588] bed [G2825], and [G2532] round [pillow of the [G3588] hair [G2359] of the [G3588] goats by [G4314] his head [G2776][G1473].
17: And [G2532] Saul said [G2036] the [G3588] to Michal, Why [G2444] thus [G3779] did you mislead [G3884] me [G1473], and [G2532] send out [G1821] the [G3588] my enemy [G2190][G1473], and [G2532] he came through safe [G1295]? And [G2532] Michal said [G2036] the [G3588] to Saul, He [G1473] said [G2036] to [G4314] me [G1473], Send [G1821] me [G1473]! for if not [G1490] I will put you to death [G2289][G1473].
18: And [G2532] David fled [G5343], and [G2532] was delivered [G1295], and [G2532] comes [G3854] to [G4314] Samuel in [G1519] Ramah. And [G2532] he reports to him [G1473] all [G3956] as much as [G3745] did [G4160] to him [G1473] Saul]. And [G2532] went [G4198] Samuel and [G2532] David] and [G2532] sat down [G2523] in [G1722] Naioth in [G1722] Ramah.
19: And [G2532] it was reported the [G3588] to Saul, saying [G3004], look [G2400], David [is] in [G1722] Naioth in [G1722] Ramah.
20: And [G2532] Saul sent word-conveyers (messengers) ' to take [G2983] the [G3588] David. And [G2532] coming [G2064] they saw [G1492] the [G3588] assembly [G1577] of the [G3588] prophets [G4396] the [G3588] prophesying [G4395], and [G2532] Samuel stood [G2476] ordained [G2525] over [G1909] them [G1473]. And [G2532] became [G1096] upon [G1909] the [G3588] word-conveyers (messengers) ' of Saul wind/spirit/breathing '[G4151] of God '[G2316], and [G2532] they prophesied [G4395], even [G2532] they [G1473].
21: And [G2532] it was reported the [G3588] to Saul, and [G2532] he sent word-conveyers (messengers) ' other [G2087], and [G2532] they prophesied [G4395], even [G2532] they [G1473]. And [G2532] Saul proceeded [G4369] to send word-conveyers (messengers) ' a third [time] [G5154], and [G2532] they prophesied [G4395] -- even [G2532] they [G1473].
22: And [G2532] was enraged [G2373] in anger [G3709] Saul], and [G2532] went [G4198] even [G2532] himself [G1473] unto [G1519] Ramah. And [G2532] he comes [G2064] unto [G2193] well [G5421] of the [G3588] threshing-floor of the [G3588] [one] in [G1722] the [G3588] Sechu. And [G2532] he asked [G2065] and [G2532] said [G2036], Where [are [G4226] Samuel and [G2532] David? And [G2532] they said [G2036], look [G2400], in [G1722] Naioth in [G1722] Ramah.
23: And [G2532] he went [G4198] from there [G1564] into [G1519] Naioth in [G1722] Ramah. And [G2532] there came [G1096] upon [G1909] him [G1473] wind/spirit/breathing '[G4151] of God '[G2316]. And [G2532] he went [G4198] going [G4198], and [G2532] prophesied [G4395] unto [G2193] the [G3588] his coming [G2064][G1473] unto [G1519] Naioth in [G1722] Ramah.
24: And [G2532] he took off [G1562] the [G3588] his clothes [G2440][G1473], and [G2532] he prophesied [G4395] before [G1799] Samuel. And [G2532] he fell [G4098] naked [G1131] entire [G3650] the [G3588] day [G2250] that [G1565], and [G2532] entire [G3650] the [G3588] night [G3571] that [G1565]. Because of [G1223] this [G3778] they said [G3004], Is [G1487] also [G2532] Saul among [G1722] prophets [G4396]?
