1 Kings Chapter 21 - | Early Church Bible

1: And [G2532] it came to pass [G1096] after [G3326] the [G3588]se words [G4487][G3778], that [G2532] vineyard one [G1520] [there] was [to the [G3588] Naboth the [G3588] Jezreelite, by [G3844] the [G3588] house [G3624] of Ahab king of Samaria.
2: And [G2532] Ahab spoke [G2980] to [G4314] Naboth, saying [G3004], Give [G1325] to me [G1473] the [G3588] your vineyard [G1473]! and [G2532] it will be to me [G1473] for [G1519] a garden [G2779] of vegetables [G3001], for [G3754] this is near [G1448][G3778] the [G3588] my house [G3624][G1473]! And [G2532] I will give [G1325] to you [G1473] in place of it [G1473] vineyard another good for [G5228] it [G1473], but if [not [G1487][G1161] pleasing before [G1799] you [G1473], I will give [G1325] to you [G1473] money in barter for [G1473] vineyard this your [G1473][G3778].
3: And [G2532] Naboth said [G2036] to [G4314] Ahab, May it not [G3361] be to me [G1473][G1096] from [G3844] Boss '[G2962] to give [G1325] the [G3588] inheritance [G2817] of the [G3588] my fathers [G3962][G1473] to you [G1473].
4: And [G2532] Ahab went [G2064] to [G4314] his house [G3624][G1473] being in a tumult [G4797] and [G2532] loosened [G1590] over [G2089] the [G3588] word [G3056] which [G3739] spoke [G2980] to [G4314] him [G1473] Naboth the [G3588] Jezreelite], as [G2532] he said [G2036], I will not give [G3756][G1325] to you [G1473] the [G3588] inheritance [G2817] of the [G3588] my fathers [G3962][G1473] to you [G1473]. And [G2532] became [G1096] the [G3588] wind/spirit/breathing '[G4151] of Ahab] disturbed [G5015], and [G2532] he went to sleep [G2837] upon [G1909] the [G3588] his bed [G2825][G1473], and [G2532] covered up [G4780] the [G3588] his face [G4383][G1473], and [G2532] did not [G3756] eat [G2068] bread .
5: And [G2532] entered [G1525] Jezebel the [G3588] his wife [G1135][G1473] to [G4314] him [G1473], and [G2532] she said [G2980] to [G4314] him [G1473], Why [G5100] the [G3588] [is] your wind/spirit/breathing '[G4151][G1473] disturbed [G5015], and [G2532] are not [G3756] you [G1473] eating [G2068] bread ?
6: And [G2532] he said [G2036] to [G4314] her [G1473], For [G3754] I spoke [G2980] to [G4314] Naboth the [G3588] Jezreelite, saying [G3004], Give [G1325] to me [G1473] the [G3588] your vineyard [G1473] for money ! but if [G1487][G1161] you do not want [G3361][G1014], I will give [G1325] to you [G1473] a vineyard in place of it [G1473]. And [G2532] he said [G2036], I will not [G3756] give [G1325] to you [G1473] the [G3588] inheritance [G2817] of the [G3588] my fathers [G3962][G1473].
7: And [G2532] said [G2036] to [G4314] him [G1473] Jezebel the [G3588] his wife [G1135][G1473], Do you [G1473] now [G3568] so [G3779] act [G4160] [as] king over [G1909] Israel? Rise up , and [G2532] eat [G2068] bread , and [G2532] yourself [G4572] be [G1096]! and I [G1473][G1161] will give [G1325] to you [G1473] the [G3588] vineyard of Naboth the [G3588] Jezreelite.
8: And [G2532] she wrote [G1125] upon a scroll [G1909] the [G3588] name [G3686] of Ahab, and [G2532] set seal [G4972] the [G3588] with his seal [G4973][G1473], and [G2532] sent the [G3588] scroll to [G4314] the [G3588] elders [G4245] and [G2532] to [G4314] the [G3588] free men [G1658] of the [G3588] [ones] dwelling [G2730] with [G3326] Naboth.
9: And [G2532] she wrote [G1125] in [G1722] the [G3588] scroll , saying [G3004], Fast [G3522] a fast [G3521], and [G2532] sit Naboth down [G2523] the [G3588] at [G1722] head [place] of the [G3588] people [G2992]!
10: And [G2532] set two [G1417] men , sons [G5207] of lawbreakers , right opposite him [G1473]! And [G2532] let them bear witness against [G2649] him [G1473]! saying [G3004], You raved [against [G2127] God '[G2316] and [G2532] king . And [G2532] let them lead him out [G1806][G1473] and [G2532] stone [G3036] him [G1473], and [G2532] let him die !
11: And [G2532] they did [G4160] (the the [G3588] men of the [G3588] his city [G4172][G1473], the [G3588] elders [G4245], and [G2532] the [G3588] free [men [G1658] the [G3588] dwelling [G2730] in [G1722] the [G3588] his city [G4172][G1473]) as [G2531] sent to [G4314] them [G1473] Jezebel], and [G2532] as [G2505] was written [G1125] in [G1722] the [G3588] scrolls which [G3739] she sent to [G4314] them [G1473].
12: And [G2532] they called [G2564] a fast [G3521], and [G2532] they sat Naboth down [G2523] the [G3588] at [G1722] head of the [G3588] people [G2992].
13: And [G2532] entered [G1525] two [G1417] men , sons [G5207] of lawbreakers , and [G2532] they sat down [G2523] right opposite him [G1473], and [G2532] bore witness against [G2649] him [G1473], saying [G3004], He raved [against [G2127] God '[G2316] and [G2532] king . And [G2532] they led [G1806] him [G1473] outside [G1854] the [G3588] city [G4172], and [G2532] they stoned [G3036] him [G1473] with [G1722] stones [G3037], and [G2532] he died .
14: And [G2532] they sent to [G4314] Jezebel, saying [G3004], Naboth has been stoned [G3036] and [G2532] died [G2348].
15: And [G2532] it came to pass [G1096], as [G5613] Jezebel heard the [G3588] [ones] saying [G3004], Naboth has been stoned [G3036], and [G2532] has died [G2348]; Jezebel said [G2036] to [G4314] Ahab, Rise up , inherit [G2816] the [G3588] vineyard of Naboth the [G3588] Jezreelite! for [G3754] he did not give it [G3756][G1325] to you [G1473] for money , for [G3754] not [G3756] is Naboth] living [G2198], but has died [G2348].
16: And [G2532] it came to pass [G1096] as [G5613] Ahab heard that [G3754] Naboth has died [G2348], Ahab rose and [G2532] went down [G2597] into [G1519] the [G3588] vineyard of Naboth the [G3588] Jezreelite the [G3588] to inherit [G2816] it [G1473].
17: And [G2532] BOSS said [G2036][G2962] to [G4314] Elijah the [G3588] Tishbite, saying [G3004],
18: Rise up and [G2532] go down [G2597] for [G1519] a meeting with Ahab king of Israel, the [G3588] [one] in [G1722] Samaria! look [G2400], he [is [G1473] in [G1722] the [G3588] vineyard of Naboth, for [G3754] he went down [G2597] there [G1563] to inherit [G2816] it [G1473].
19: And [G2532] you will speak [G2980] to [G4314] him [G1473], saying [G3004], Thus [G3592] says [G3004] Boss '[G2962], You murdered [G5407] and [G2532] inherited [G2816]. Therefore [G1223][G3778] thus [G3592] says [G3004] Boss '[G2962], In [G1722] the [G3588] place [G5117] where [G3739] licked the [G3588] dogs [G2965] the [G3588] blood of Naboth, there [G1563] will lick the [G3588] dogs [G2965] the [G3588] your blood [G1473].
20: And [G2532] Ahab said [G2036] to [G4314] Elijah, Have [G1487] you found [G2147] me [G1473], O the [G3588] my enemy [G2190][G1473]? And [G2532] he said [G2036], I have found [you [G2147], for [G1360] you sell [yourself [G4097] in folly [G3155] the [G3588] to act [G4160] the [G3588] wickedly [G4190] before [G1799] Boss '[G2962], the [G3588] to provoke him to anger [G3949][G1473].
21: Thus [G3592] says [G3004] Boss '[G2962], look [G2400], I [G1473] bring [G1863] upon [G1909] you [G1473] evils [G2556]. And [G2532] I will burn away [G1572] after [G3694] you [G1473], and [G2532] I will utterly destroy [G1842] of the [G3588] Ahab one urinating against [G4314] wall [G5109], and [G2532] one being constrained [G4912], and [G2532] one being left [G1459] in [G1722] Israel.
22: And [G2532] I will appoint [G1325] the [G3588] your house [G3624][G1473] as [G5613] the [G3588] house [G3624] of Jeroboam son [G5207] of Nebat, and [G2532] as [G5613] the [G3588] house [G3624] of Baasha son [G5207] of Ahijah, on account of [G4012] the [G3588] provocations which [G3739] you provoke to anger [G3949], and [G2532] led Israel into sin the [G3588].
23: And [G2532] the [G3588] to Jezebel spoke [G2980] Boss '[G2962], saying [G3004], the [G3588] dogs [G2965] will eat [G2068] her [G1473] in [G1722] the [G3588] area around the wall of the [G3588] Jezreel.
24: the [one] [G3588] having died [G2348] of the [G3588] Ahab in [G1722] the [G3588] city [G4172], will eat [G2068] the [G3588] dogs [G2965]; and [G2532] the [G3588] [one] having died [G2348] of of him '[G1473] in [G1722] the [G3588] plain , will eat [G2068] the [G3588] birds [G4071] of the [G3588] raised-place-above (sky) '[G3772].
25: Furthermore [G4133] not [one [G3756] there was as [G5613] Ahab, who [G3739] sold himself [G4097] to do [G4160] the [G3588] wicked [thing] [G4190] before [G1799] Boss '[G2962], as [G5613] altered [G3346] him [G1473] Jezebel the [G3588] his wife [G1135][G1473].
26: And [G2532] he acted abhorrent exceedingly [G4970] the [G3588] to go [G4198] after [G3694] the [G3588] abominations , according to [G2596] all [G3956] as many things which [G3745] made [G4160] the [G3588] Amorite], whom [G3739] BOSS utterly destroyed [G1842][G2962] from face [G4383] of the [G3588] sons [G5207] of Israel.
27: And [G2532] it came to pass [G1096] as [G5613] Ahab heard the [G3588]se words [G4487][G3778], he tore [G1284] the [G3588] his inner-garment [G5509][G1473], and [G2532] he wore [G4016] sackcloth [G4526] upon [G1909] the [G3588] his body [G4983][G1473], and [G2532] he fasted [G3522], and [G2532] he laid [G2837] in [G1722] sackcloth [G4526], and [G2532] he went [G4198] having downcast eyes .
28: And [G2532] came to pass [G1096] word [G4487] of Boss '[G2962] to [G4314] Elijah the [G3588] Tishbite, and [G2532] he said [G2036],
29: Have you seen [G3708] that [G5613] Ahab was vexed [G2660] in front [G4383] of me [G1473]? Because [G3739][G3754] he was vexed [G2660] in front [G4383] of me [G1473], I will not bring [G3756][G1863] the [G3588] evil [G2549] in [G1722] the [G3588] his days [G2250][G1473], but only in [G1722] the [G3588] days [G2250] of the [G3588] son [G5207] of him [G1473] will I bring [G1863] the [G3588] evil [G2549] upon [G1909] the [G3588] his house [G3624][G1473].
