1 Corinthians Chapter 7 - | Early Church Bible

1: But concerning [G4012][G1161] what [G3739] you wrote [G1125] to me [G1473]; It is good [G2570] for a man a woman [G1135] to not touch [G3361].
2: But because of [G1223][G1161] the [G3588] harlotries [G4202], each [man [G1538] the [G3588] his own [G1438] wife [G1135] let have [G2192], and [G2532] each [woman [G1538] the [G3588] her own [G2398] husband let have [G2192]!
3: to the [G3588] wife [G1135] the [G3588] husband the [G3588] owed [G3784] good-will [G2133] Let render , and in like manner [G3668][G1161] also [G2532] the [G3588] wife [G1135] to the [G3588] husband !
4: The [G3588] wife [G1135] the [G3588] her own [G2398] body [G4983] does not [G3756] exercise authority [over] [G1850], but the [G3588] husband . And in like manner [G3668][G1161] also [G2532] the [G3588] husband the [G3588] [ones] of his own [G2398] body [G4983] does not [G3756] exercise authority [over] [G1850], but the wife [G1135].
5: Do not [G3361] deprive one another , except [G1509][G5100] for [G1537] harmony's sake [G4859] for [G4314] a time [G2540], that [G2443] you should relax [G4980] in the [G3588] fasting [G3521] and [G2532] the [G3588] prayer [G4335]! and [G2532] again [G3825] at the same [time] [G1909] the [G3588][G1473] you should come together [G4905], that [G2443] should not [G3361] test [G3985] you [G1473] the [G3588] Satan [G4567] because of [G1223] the [G3588] your intemperance [G1473].
6: But this [G3778][G1161] I say [G3004] according to [G2596] allowance [G4774], not [G3756] according to [G2596] command [G2003].
7: For I want [G2309][G1063] all [G3956] men to be as [G5613] even [G2532] myself [G1683]; but each [G1538] his own [G2398] favor [G5486] has [G2192] from [G1537] God '[G2316]; one [G3739][G3303] so [G3779], and another [G3739][G1161] so [G3779].
8: But I say [G3004][G1161] to the [G3588] unmarried and [G2532] to the [G3588] widows [G5503]; good [G2570] for them [G1473] it is if [G1437] they remain [G3306] as [G5613] even I [G2504].
9: But if [G1487][G1161] they do not [G3756] control themselves [G1467], let [them] marry [G1060]! better [G2908] For [G1063] it is to marry [G1060] than [G2228] to be set on fire [G4448].
10: And to the [G3588] [ones] [G1161] being married [G1060] I exhort [G3853], not [G3756] I [G1473], but the [G3588] Boss '[G2962], [that] a wife [G1135] from a husband not [G3361] separate [G5563].
11: But if [G1437][G1161] even [G2532] she should separate [G5563], let her remain [G3306] unmarried , or [G2228] to the [G3588] husband be reconciled [G2644]! and [G2532] a man's wife [G1135] [is] not [G3361] to be let go .
12: And to the [G3588][G1161] rest [G3062] I [G1473] say [G3004], not [G3756] the [G3588] Boss '[G2962]; if any [G1536] brother wife [G1135] has [G2192] an unbelieving , and [G2532] she [G1473] assents [G4909] to live [G3611] with [G3326] him [G1473], he [is] not [G3361] to leave her [G1473]!
13: And [G2532] a woman [G1135] who [G3748] has [G2192] husband an unbelieving , and [G2532] he [G1473] assents [G4909] to live [G3611] with [G3326] her [G1473], she [is] not [G3361] to leave him [G1473]!
14: is sanctified For [G1063] the [G3588] husband the [G3588] unbelieving by [G1722] the [G3588] wife [G1135]; and [G2532] is sanctified the [G3588] wife [G1135] the [G3588] unbelieving by [G1722] the [G3588] husband ; since [G1893] then the [G3588] children [G5043] of you [G1473] are unclean , but now [G3568][G1161] it is pure '.
15: But if [G1487][G1161] the [G3588] unbeliever separates [G5563], let him be separated [G5563]! [is] not [G3756] enslaved [G1402] the [G3588] brother , or [G2228] the [G3588] sister in [G1722] the [G3588] such [cases [G5108]. But in [G1722][G1161] peace [G1515] has called [G2564] us [G1473] the [G3588] God '[G2316].
16: For what [G5100][G1063] do you know [G1492], O wife [G1135], if [G1487] the [G3588] husband you will deliver [G4982]? Or [G2228] what [G5100] do you know [G1492], O husband , if [G1487] the [G3588] wife [G1135] you will deliver [G4982]?
17: Except [G1508] to each [G1538] as [G5613] God portioned [G3307] the [G3588][G2316], each [G1538] as [G5613] called [G2564] the [G3588] Boss '[G2962] so [G3779] walk [G4043]! And [G2532] so [G3779] in [G1722] the [G3588] assemblies [G1577] all [G3956] I set an order [G1299].
18: [while] being circumcised [G4059] Who [G5100] is called [G2564], let him not [G3361] become uncircumcised [G1986]! in [G1722] uncircumcision Who [G5100] is called [G2564], let him not [G3361] be circumcised [G4059]!
19: the [G3588] Circumcision [G4061] is nothing [G3762], and [G2532] the [G3588] uncircumcision is nothing [G3762], but keeping [G5084] commandments [G1785] of God [is [G2316].
20: Each [G1538] in [G1722] the [G3588] calling [G2821] in which [G3739] he was called [G2564] -- in [G1722] this [G3778] let him abide [G3306]!
21: A slave [G1401] being called [G2564] -- let it not [G3361] be a care [G1473][G3199]; but if [G1487] even [G2532] you are able [G1410] free [G1658] to be [G1096] rather [G3123] -- use it [G5530]!
22: For the [G3588][G1063] in [G1722] Boss '[G2962] being called [G2564] slave [G1401] freedman Boss"s [G2962] is . In like manner [G3668] also [G2532] the [G3588] free one [G1658] being called [G2564], slave [G1401] is Anointed One's [G5547].
23: With value [G5092] you were bought ; do not [G3361] become [G1096] slaves [G1401] of men !
24: Each [G1538] in [G1722] which [G3739] he was called [G2564], brothers , in [G1722] this [G3778] abide [G3306] with [G3844] God '[G2316]!
25: And concerning [G4012][G1161] the [G3588] virgins [G3933], a command [G2003] of Boss '[G2962] I do not [G3756] have [G2192], but an opinion [G1106][G1161] I give [G1325] as [G5613] one being shown compassion [G1653] by [G5259] Boss '[G2962] to be trustworthy [G4103].
26: I think [G3543] then [G3767] this [G3778] [is] good [G2570] existing [G5224] because of [G1223] the [G3588] present [G1764] necessity , that [G3754] it is good [G2570] for a man the [G3588] so [G3779] to be .
27: Have you been tied [G1210] to a wife [G1135], do not [G3361] seek [G2212] a loosening [G3080]! Have you been untied [G3089] from a wife [G1135], do not [G3361] seek [G2212] a wife [G1135]!
28: But if [G1437][G1161] also [G2532] you should marry [G1060], you sinned not [G3756]; and [G2532] if [G1437] should have married [G1060] the [G3588] virgin [G3933] she did not [G3756] sin ; but affliction [G2347][G1161] in the [G3588] flesh [G4561] will have [G2192] the [G3588] such [G5108]. But I [G1473][G1161] spare you [G1473][G5339].
29: But this [G3778][G1161] I say [G5346], brothers , the [G3588] time [G2540] wrapping up [G4958] the [G3588] remaining [G3062] is , that [G2443] also [G2532] the [G3588] [ones] having [G2192] wives [G1135], as [G5613] not [G3361] having [G2192] should be .
30: And [G2532] the [G3588] [ones] weeping [G2799], as [G5613] not [G3361] weeping [G2799]; and [G2532] the [G3588] [ones] rejoicing [G5463], as [G5613] not [G3361] rejoicing [G5463]; and [G2532] the [G3588] [ones] buying , as [G5613] not [G3361] holding [possessions [G2722].
31: And [G2532] the [G3588] [ones] dealing [G5530] [in the [G3588] this arrangement '[G2889][G3778], as [G5613] not [G3361] abusing [it [G2710]. passes by [G3855] For [G1063] the [G3588] condition [G4976] of the [G3588] this arrangement '[G2889][G3778].
32: But I want [G2309][G1161] you [G1473] to be free from care . the [G3588] unmarried is anxious for [G3309] the [things] [G3588] of the [G3588] Boss '[G2962], how [G4459] he is pleasing to the [G3588] Boss '[G2962];
33: but the [G3588] [one] [G1161] married [G1060] [is] anxious for [G3309] the [things] [G3588] of the [G3588] arrangement '[G2889], how [G4459] he pleases the [G3588] wife [G1135].
34: are assigned a part [G3307] even [G2532] the [G3588] wife [G1135] and [G2532] the [G3588] virgin [G3933]. the [G3588] unmarried is anxious for [G3309] the [things] [G3588] of the [G3588] Boss '[G2962], that [G2443] she might be pure ', both [G2532] in body [G4983] and [G2532] in wind/spirit/breathing '[G4151]; but she the [G3588][G1161] having married [G1060] is anxious for [G3309] the [things] [G3588] of the [G3588] arrangement '[G2889], how [G4459] she will please the [G3588] husband .
35: But this [G3778][G1161] for [G4314] the [G3588] your own [G1473][G1473] advantage [G4851] I speak [G3004], not [G3756] that [G2443] a noose [G1029] I should put] around you [G1473][G1911], but to [G4314] the [G3588] decent [G2158] and [G2532] well-occupied [thing] [G2145] with the [G3588] Boss '[G2962] [be] undisturbed .
36: But if [G1487][G1161] anyone [G5100] to be disgraced over [G1909] the [G3588] his virgin [G3933][G1473] thinks [G3543], if [G1437] she should be advanced in years [G5230], and [G2532] so [G3779] it ought [G3784] to be [G1096] what [G3739] he wants [G2309] to do [G4160], he does not [G3756] sin ; let them marry [G1060]!
37: But the one who [G3739][G1161] stands [G2476] settled [G1476] in [G1722] the [G3588] heart [G2588], not [G3361] having [G2192] necessity , authority [G1849] but [G1161] has [G2192] concerning [G4012] the [G3588] [ones] of his own [G2398] will [G2307], and [G2532] this [G3778] he has judged [G2919] in [G1722] the [G3588] his heart [G2588][G1473], the [G3588] to give heed to [G5083] the [G3588] his own [G1438] virgin [G3933], well [G2573] he does [G4160].
38: So that [G5620] also [G2532] the [G3588] [one] giving in marriage [G1547], well [G2573] does [G4160]; and the [G3588] [one] [G1161] not [G3361] giving in marriage [G1547], better [G2908] does [G4160].
39: A wife [G1135] is tied [G1210] by law [G3551] for as long [G1909][G3745] a time [G5550] lives [G2198] the [G3588] as her husband [G1473]; but if [G1437][G1161] should sleep [G2837] the [G3588] her husband [G1473], she is free [G1658] to whom [G3739] she wants [G2309] to marry [G1060], only [G3440] in [G1722] Boss '[G2962].
40: But more blessed [G3107][G1161] is she if [G1437] so [G3779] she should remain [G3306], according to [G2596] the [G3588] my [G1699] opinion [G1106]; but I think [G1380][G1161] I also [G2504] wind/spirit/breathing '[G4151] of God '[G2316] have [G2192].
