1 Chronicles Chapter 21 - | Early Church Bible

1: And [G2532] rose up Satan [G4566] against [G1909] Israel, and [G2532] stirred up the [G3588] David the [G3588] to count the [G3588] Israel.
2: And [G2532] said [G2036] the [G3588] king David] to [G4314] Joab, and [G2532] to [G4314] the [G3588] rulers of for the [G3588]ce [G1411], Go [G4198], count the [G3588] Israel from Beer-sheba unto [G2193] Dan, and [G2532] bring [it [G5342] to [G4314] me [G1473]! and [G2532] I will know [G1097] the [G3588]ir number [G1473].
3: And [G2532] Joab said [G2036], May BOSS add [G4369][G2962] unto [G1909] the [G3588] his people [G2992][G1473] as [G5613] they are a hundred foldly , and [G2532] the [G3588] eyes [G3788] of the [G3588] my boss [G2962][G1473] the [G3588] king seeing [it . Are not [G3378], O my boss [G2962][G1473], O king , all [G3956] [to the [G3588] my boss [G2962][G1473] for [G1519] bondservants [G1401]? And [G2532] why [does [G2444] want [G2309] this [G3778] the [G3588] my boss [G2962][G1473]? so as [G3704] to not become [G3361][G1096] for [G1519] a trespass [to the [G3588] Israel.
4: But the [G3588][G1161] saying [G4487] of the [G3588] king prevailed [G2480] over [G1909] Joab. And [G2532] Joab went forth [G1831], and [G2532] went [G1330] unto [G1722] all [G3956] Israel, and [G2532] went up unto [G1519] Jerusalem.
5: And [G2532] Joab gave [G1325] the [G3588] number of the [G3588] numbering of the [G3588] people [G2992] the [G3588] to David. And [G2532] was all [G3956] Israel] a thousand [G5507] thousand [G5505] and [G2532] a hundred [G1540] thousand [G5505] men unsheathing [G4685] broadsword [G4501]. And [G2532] of Judah -- four hundred [G5071] and [G2532] seventy [G1440] thousand [G5505] men unsheathing [G4685] broadsword [G4501].
6: And [G2532] the [G3588] Levi and [G2532] the [G3588] Benjamin were not counted [G3756] in [G1722] midst [G3319] of them [G1473], for [G3754] [was] disgraceful [G2617] the [G3588] word [G3056] of the [G3588] king to [G4314] Joab.
7: And [G2532] it [was] wicked [G4190] before [G1726] the [G3588] God '[G2316] concerning [G4012] the [G3588] this thing [G4229][G3778], and [G2532] he struck [G3960] the [G3588] Israel.
8: And [G2532] David said [G2036] to [G4314] the [G3588] God '[G2316], I have sinned exceedingly [G4970], that [G3754] I did [G4160] the [G3588] this thing [G4229][G3778]. And [G2532] now [G3568], remove [G4014] indeed [G1211] the [G3588] iniquity of the [G3588] your servant [G1401][G1473]! for [G3754] I acted in folly [G3154] exceedingly [G4970].
9: And [G2532] spoke [G2980] Boss '[G2962] to [G4314] Gad, the [G3588] David's seer [G3708] the [G3588], saying [G3004],
10: Go [G4198] and [G2532] speak [G2980] to [G4314] David! saying [G3004], Thus [G3779] says [G3004] Boss '[G2962], Three [things] [G5140] I will take up [G1473] upon [G1909] you [G1473]; choose [G1586] for yourself [G4572] one [G1520] of [G1537] them [G1473]! and [G2532] I will do [it [G4160] unto you [G1473].
11: And [G2532] Gad came [G2064] to [G4314] David, and [G2532] said [G2036] to him [G1473], Thus [G3779] says [G3004] Boss '[G2962], Choose [G1586] for yourself [G4572]!
12: Either [G2228] three [G5140] years [G2094] of famine [G3042]; or [G2228] three [G5140] months [G3376] fleeing [G5343][G1473] from [G1537] face [G4383] of the [G3588] your enemies [G2190][G1473], with [G2532] sword [G3162] of your enemies [G2190][G1473] pursuing [G2614] you [G1473]; or [G2228] three [G5140] days [G2250] of broadsword [G4501] of Boss '[G2962], and [G2532] plague [G2288] in [G1722] the [G3588] land '[G1093], and [G2532] word-conveyer (messenger) ' of Boss '[G2962] utterly destroying [G1842] among [G1722] all [G3956] inheritance [G2817] of Israel. And [G2532] now [G3568], look [at] [G1492], what [G5100] should I answer to the [G3588] [one] sending me [G1473] word [G3056]?
13: And [G2532] David said [G2036] to [G4314] Gad, [It is] narrow [G4728][G1473] exceedingly [G4970], I will fall [G1706] indeed [G1211] into [G1519] hands [G5495] of Boss '[G2962], for [G3754] great [G4183] the [G3588] his compassions [G3628][G1473] [are] exceedingly [G4970]; but [G2532] into [G1519] hands [G5495] of men in no way should I fall [G1706].
14: And [G2532] BOSS appointed [G1325][G2962] plague [G2288] in [G1722] Israel. And [G2532] there fell [G4098] of [G1537] Israel seventy [G1440] thousand [G5505] men .
15: And [G2532] God sent the [G3588][G2316] a word-conveyer (messenger) ' into [G1519] Jerusalem the [G3588] to utterly destroy [G1842] it [G1473]. And [G2532] as [G5613] he was utterly destroying [G1311], BOSS looked [at] [G1492][G2962] and [G2532] repented [G3338] concerning [G1909] the [G3588] evil [G2549]. And [G2532] he said [G2036] to the [G3588] word-conveyer (messenger) ', to the [G3588] [one] utterly destroying [G1311], Let it be enough [G2427] to you [G1473], spare the [G3588] your hand [G5495][G1473]! And [G2532] the [G3588] word-conveyer (messenger) ' of Boss '[G2962] stood [G2476] at [G1722] the [G3588] threshing-floor of Ornan the [G3588] Jebusite.
16: And [G2532] David lifted up [G1869] the [G3588] his eyes [G3788][G1473], and [G2532] he looked [at] [G1492] the [G3588] word-conveyer (messenger) ' of Boss '[G2962] standing [G2476] between the [G3588] land '[G1093] and [G2532] between the [G3588] raised-place-above (sky) '[G3772], and [G2532] the [G3588] his broadsword [G4501][G1473] being unsheathed [G4685] in [G1722] the [G3588] his hand [G5495][G1473], being stretched out [G1614] over [G1909] Jerusalem. And [G2532] fell [G4098] David and [G2532] the [G3588] elders [G4245] wearing [G4016] sackcloths [G4526] upon [G1909] their face [G4383][G1473].
17: And [G2532] David said [G2036] to [G4314] the [G3588] God '[G2316], Did I not [G3756][G1473] say [G2036] the [G3588] to count among [G1722] the [G3588] people [G2992]? Then [G2532] I [G1473] am the [G3588] [one] sinning -- in doing evil [G2554] I did evil [G2554]. And [G2532] these [G3778] the [G3588] sheep [G4263], what [G5100] did they do [G4160], O Boss '[G2962] the [G3588] God '[G2316]? Let come [G1096] the [G3588] your hand [G5495][G1473] against [G1722] me [G1473], and [G2532] against [G1722] the [G3588] house [G3624] of the [G3588] father [G3962] of me [G1473], and [G2532] not [G3361] against [G1722] the [G3588] your people [G2992][G1473] for [G1519] destruction !
18: And [G2532] word-conveyer (messenger) ' of Boss '[G2962] told [G2036] the [G3588] Gad the [G3588] to say [G2036] to [G4314] David that [G2443] he should go up the [G3588] to establish [G2476] an altar [G2379] to the [G3588] Boss '[G2962] at [G1722] threshing-floor of Ornan the [G3588] Jebusite.
19: And [G2532] David went up according to [G2596] the [G3588] word [G3056] of Gad, which [G3739] he spoke [G2980] in [G1722] name [G3686] of Boss '[G2962].
20: And [G2532] Ornan turned [G1994], and [G2532] he looked [at] [G1492] the [G3588] king . And [G2532] four [G5064] sons [G5207] of him '[G1473] with [G3326] him [G1473] were being hidden [G2928]. And [G2532] Ornan was threshing wheat .
21: And [G2532] David came [G2064] to [G4314] Ornan, and [G2532] Ornan came forth [G1831] from [G1537] the [G3588] threshing-floor . And [G2532] Ornan looked up [G1914], and [G2532] he saw [G1492] the [G3588] David, and [G2532] he did obeisance to [G4352] the [G3588] David with [G1909] face [G4383] upon [G1909] the [G3588] land '[G1093].
22: And [G2532] David said [G2036] to [G4314] Ornan, Give [G1325] to me [G1473] the [G3588] place [G5117] of the [G3588] threshing-floor ! for [G2532] I will build [G3618] upon [G1909] it [G1473] an altar [G2379] to the [G3588] Boss '[G2962]. for [G1722] [its] money's worth Give [G1325] it to me [G1473][G1473]! and [G2532] will cease [G3973] the [G3588] calamity [G4127] from [among [G1537] the [G3588] people [G2992].
23: And [G2532] Ornan said [G2036] to [G4314] David, Take it [G2983] for yourself [G4572], and [G2532] let do [G4160] the [G3588] my boss [G2962][G1473] the [G3588] king [what is the [G3588] good before [G1799] him [G1473]! look [G2400], I have given [G1325] the [G3588] oxen [G1016] for [G1519] a whole burnt-offering , and [G2532] the [G3588] plow for [G1519] wood [G3586], and [G2532] the [G3588] grain for [G1519] a sacrifice [G2378] -- the [G3588] whole [G3956] I have given [G1325].
24: And [G2532] said [G2036] the [G3588] king David the [G3588] to Ornan, Not so [G3780], but only by buying will I buy of [its] money's worth ; for [G3754] in no way will I take [G2983] the [things] [G3588] of yours [G4674] to the [G3588] Boss '[G2962], the [G3588] to offer a whole burnt-offering without charge [to me [G1431] to the [G3588] Boss '[G2962].
25: And [G2532] David gave [G1325] [to the [G3588] Ornan for [G4012] the [G3588] his place [G5117][G1473] shekels of gold [G5553] in scale-weight six hundred [G1812].
26: And [G2532] built [G3618] there [G1563] David] an altar [G2379] [to the] Boss '[G2962]. And [G2532] he offered whole burnt-offerings [G3646], and [G2532] a deliverance [offering [G4992], and [G2532] he yelled to [G4314] Boss '[G2962]. And [G2532] he heeded [G1873] him [G1473] by [G1722] fire [G4442] from out of [G1537] the [G3588] raised-place-above (sky) '[G3772] on [G1909] the [G3588] altar [G2379] of the [G3588] whole burnt-offering .
27: And [G2532] BOSS spoke [G2036][G2962] to [G4314] the [G3588] word-conveyer (messenger) '; and [G2532] he put away [G2698] the [G3588] his broadsword [G4501][G1473] into [G1519] the [G3588] its sheath [G1473].
28: In [G1722] the [G3588] that time [G2540][G1565] when [G1722] the [G3588] David looked [at] [G1492] the [G3588] that [G3754] heeded [G1873] him [G1473] Boss '[G2962] at [G1722] the [G3588] threshing-floor of Ornan the [G3588] Jebusite, then [G2532] he sacrificed there [G1563].
29: And [G2532] the [G3588] tent [G4633] of Boss '[G2962] which [G3739] Moses made [G4160][G1473] in [G1722] the [G3588] wilderness [G2048], and [G2532] the [G3588] altar [G2379] of the [G3588] whole burnt-offerings [G3646], in [G1722] the [G3588] that time [G2540][G1565] [were] in [G1722] Bama in [G1722] Gibeon.
30: And [G2532] [was] not [G3756] able [G1410] David the [G3588] to go [G4198] before [G1715] it [G1473] to seek [G2212] the [G3588] God '[G2316], for [G3754] he hastened from face [G4383] of the [G3588] broadsword [G4501] of the [G3588] word-conveyer (messenger) ' of Boss '[G2962].
